Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui perbedaan rata-rata nilai pretest dan posttest sesudah dan sebelum penerapan model TGT berbantuan correct hanger terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa sekolah dasar. Model pembelajaran TGT dirancang untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa. Sementara, media correct hanger bertujuan agar peserta didik memahami konsep dengan baik. Pendekatan dari penelitian ini yakni kuantitatif dengan desain one grup pretest-posttes. Subjek penelitian ini yakni semua siswa kelas IV SD 3 Menawan dengan jumlah 19 siswa. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yakni observasi,wawancara, dan tes. Adapun teknik analisis pengumpulan data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji paired sample t-test. Penggunaan model pembelajaran TGT berbantuan correct hanger terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada uji paired sample T-test memperoleh nilai sig.(2-tailed) =

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis peningkatan pemahaman konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) pada materi sistem pernapasan melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran BREATHWISE berbasis Articulate Storyline untuk siswa kelas V MI Alfalah Tanjungrejo. Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan eksperimen the one group pretest posttest. Proses analisis data meliputi uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, Paired T-Test, serta perhitungan N-Gain untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman konsep. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman konsep siswa. Nilai rata-rata pretest tercatat 39,87 kemudian meningkat menjadi 74,25 pada posttest dengan rata-rata N-Gain 0,56 yang termasuk kategori sedang. Hasil uji Paired T-Test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000, lebih kecil dari 0,05. Hal ini mengindikasikan terdapat perbedaan bermakna antara nilai pretest dan posttest. Bukti empiris ini memperlihatkan efektivitas media pembelajaran BREATHWISE berbasis Articulate Storyline dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sistem pernapasan. Keberhasilan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif yang mengintegrasikan animasi, simulasi, dan evaluasi langsung secara efektif membantu siswa memahami konsep-konsep sistem pernapasan dengan lebih komprehensif.

Abstract

A learning process that is monotonous and always centered on the teacher can cause students' low understanding of concepts. This can be proven by the reality found at SD 4 Honggosoco. Based on the initial concept understanding test carried out by 20 class V students, it was found that all students' scores were still below the KKTP with an average class score of 20.05. The aim of this research is to find out whether the Discovery Learning model assisted by Mibolokus media has an effect on the results of students' understanding of concepts at SD 4 Honggosoco in science material. This research uses a quantitative type of research. The research design used was a pre-experiment design with one group pretest posttest type. The subjects of this research were all fifth-grade students at SD 4 Honggosoco with a sampling technique using nonprobability sampling, purposive sampling type. Data collection was carried out by interviews, observation, tests (pretest and posttest), and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are Normality Test, Paired Sample T-Test and N-Gain Test. The results of the Paired Sample T-Test show a significance of 0.000, which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Meanwhile, the N-Gain Test results were 75.4%, which means that increasing students' understanding of concepts can be categorized as quite effective. The conclusions from this research are: (1) There is a significant difference in the average score in the results of students' conceptual understanding before and after being treated in the form of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Mibolokus media. (2) there is an increase in the results of students' understanding of concepts using the Discovery Learning model assisted by Mibolokus media in the Class V Social Sciences Subject Chapter 1 Properties of Light and Sound.

Abstract

Understanding a concept is crucial in shaping students’ thinking, particularly in understanding the IPAS concept; therefore, innovative teaching methods are needed to encourage students’ active engagement and enhance their understanding. One such method is the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with the aid of the PRAYAKU media. This study aims to analyze the differences in students’ pretest and posttest average scores and to assess the improvement in students’ understanding of the IPAS concept. The method used in this study was a quantitative approach employing a pre-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The research instruments comprised observation sheets, interview sheets, and test sheets. Data analysis techniques in this study included a normality test, a paired-sample t-test, and an N-Gain test. The results showed that the pretest average score of 52 increased to 83 on the posttest, with a significance level (two-tailed) of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. The researcher also obtained an N-Gain Score of 0.6899, which falls into the “moderate” improvement category. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the average pretest and posttest scores for IPAS concept understanding, and that the students’ understanding of IPAS concepts has improved.

Abstract

The development of critical thinking skills is a fundamental goal of 21st-century elementary education, particularly in Integrated Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning. However, many elementary students still demonstrate low levels of critical thinking due to teacher-centered instructional practices that limit active problem solving. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by the GrowLearn application on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade elementary students. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The sample consisted of 64 fourth-grade students divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected through essay-based critical thinking tests administered as pretests and posttests, supported by classroom observations. Data analysis included normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the posttest mean score of the experimental class (89.71) was significantly higher than that of the control class (68.61), with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). The N-Gain analysis indicated a high category improvement in the experimental group, while the control group showed moderate improvement. These findings demonstrate that the implementation of PBL assisted by the GrowLearn application has a significant positive effect on students’ critical thinking skills. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of a digital learning application specifically designed to align with the syntax of Problem Based Learning, providing a more structured and contextual learning experience in IPAS instruction at the elementary level.

Abstract

IPAS instruction regarding the digestive system at SD Negeri 2 Garung Kidul is heavily dominated by verbal lectures and static media, resulting in low conceptual understanding with a pre-research average score of 46.04 and chronic biological misconceptions. This quantitative experimental study utilizing a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with interactive LANCER media on a saturated sample of 25 fifth-grade students. Data were gathered through a validated 14-item essay test, observation sheets, and interviews, and subsequently analyzed using a paired sample t-test and the N-gain formula. The results revealed a significant leap in the posttest average score to 82.60, achieving a 92% classical completeness rate. The paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of Sig. (2-tailed)= 0.000, indicating a highly distinct variance in conceptual mastery. The intervention's impact is substantially supported by a classical N-gain score of 0.68 (moderate category) alongside an effect size represented by an effectiveness percentage of 67.8%, positioning this combined approach within the quite effective range for quality improvement. These findings demonstrate that integrating LANCER media into Problem-Based Learning substantially enhances conceptual understanding by facilitating visual representation, active inquiry, and collaborative learning.

Abstract

Active learning with a scientific approach can make students' understanding of concepts less than optimal. To find out students' understanding of concepts, it is necessary to have encouragement from the teacher. The problem of this research is how to influence the application of environmental learning modules based on the local advantages of Jenang Kudus on natural science learning materials on changes in the state of matter. This study aims to determine the effect of environmental learning modules based on local advantages of Jenang Kudus on students' understanding of the concept of material changes in state of matter at SD 03 Karangmalang. Mobelik, namely teaching materials that are motivated by environmental conditions so that students are more familiar with and love the potential that exists around the environment where students live. This research will be conducted in class IV of Elementary School 3 Karangmalang with 28 students as research subjects. This type of research is a quantitative study using the pre-experimental design method, type one group pretest-posttest. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews, observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis used was descriptive and inferential statistical data analysis. This t-test uses pretest and posttest values where the results are sig (2-tailed) <0.05, that is 0.00 <0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted where there is a significant influence from the application of the Jenang Kudus Local Excellence-based Mobelik module on science learning material changes in substance form class IV. Based on the results of the N-Gain test, it proved that there was an increase when the Jenang Kudus local excellence-based mobile module was implemented. there was an increase after being given treatment using the mobile module based on the local advantages of Jenang Kudus.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi keterbatasan variasi metode dan media, sementara penelitian mengenai kombinasi Discovery Learning berbasis media animasi pada IPAS kelas V, khususnya materi perubahan kondisi bumi serta pengukuran hasil belajar kognitif dan keterampilan proses secara bersamaan, masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas model Discovery Learning berbasis media animasi terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas V SD 3 Prambatan Lor.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Pre-Eksperimental Design dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah kelas V yang berjumlah 15 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Teknik Tes dan Non-Tes. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji statistik deskriptif, uji paired sampel T-test dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata nilai dari 61,47 menjadi 86,80, dengan t hitung 8,024 > t tabel 2,145 dan p < 0,001, sedangkan N-Gain sebesar 0,6574 berkategori sedang. Uji statistic diperoleh hasil (1) terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest siswa. (2) terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar IPAS siswa dengan kriteria sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning berbasis media animasi efektif terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas V SD 3 Prambatan Lor.

Abstract

Implementation of PjBL will be more flexible and efficient if implemented online. Students develop ecological problem-solving projects around where students live and students can also report on the progress of their projects in their respective homes. Online learning is sought so that students can improve their skills to solve real problems in the surrounding environment. This type of research is classroom action research using the Kemmis and McTaggart model which consists of 3 cycles. This research was conducted at the Tadris IPA Study Program, IAIN Kudus for four months from February to June with the research subjects being 38 B class students. The data in this study were collected using observation guidelines for the implementation of learning and student’s problem-solving skills. The results of observations of problem-solving skills were 66.58% in cycle I, 80.72% in cycle II, and 92.44% in cycle III. This indicates an increase in problem-solving skills in students through the application of the PjBL online in ecological learning. In addition, student activity also increases in the application of this learning. The activeness of students in the first cycle was 48.63%, in the second cycle it was 77.53% and in the third cycle, it was 87.6%. In addition, 82% of students gave a positive response to learning for each question item. Enthusiastic students are actively involved in developing PjBL online in ecological learning to solve real environmental problems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cultural relevance of the Gusjigang-based Augmented Reality Science Learning Application for children with special needs. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, which aims to systematically describe facts, characteristics, and phenomena that occur in real and in-depth. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. Questionnaires were given to students to collect data on their responses to the application, while interviews were conducted with teachers to gain a more in-depth perspective on the use of the application in the learning process. The results of the study indicate that the assessment of the Gusjigang-based Augmented Reality Science Learning Application by students and teachers is positive. The Gusjigang-based Augmented Reality Science Learning Application is considered easy to use, interesting, and effective in helping students, especially children with special needs, understand science learning materials. Thus, this study concludes that the Gusjigang-based Augmented Reality Science Learning Application is a practical learning tool for children with special needs.
