Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to develop test based on critical thinking skills and its relevance as an evaluation tools in garde XI senior high school which are valid, practical and can measure student critical thinking skills. The subject of this research were high school students of grade XI. The process of developing test based on critical thinking skills was carried out using the ADDIE development model consists of analysis, design, develop, implementation and evaluation. The test developed was 11 items representing 11 indicators of critical thinking. Based on the results of research, the average value of validity shows 4.42 and includes a very valid criterion. The results of the implementation at SMAN 8 Makassar show that the test is very practical with a practicality value of 4.53 with the percentage of student responses being 70% with good criteria. The results of item analysis were obtained by the eleven questions having good quality in terms of validity, reliability, level of difficulty and discrimination. The level of critical thinking skills possessed by students is 48% with moderate criteria.Keywords: test, critical thinking skills, ADDIE.

Abstract

Abstract.  This research is a classroom action research. The purpose of this study improves the activity and student learning outcomes through application of learning strategy Everyone is a Teacher Here. Research subjects are students of class X.I SMA Negeri 3 Sengkang. This research carried out during two cycles. Data collection implemented in the second semester of academic year 2016/2017. This research measure learning activity and learning outcomes. Learning activity measure with observation sheet and learning outcomes measure with written test consist of multiple-choice question as much as 20 items. Student learning activities collected during the learning process observed by 3 observers using observation sheet, then learning outcomes data obtained through evaluation when teaching’s time first and second meeting was done and on third meeting was evaluation.  This matter occurs on each cycle. All the data obtained were analyzed through three ways: qualitative analysis for student learning activities, quantitative for student learning outcomes. Results of research on student learning activity that has been analyzed shows the average in the first cycle of 55.6%, while in the second cycle of 67.2%, so the difference in the increase of 11.6%. Student learning outcomes also increased where the average value on observation data of 69.6, 64.4 the first cycle, and the second cycle 74.8. It can be concluded that the application of learning strategy Everyone is a Teacher Here can increase the activity and student learning outcomes. Abstract

Abstract. The aim of this experiment is to determine the level of knowledge of reproduction health and attitude toward premarital sexual for Biology Students in State University of Makassar. This experiment has model of descriptive experiment with simple survey method. The subject of this experiment is Biology Student in State University of Makassar by using of non probability sampling technique with convience sampling method and amount of sample is 45 respondences. The collected data from the level of knowledge of health reproduction and attitude toward premarital sexual analyze by using qualitative analysis technique with calculate the frequencies and percentage. The result of this experiment from the level of knowledge of reproduction health is in good category with percentage of 75,6%, and the result of attitude toward premarital sexual is mostly decline  with 91,1% of percentage. Based on the analysis we can conclude that the level of knowledge of reproduction health of Biology Student in State University of Makassar has good level, and their attitude toward premarital sexual does not support it.Keywords: level of knowledge, reproduction health, premarital sexual, attitude

Abstract

Abstract. This research was aimed to produce BioMagz product as an alternative resource of independent learning which was valid and practical used in SMA Negeri 1 Mangkutana. This was a research and development using 4D model by Thiagarajan which consisted of 4 steps, namely (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Develop and Disseminate. The research result developed BioMagz was valid and practical. The value of the validity was 4.17 which meant that BioMagz as an alternative resource of independent learning included in the valid criteria. The value of practicality was 4.6, which meant that BioMagz as an alternative resource of independent learning belonged to the practical criteria. While the student response presentation of 84,5% which means BioMagz got positive response from student. Keywords: BioMagz, Alternative, Resource of Independent Learning

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study is a pre-experiment with a one group pretest-posttestdesign research design that aims to determine the effectiveness of learning NHT model with a scientific apporoach to student’s biology learning interest and outcomes. The sample of this study was selected randomly and selected in class X MIPA 2 as the experimental group. Data collection techniques through the provision of multiple choice test a description test before (pretest) and after (posttest) learning and giving learning interest questionnaires before (pretest) and after (posttest). Data analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis with t-test. The results showed that (1) The effectiveness of the cooperative learning NHT model with a scientific apporoach to student biology learning interest, which is effective. (2) The effectiveness of the cooperative learning model NHT with a scientific apporoach to student biology learning outcomes which is effective. (3) Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model with a scientific apporoach an effective be applied with the efectiveness criteria of learning implementation fulfilled, the activities of students are ini a very good category, the response of positive students as well as interest and biology learning outcomes of students increases.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a pocket book that is valid, practical and effective. This research includes a descriptive research with development of learning tools using ADDIE development model. Subjects in this research is a pocket book on the Respiratory System subject with respondents two professors of Biology UNM, a biology teacher and 35 students of grade XI IPA2 of SMA Negeri 1 Tamalatea Jeneponto. Assessment instrument consists of three, namely (1) instrument validity of a questionnaire assessment validation pocket book (2) practicality instrument in the form of questionnaire responses teacher and student questionnaire responses, and (3) the effectiveness of the instrument in the form of test results of learning. The results showed pocket book declared fit for use by an average of validity of three validators was equal to 4.5 (valid). Teacher's response analysis was very positive with a value of 89,89% and a very good response from students by 89.91% as well as the learning results of all students had passed the standard of learning outcome. This research shows that the pocket book was classified as valid, practical, and effective.Keywords: teaching materials, pocket book, respiratory system, learning results

Abstract

The number and type of microorganisms in the soil indicate soil fertility. The use of fertilizers can affect the growth of microorganisms in the soil. Quantitative tests are conducted to evaluate how fertilizers affect the presence of bacteria, fungi, and algae. The number of bacteria and fungi is calculated using the standard plate count method, while the number of algae is calculated using the most probable number method. The highest number of bacteria found in urea-phosphate-potassium (UPK) applications of zeolite polymers is 50%, which is 3.4 × 106 CFU/mL; the most fungi are found in 25% of applications, which is 2.5 × 104 CFU/mL. In contrast, the highest algae population was in control soils, 2.7 × 104 CFU/mL. However, for treatment, an enormous amount is found in the administration of 50% zeolite polymer UPK as much as 1.4 × 103 CFU/mL, so it can be concluded that the administration of UPK zeolite polymer affects the number of microorganisms on the cornfield. Abstract

Organic fertilizers contain complete nutrients needed by plants, such as humic acid and fulvic acid, that can promote plant growth and increase the population of beneficial microbes in the soil. Algae can be an organic fertilizer in extract preparations that can increase plant growth and improve soil composition. The calculated number of microbes from the soil on corn land with the application of algae extracts affects the population of soil microbes both by standard plate count (SPC) and most probable number (MPN) methods. The total number of bacteria by SPC in the control soil was 3.1 × 105 CFU/g, while the total fungus was only 1.7 × 104 CFU/g upon applying 5% algae extract. The most microalgae by MPN in the control ground was estimated to be 2.6 × 104 cells/g. Therefore, the application of algae extract affects the number of soil microbes on corn land compared to control soil. The algae extract reduces the number of bacteria and algae but increases the number of fungi on cornfields. Keywords: algae extracts, cornfields, soil microbes

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pembelajaran di SMP Negeri 1 Kedu, yang berlokasi di Jalan Raya Mojotengah Kedu Temanggung berlangsung satu arah berpusat pada guru menyebabkan rendahnya motivasi dan keaktifan belajar siswa. Tujuan penilitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan keaktifan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA dengan menerapkan metode Poblem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sejak mulai bulan Mei sampai dengan Juli 2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subyek penelitian kelas VIII F dengan jumlah 14 siswa. Data penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak 3 siklus. Siklus I dan II dilakukan secara luring, dan sklus III dilaksanakan secara daring. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui lembar observasi guru. Motivasi dan keaktifan belajar siswa dilihat dari sikap siswa dalam melakukan percobaan dan diskusi pada kegiatan mengolah data dan mengkomunikasikan hasil diskusi kelompok. Berdasar hasil pengamatan diperoleh data bahwa siswa aktif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran yaitu siklus I sebanyak 6 siswa, siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 10 siswa, siklus III mengalami penurunan sebanyak 8 siswa, Meskipun demikian metode PBL dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan keaktifan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA.Kata kunci: Model Pembelajaran, PBL, Pesawat Sederhana

Abstract

Di awal masa pandemi, Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) dirasa masih menyenangkan bagi siswa. Mereka selalu hadir dalam Video Converence (vicon) dan mengumpulkan tugas tepat waktu. Namun, makin lama siswa mulai menujukkan sikap kurang bersemangat. Dari persoalan inilah penulis melakukan penelitian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap motivasi belajar IPA siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Sidoharjo. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, yang dilaksanakan sejumlah dua siklus. Data diambil dari pemberian angket kepasa siswa. Analisis data menggunakan teknik kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasilnya, pada siklus pertama, siswa masih kurang aktif dalam pembelajaran. Siklus kedua, ada peningkatan keaktifan siswa, yang ditunjukkan oleh keaktifan dalam diskusi kelompok, maupun interaksi siswa saat kegiatan presentasi. Keaktifan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa.Kata Kunci : Motivasi belajar, PBL, Problem Based Learning, IPA
