Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum and teaching in improving the quality of basic education in the digital era. To achieve this goal, the research employs a descriptive qualitative methodology using techniques such as classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research shows that the PAI curriculum combined with digital technology can enhance student engagement in learning, demonstrate the relevance of the material to everyday life, and improve students' understanding of Islamic values. However, primarily due to the lack of training and supporting facilities, some teachers still face difficulties in implementing technology-based methods. This study found that curriculum evaluation must be conducted continuously to ensure its relevance to the demands of the digital era. In addition, the development of digital infrastructure and teacher training are important components in enhancing the effectiveness of PAI learning. This study provides practical recommendations to improve the quality of basic education through curriculum updates that are responsive to technological advancements and student needs.

This study examines the application of the ‎integrated learning model in Islamic Religious Education at the junior high school ‎level, focusing on its impact on students' understanding of religious values and ‎engagement in the learning process. This study was conducted at Al Azhar 1 Junior ‎High School in Bandar Lampung. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed ‎to explore the implementation of the integrated learning model. Data were ‎collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document ‎analysis. The participants included teachers, students, the school principal, and the ‎vice principal. Analysis followed Miles and Huberman's ‎interactive ‎model, with data validity ensured through triangulation, offering an objective view ‎of ‎the model's effect on student engagement and understanding. Results showed that the integrated learning model effectively connects religious values with students' real-life contexts, enhancing their understanding and participation. Students became more active in discussions and felt motivated to apply religious values in their daily lives, mainly through themes like honesty, discipline, and cooperation presented in relatable scenarios. The study implies that the integrated learning model in Islamic Religious Education increases student engagement and supports positive character development. These findings provide valuable insights for designing a more engaging and impactful curriculum that aligns with the goals of Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

Islamic education is faced with two dilemmas: the demands of modernism and the preservation of the Islamic scientific tradition. This dilemma requires Islamic educational institutions to accommodate both demands in the curriculum. SMA Negeri 1 Adiluwih seeks to develop a curriculum model that integrates modern research and Islamic tradition, which is the focus of this research, including the challenges faced. This research uses qualitative methods based on phenomenological studies with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results reveal that efforts include improving teacher competence, integrating learning materials, and project-based learning. This research-based curriculum and Islamic tradition have positively contributed to the learning process by integrating Islamic values and encouraging students to think critically and reflectively. Development challenges include limited resources and external support, especially from parents. This research corroborates Fazlur Rahman's theory of reformulating Islamic education that integrates modern science with Islamic scientific traditions to answer the challenges of the times. Rahman emphasizes the importance of a research-based approach to building critical understanding, as applied in the curriculum model of SMA Negeri 1 Adiluwih.

Abstract

Developing the Islamic Religious Education curriculum in Indonesia is very important and urgent due to changing social, cultural, and technological dynamics. This study aims to analyze the development of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum in schools and madrasahs in Indonesia, which is increasingly important given social, cultural, and technological changes that affect the needs of learners. This research is expected to provide practical recommendations for improving the quality of religious education through a relevant and effective curriculum. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, such as syllabi and lesson plans. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive method to find the main themes in implementing the Islamic Religious Education curriculum. The results show that most teachers still need the training to understand the "Merdeka Curriculum". At the same time, the availability of infrastructure and the use of modern technology media such as gamification greatly affect the quality of learning. The findings offer valuable insights for policymakers and educators in designing an Islamic Religious Education curriculum that better addresses contemporary educational needs.

Abstract

The ability to think critically and motivate students to learn in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning is one of the abilities students need to support them in solving problems in PAI lessons. Based on pre-research results, students' critical thinking skills and learning motivation are still low; apart from that, there is a lack of variety in the learning models used. To overcome this problem, researchers used the PBL learning model. This research aims to determine the effect of the PBL learning model on students' critical thinking abilities and learning motivation. This research is research (Quasi-Experimental Design). The sampling technique uses the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The sample in this research was class X (TKR) students as the experimental class and class X (TKJ) as the control class. The instruments used to collect data are tests and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using the MANOVA test. Based on the MANOVA test, the values obtained from Pillai's Trace, Wilks' Lamda, Hotelling's Trace, Roy's Largest Root = 0.000, and α test criteria = 0.05, which means the p-value value is smaller than α test criteria, so H_0 is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the PBL learning model influences students' critical thinking abilities and learning motivation.

Abstract

Childcare, more popularly called DayCare (DC), must be adequately packaged to create an ideal learning environment and meet care needs as long as the children are not with their parents. This study aims to analyze the standard management of facilities and infrastructure in daycare to be used as a reference in managing a quality daycare. A single case design qualitative approach (single unit holistic analysis) was used as the research method. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews with the head of a professional daycare center. The results are then analyzed thematically through data reduction, data presentation, and concluding with the help of NVivo 12.0 software. The study's results through observations and interviews found that the management of facilities and infrastructure had been carried out properly, such as planning needs, procurement, inventory, storage, maintenance, use and removal, and structuring of land, buildings, school equipment, and furniture. However, the research findings show a need for a management information system to monitor all student activities. Then if you want to create a quality childcare center, CCTV in every corner of the room must be equipped to see all the children's activities. This research implies that it provides interesting information and needs attention for all DCs.
