Abstract

Education plays a major role in improving the quality of human resources (Human Receources). One of the latest innovations in education in Indonesia is the Independent Curriculum launched in 2022, which emphasizes active student participation in learning to increase creativity and innovation. In its implementation, teachers play a crucial role as the main implementers of the curriculum. This article discusses the role of teachers in implementing the Independent Curriculum, starting from learning planning, adapting teaching methods, to evaluation.  This study uses a descriptive qualitative method through a literature review, namely from written sources, both printed and electronic.  The results show that the success of implementing the curriculum is highly dependent on the ability of teachers to overcome existing challenges, such as limited facilities, professional readiness, and adjustments to teaching methods. With the right strategy, the role of teachers in implementing the Independent Curriculum can support the progress of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed various aspects of life, including education. The Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum faces significant challenges in adapting to the digital era, particularly in terms of content delivery and learning methodologies. This study employs the library research method, referring to research conducted by Saarinen, Aino I. L. (2021), Digital Technology and its Impact on Education: A Study in Finland, to examine how digital technology affects education and its implications for PAI. The research analyzes the impact of digital technology on the quality of education and formulates solutions that can be applied in the implementation of the PAI curriculum. The findings show that digital technology offers significant opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of PAI learning, but also presents challenges such as a decline in scientific literacy, reading literacy, and collaborative skills. This study serves as a reference for educators and policymakers to continuously develop and support innovations relevant to the evolving times in the PAI curriculum. Abstract

This study examines the impact of curriculum development on the quality of learning and academic growth of students, with a particular focus on Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SD Al Azhar 1 Bandar Lampung. The importance of foundational education in shaping intellectual, emotional, and character development is paramount. However, several challenges emerge in implementing an ideal curriculum, such as limited technological facilities, insufficient continuous teacher training, and time constraints in applying project-based learning. This qualitative research employs a descriptive approach, with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving PAI teachers, students, and parents. Findings reveal that the new curriculum positively influences students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, enhancing their understanding and internalization of Islamic values. Furthermore, project-based learning and contextual methods were shown to significantly engage students and foster character building. Nevertheless, challenges such as inadequate technological support and the need for ongoing professional development for teachers were identified as factors that hinder optimal implementation. This research suggests that improvements in technology access, continuous training, and flexible learning schedules are necessary to maximize the curriculum’s effectiveness. The study offers practical recommendations to optimize curriculum application, particularly for Islamic education, and serves as a reference for enhancing educational policy in Indonesia's primary education system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum at State Elementary School 3 Wayhalim, Bandar Lampung, and to identify the factors influencing its success in meeting students' needs in the modern era. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Findings reveal five main factors affecting the implementation of the PAI curriculum: time constraints, teacher competence, community involvement, facility support, and curriculum flexibility. Observations show that lecture methods dominate instructional time, which tends to reduce the effectiveness of interactive learning in fostering students' emotional intelligence and understanding of religious values. Additionally, community involvement and limited facilities, especially in providing technology that supports inclusive learning, pose significant challenges. The results of this study show the importance of teacher training in using interactive teaching methods and digital technology, as well as improving facilities to support student needs. It further recommends stronger collaboration between schools and the community in curriculum design and evaluation to enhance the relevance of religious values in students' daily lives. With these supports, the PAI curriculum is expected to be implemented more effectively and adaptively, playing an optimal role in shaping students' character with integrity and tolerance.

Abstract

The relationship between learning theories and their consequences for the creation of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum is examined in this paper. The requirement of integrating cognitive, behavioral, and constructivist learning theories, the challenges of successful implementation, and the need to match the curriculum with contemporary educational practices are some of the main topics covered. The goal of the study is to examine how different learning theories might improve the PAI curriculum and give students a more interesting and fulfilling learning environment. Using a qualitative methodology, the study collected information on current practices and difficulties by conducting interviews with curriculum developers and instructors as well as literature reviews. The results show that incorporating different learning theories into the curriculum enhances it and fosters students' moral and critical thinking. In order for teachers to successfully implement these theoretical frameworks in their instruction, the study also highlights the significance of continual professional development. In order to fulfill the varied requirements of kids, curricular policymakers should embrace a dynamic and inclusive approach to PAI, according to the research's conclusions. Abstract

An in-depth investigation of a study aimed at comprehensively examining the influence of the inquiry learning model on the learning motivation and learning outcomes of tenth-grade students in MA Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung. Given that student learning motivation and learning outcomes often need improvement, this study examines inquiry as a learning catalyst. The research method used was quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach, involving the measurement of numerical data to analyze the relationship between variables. The population of this study included all tenth-grade students in MA Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung, with the sample being determined using purposive or cluster random sampling to ensure relevant representation. Quantitative data were collected through test instruments to measure learning outcomes (learning outcomes) and questionnaires to measure student learning motivation. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistical tests, such as the t-test, to compare the group implementing the inquiry model with the control group and to identify the significance of its influence. Previous research has shown that the inquiry model, both guided and media-based, can improve student motivation and learning outcomes in various subjects and educational levels. This study is expected to provide the latest empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of the inquiry model in increasing motivation and learning achievement of Islamic jurisprudence at the Madrasah Aliyah level, especially at MA Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung, as well as offering practical implications for the development of more interactive and participatory learning strategies in Islamic religious education.
