Abstract

Abstract: Community participation is the main requirement in achieving an expected activity goal. In fact, community participation in the Intra Uterine Device (IUD) Family Planning program in the villages of Murung Raya, Balah Paikat and Hakurung is still low. According to data from the 2022 Family Planning Counseling Center, people who use IUD KB in Murung Raya Village (2 people), Balah Paikat (0 people) and Hakurung (0 people). People still use a lot of birth control injections and birth control pills. There are people who are pregnant and want to have children. The community does not understand about this IUD family planning because they have never participated in socialization. This study aims to determine community participation in the Intra Uterine Device (IUD) family planning program in the villages of Murung Raya, Balah Paikat and Hakurung. And the factors that influence community participation in the Intra Uterine Device (IUD) family planning program. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data source of the informant withdrawal technique used purposive sampling of 15 informants. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, observation, and documentation. Analyzed with data techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Credibility tests, namely extending observations, increasing persistence, triangulation, analyzing negative cases, using reference materials and conducting member checks. The results of this study indicate that community participation in the Intra Uterine Device (IUD) family planning program in the villages of Murung Raya, Balah Paikat and Hakurung is not good, it can be seen that the community still lacks information due to limited information media, many people are afraid to use IUD KB because of the issues circulating, the community does not provide ideas and ideas about the development of IUD KB, regarding achieving appropriate targets but the community uses a lot of KB injections, pills and implants. The driving factor for community participation is socialization and the installation of KB IUDs. The inhibiting factor is the lack of public knowledge and the community feeling safe using other contraceptives. To increase community participation by providing more socialization and continuing to offer this IUD KB and slowly eliminating issues circulating in the community so that people in Murung Raya Village, Balah Paikat, Hakurung and all villages in Daha Utara District want to use this IUD KB   Keywords: Community Participation, Program, IUD

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by obstacles in fulfilling facilities, the absence of a waiting room in circulation services, the lack of staff, the presence of noise in the reading room area, and the lack of book updates. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of Public Satisfaction with Services at the Hulu Sungai Utara Regency Regional Library. The research method is descriptive quantitative, with a sample of 94 respondents. Data collection techniques are distributing questionnaires, observation, literature studies, and documentation. The sampling technique uses Probability Sampling, analyzing data using the perception value provision test. The results show that the index value obtained is 3.044 and the value of the public satisfaction index after being converted is 76.1, so the service quality is "B". So it can be concluded that the Public Satisfaction Index at the Hulu Sungai Utara Regency Regional Library is said to be good. Then, it can be seen that the indicator that has the highest IKM value is requirements = 3.176 (11.57%) with a conversion value of (3.176 X 25) = 79.4 weight value "B" category Good/Satisfied, while the lowest indicator value is facilities and infrastructure = 2.968 with a conversion value of (2.968 X 25) = 74.2 weight value "C" category Less Good/Less Satisfied. Several aspects that must be made the main priority in improving services are adjusted to the findings in this study, namely completion time, implementer competence, complaint handling, and facilities and infrastructure

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of culinary experience and product quality on the brand image of traditional snacks at Catarina Cake & Coffee Batam. The type of research conducted is quantitative research based on a survey. Data collection was conducted using a 1-5 Likert scale questionnaire distributed to 150 respondents selected using purposive sampling, namely respondents who had enjoyed traditional snacks at Catarina Cake & Coffee Batam. The research instruments were prepared by identifying the research objectives and variables, conducting validity tests, and reliability tests. Data analysis was performed using classical assumptions (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity), t-tests, and F-tests (ANOVA) with the help of SPSS software. The results showed that culinary experience had a significant positive effect on brand image, with a t-value of 2.652 and a significance level of 0.009 (<0.05). Product quality also had a significant positive effect on brand image, with a t-value of 9.403 and a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05). Through the F test (ANOVA), a value of F = 229.981 with Sig. = 0.000 (<0.05) was obtained, indicating that culinary experience and product quality together have a significant effect on brand image. These results prove that the better the culinary experience and the higher the product quality, the stronger the brand image formed in the minds of consumers. The implications of these findings indicate that developing a better culinary experience and product quality contributes to the understanding of the food service business, especially Catarina Cake, by emphasizing the role of innovation and quality as key factors in achieving market excellence.

Abstract

Celery (Apium graveolens L.) is a horticultural commodity with high export value, was susceptible to attack by root knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.) which causes root swelling and reduced yields. Farmers often use chemical control, but it risks polluting the environment. This research aims to assess the effectiveness of tuba powder (Derris elliptica) as an environmentally friendly vegetable pesticide. A one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used with five treatments and four replications (a total of 60 plants), namely control and tube powder doses of 5, 10, 15 and 20 g, each of which was inoculated with 500 L2 Meloidogyne spp larvae. The results showed that all doses of tuba powder suppressed nematode attacks significantly; a dose of 20 g produced the lowest intensity (10.00%) compared to the control (71.67%). This effectiveness is thought to be related to the rotenone which is antifeedant and neurotoxic, so tuba powder has the potential to be a sustainable and environmentally friendly control of NPA.
