Abstract

Pelatihan public speaking menjadi keterampilan yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa Universitas Bumigora dalam mendukung keberhasilan akademik dan profesional. Meskipun demikian, banyak mahasiswa yang masih mengalami kesulitan dalam berbicara di depan umum, seperti rasa gugup, kurang percaya diri, dan ketidakmampuan menyampaikan ide secara jelas dan terstruktur. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan public speaking mahasiswa dengan penerapan metode Presentation, Practice, and Production (PPP). Metode ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yaitu: Presentation, yang memperkenalkan teori dan konsep dasar public speaking; Practice, yang memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk berlatih berbicara di depan kelompok kecil; dan Production, yang mengharuskan mahasiswa untuk menyampaikan presentasi secara mandiri di depan audiens. Program pelatihan ini melibatkan mahasiswa dari berbagai program studi di Universitas Bumigora dan dilakukan dengan pendekatan partisipatif, yang memungkinkan mahasiswa terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa, termasuk dalam aspek percaya diri, teknik komunikasi verbal dan non-verbal, serta kemampuan mengatasi kecemasan saat berbicara di depan publik. Dengan demikian, metode PPP terbukti efektif dalam membantu mahasiswa Universitas Bumigora untuk mengembangkan keterampilan public speaking yang lebih baik dan siap menghadapi tantangan komunikasi di dunia akademik dan profesional.

Abstract

One of a major problem for many industries including life insurance is customer churn. Because insurance contracts are often renewed every year, insurance businesses have a much harder time retaining customers than other businesses. The main objective of this research is to mitigate expected customer loss and retain potentially lost customers by increasing incentive product and service offerings on behalf of PT. XYZ Insurance, one of the life insurance companies in Indonesia which was founded in 2008. With a total of 123,982 policyholder data were included in the data set for this research, which covers a one-year data period as of December 2022. These data include details about the insurance holder, age of the insured, payment frequency, tenor, premium, and the product chosen by the policyholder of customers at PT. XYZ Insurance. In this research, the data is processed based on binary logistic regression in SPSS, where the data is processed in such a way as to produce output that meets the researchers' expectations. From the results of this research, there are around 16,951 insurance customers who have the potential to churn customers. So, company must implement customized value propositions based on research findings to help retain customers and reduce churn rates effectively in the competitive insurance market. Then the results of this research can also be used to target identified customers in marketing campaigns aimed at reducing churn rates while increasing profitability

Abstract

Currently, the railway line from Lahat to Lubuklinggau uses the R.42 rail type with a crossing power capacity of 2,106 > 5,106 tons/year. An increase in road class is needed to increase crossing capacity. This research aims to determine the feasibility and impact of upgrading the rail type from R.42 to R.54 to improve the operational efficiency and safety of the Lahat-Lubuklinggau railway line. In this study, the author uses the railway loading method using the beam on the elastic foundation (BoEF) concept to calculate rail permit voltage to ensure that the capacity of the railroad can accommodate the load of railway traffic. The study results in show that with the upgrade of the railroad class to class III with the R.54 rail type, this line can transport a load of 5,924,001.60 tons/year, an increase from 1,838,390.40 tons/year. In addition, the track with the R.54 rail type also meets the requirements for trains with the largest load, considering that the allowable voltage (1,097.18 kg/cm²) is smaller than the previous rail allowable voltage (1,738.14 kg/cm²). It is estimated that the R.54 rail type has a life resistance of 16-17 years against crossing power without the Babaranjang train and for 9-10 years against crossing power with the Babaranjang train for the coming year.

Abstract

Stress kerja dapat beresiko bagi kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang dapat menyebabkan stress kerja pada perawat diantaranya adalah konflik interpersonal dan beban kerja. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan diketahui bahwa perawat di ruang rawat inap RSUD Gunung tua mengalami stress kerja. Penelitian ini membahas tentang stress kerja yang diakibatkan oleh konflik interpersonal dan beban kerja, dimana konflik interpersonal berupa ego dan policy conflik. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh konflik interpersonal dan beban kerja terhadap stres kerja perawat di RSUD Gunung Tua Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara Tahun 2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain survei analitik dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 67 orang dan Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tehnik total sampling dengan menggunakan kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 57. Analisa Data dilakukan secara Univariat, Bivariat dan Multivariat. Untuk Analisis Bivariat menggunakan Uji statistik chi square dan uji multivariat menggukanan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh antara konflik interpersonal terhadap stresss kerja dengan nilai signifikan < 0.05.berdasarkan uji multivariate diketahui bahwa konflik interpersonal lebih memengaruhi stress kerja perawat. Disarankan kepada pihak rumah sakit untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap manajemen konflik interpersonal dan memberikan reward atau hadiah kepada perawat yang mempunyai beban kerja yang tinggi dan membuat kebijakan mengetnai tugas perawat sesuai SOP di ruang rawat inap dan kebijakan terkait jam kerja perawat di ruang rawat inap.Kata Kunci: Konflik interpersonal, beban kerja, stres kerja perawatOccupational stress can risk safety and health of workers. There are several factors that can cause work stress on nurses including interpersonal conflict and workload. As per preliminary studies, nurses in the inpatient room at Gunung Tua Hospital is stressed at work. Work stress is caused by interpersonal conflict and workload, the interpersonal conflict focusing on the process of ego and policy conflict in this study. The purpose of the research is just how interpersonal conflict and workload effect nurses' work stress in 2021 at Gunung Tua Hospital in North Padang Lawas Regency. The analytical survey using a cross sectional approach was employed as the quantitative research method. The study's population was 67 respondents, and the sample employed a total sampling technique with inclusion and exclusion criteria, creating a total sample of 57 people. Univariate, Bivariate, and Multivariate data analysis were used. The chi square statistical test was used for bivariate analysis, and the ordinal logistic regression analysis was used for multivariate analysis.With a significant value of 0.05, the results showed that interpersonal conflict would have an effect on work stress. According the multivariate test, interpersonal conflict has a greater impact on nurses' work stress. It is recommended that its hospital evaluate the management of interpersonal conflict, give rewards or prizes to nurses who have a high workload, and adopt policies for nurse skills in inpatient rooms founded on SOPs, and policies for nurses' working hours in inpatient rooms.Keywords: Interpersonal Conflik, Nurse Workload, Nurse Work Stress, Inpatient Room

Abstract

Railroad level crossings are potential points that are prone to serious accident risks. As transportation infrastructure grows, the importance of safety at level crossings increases. The accident prediction equation developed by the United State Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) is one of the most frequently used formulas due to its accuracy in predicting the number of accidents at level crossings. In this study, the calculation of hazard index and hazard index and probability of accidents for the next few years using the U.S. DOT formula approach at level crossings located in Madiun City, namely JPL 1, JPL 136 and JPL 138. Based on the results of the Hazard Index calculation, JPL 136 has the highest hazard index value of 194.859 followed by JPL 138 and JPL 1. The results of accident predictions for the next three years at both JPL 1, JPL 136 and JPL 138 are likely to occur 2 accidents at the crossing.

Abstract

The construction of road pavements at level crossings typically employs flexible asphalt pavements, which are prone to peeling and damage. It has been stated that the pavement structure at at-grade crossings between roads and railway tracks should differ from the pavement structure in sections approaching the crossing. The pavement structure at at-grade crossings is recommended to have greater strength than the pavement structure on existing road sections, such as the use of rigid concrete pavements (Prasarana, 2004). In this research, the road pavement at the JPL 136 at-grade crossing in Madiun City is planned to use rigid cement concrete pavement, with the construction calculation using the cement concrete pavement planning method (Ministry of Public Works and Housing, 2003). After analysis, a rigid cement concrete pavement construction with a thickness of 150 mm, a compressive strength of 35 MPa, longitudinal reinforcement D16-170, and transverse reinforcement D12-100 with BJTS 420 A type was obtained.

Abstract

Nowadays, the environmental issue is one of the biggest problems worldwide. It is because the climate change deteriorates from time to time; the earth becomes warmer, and pollution polluted the environment. Humans have a pivotal role in changing the earth because they damage the ecosystem by using numerous plastics, throw many of rubbish, and cutting plenty of trees. As a result, climate change and global warming become worse. Consequently, all stakeholders need to take the responsibility to protect the earth. Some groups blame the government; however; environmental issues are the government’s responsibility and all society’s matters, including academicians. This community service activity was conducted in one of the remote areas in Bunbeleng village, East Sekotong district, East Lombok. The Project was held by Relawan Saling Jaga Indonesia (Relasi) funded by Direct Aid Program (DAP) Australian Consulate-General, Bali Indonesia coordinated by Isyatul Mardiah. This project was conducted based on Project-based Learning (PBL). There are five stages in implementing this project: planning the project, monitoring the project, presenting the project, and evaluating the project. The environment topics were elaborated in this community through the PBL. After the program, the students have more knowledge in reducing, recycling, and reusing plastics and green programs with planting trees. The students were very enthusiastic and motivated. The collection of the project was exhibited isn the classroom.

Abstract

Pelaporan keuangan berbasis akrual cenderung hanya menyajikan informasi historis yang bersifat retrospektif, sehingga kurang mendukung kebutuhan prospektif dalam pengambilan keputusan. Artikel ini mengkaji momentum accounting sebagai paradigma baru pelaporan keuangan. Konsep yang diperkenalkan Yuji Ijiri (1989) ini menambahkan dimensi momentum (laju perubahan) dan force (penyebab perubahan) untuk melengkapi dimensi tradisional stock dan flow. Hasil kajian literatur menunjukkan bahwa momentum accounting memberikan informasi yang lebih dinamis, prediktif, dan prospektif dibanding laporan keuangan konvensional. Penelitian sebelumnya (Melse, 2008; Dasuki, 2020; Sun, 2022) mendukung bahwa konsep ini memperkaya decision usefulness dengan menjelaskan arah, kecepatan, serta penyebab perubahan kinerja perusahaan. Selain itu, momentum accounting sejalan dengan regulasi internasional yang menekankan transparansi, keberlanjutan, dan prospek jangka panjang. Meski begitu, tantangan implementasi masih ada, seperti kebutuhan teknologi real-time, standar baru, dan kesiapan praktisi. Secara keseluruhan, momentum accounting berpotensi menjadi pelengkap integrated reporting sekaligus menjawab tuntutan pelaporan modern di era digital dan penuh ketidakpastian.
