Abstract

This study explores the transformational leadership experiences of women academic leaders in Islamic higher education institutions in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia, within the context of Society 5.0. Employing a phenomenological qualitative method, the study conducted in-depth interviews with five leaders and an Information Technology expert. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews with five women academic leaders serving as Vice Rector, Dean, Head of Study Program, and Secretary of Study Program. An additional interview was conducted with the Information Technology expert as part of expert triangulation, enriching the study’s perspective on the implications of technological integration in academic leadership. The results indicate a consistent tendency towards transformational leadership, which is considered the most adaptive and sustainable model for addressing rapid social and digital changes. Participants emphasized the importance of emotional connection, ethical foundations, and collaborative innovation as key components of effective leadership in the Society 5.0 era. Furthermore, this study shows that transformational leadership enables institutions not only to adapt to technological advancements but also to maintain a humanistic and inclusive academic culture. These findings have significant implications for leadership development in Islamic higher education, underscoring the importance of vision, moral integrity, and empathy in navigating future complexities.

Abstract

The recent integration of learning models in the learning process has become the focus of science education experts, especially in Indonesia, such as the adoption of the Reading-Concept Map Think Pair Share (Remap TPS) learning model. This study aims to improve the students’ cognitive abilities, and scientific attitudes through the Reading-Concept Map Think Pair Share model. The study was conducted to junior high school students by employing Quasi-experimental with Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The instruments used were multiple choice tests and observation sheets. The result of the research shows that the students’ cognitive ability is in the medium category with an N-gain value of 0.47. Based on this result, it can be concluded that the Remap TPS learning influences the students’ cognitive ability. The obtained average percentage score of the students’ scientific attitudes is 81.76% which belongs to the very good category. Thus, it can be concluded that this study provides important implications for educators to be more creative in designing learning models in order to improve the students’ cognitive abilities and scientific attitudes.

Abstract

In the school-based education system, educators often prioritize cognitive development over students' emotional development. It is crucial to instill good character in children from a young age as it influences them well into adulthood. Research indicates that the RSMC method is effective for nurturing early childhood character traits. This study examines the application of the RSMC method in Kindergarten, using a single case design with a holistic approach. Data collection methods included observation, interviews with an experienced educator, and documentation of lesson plans and curriculum structures. The Milles and Hubermen interactive model was employed for data analysis, involving descriptive data collection, data reduction, and data presentation to draw conclusions. The findings suggest that the RSMC approach, comprising Scheduled Routine Activities (R), Unscheduled Spontaneous Activities (S), Modelling and Giving Examples (M), and Environmental Conditioning (C), effectively fosters character development in daily activities. This method can assess changes in students' behavior resulting from specific stimuli and responses. Therefore, the RSMC method developed in this study offers a viable option for early childhood character cultivation. Further research should explore the long-term effectiveness of different positive bias methods for character education in early childhood.

Abstract

Migration is a form of migration that can be seen in several regions in Indonesia. Wandering not only occurs in finding work but also in students who will continue their education in college. Migrant students will experience situations that are different from life in their place of origin, for example differences in culture, language and communication. As social beings we cannot be separated from interaction, where in this interaction a special feeling will be formed that is received by humans produced from a place with various elements in it, including those who live in it, this special feeling is called the sense of place . In interacting not all individuals feel safe and comfortable, but there are also those who have feelings of anxiety, fear, or worry about the surrounding environment,  anxiety or concern related to social situations is called social anxiety. This study uses quantitative research methods with the subject of 90 students from Tarbiyah and Teaching Faculty of Lampung State Islamic University as chosen by using the sample technique, namely purposive sampling. Data collection uses a questionnaire about the variable sense of place and social anxiety variables . Hypothesis testing in this study uses Product Moment correlation analysis . The conclusion of the study is that there is a relationship between the sense of place and social anxiety on students from the Tarbiyah Faculty of Education and Teacher Training at the State Islamic University Raden Intan Lampung.
