Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran mediasi shopping motivation dalam hubungan antara mindset dan compulsive buying pada generasi milenial konsumen produk kosmetik di Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap 100 responden berusia 20–40 tahun yang aktif membeli produk kosmetik seperti Wardah, Somethic, dan Maybelline. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner daring dan dianalisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling berbasis Partial Least Squares (SmartPLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mindset berpengaruh positif terhadap shopping motivation, dan shopping motivation memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap compulsive buying. Selain itu, shopping motivation terbukti memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara mindset dan compulsive buying. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pola pikir konsumen, baik yang berorientasi pada pengembangan diri maupun pencitraan sosial, memengaruhi motivasi berbelanja yang pada akhirnya berdampak pada perilaku pembelian kompulsif. Secara praktis, hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar pelaku industri kosmetik merancang strategi pemasaran yang berfokus pada pengalaman belanja positif dan nilai pengembangan diri, bukan sekadar dorongan emosional sesaat, untuk menciptakan perilaku konsumsi yang lebih rasional dan berkelanjutan di kalangan milenial.Kata Kunci: Mindset, Shopping Motivation, Compulsive Buying, Milenial, Kosmetik

Abstract

Abstrak – Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas dan nilai tambah ekonomi petani jagung melalui sosialisasi inovasi produk olahan berbasis jagung di Desa Tarowang, Kabupaten Jeneponto. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 21 Juni 2025 secara terpadu di Balai Desa Tarowang, melibatkan 50 peserta yang terdiri atas petani, ibu rumah tangga, dan pemuda karang taruna. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup sosialisasi interaktif, demonstrasi pengolahan produk, dan diskusi partisipatif yang berfokus pada pemanfaatan seluruh bagian jagung, meliputi biji, rambut, dan tongkol, menjadi produk bernilai ekonomi seperti teh rambut jagung, sirup jagung, dan teh jagung panggang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran peserta terhadap diversifikasi produk olahan serta potensi pengembangan usaha mikro berbasis pertanian lokal. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap penguatan kapasitas masyarakat dalam pengolahan hasil pertanian secara berkelanjutan dan mendorong terciptanya model pemberdayaan desa berbasis agribisnis lokal. Rekomendasi tindak lanjut mencakup pelatihan lanjutan dan pendampingan kewirausahaan untuk memastikan keberlanjutan program di tingkat rumah tangga.Kata kunci: jagung, inovasi produk, sosialisasi, nilai tambah, pemberdayaan masyarakat

Abstract

This study aims to determine the internal and external constraints on silk artisans. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data, this data was obtained by researchers through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the electronic-based marketing strategy in building competitive advantages in small silk artisan businesses in Wajo Regency is by conducting a product marketing mix, determining the selling price of products based on the price of Production Operating Costs, a strategic and easily accessible business place, and promotions carried out, namely offline and online promotions. While the obstacles experienced by silk entrepreneurs in carrying out marketing strategies through Facebook social media are internal and external obstacles. The solution to overcome internal obstacles is to carry out an order system, self-taught learning through youtube media. for external obstacles is to provide affordable prices by using quality materials, be more creative and provide the best service, provide rich writing bounty marks on every picture posted, provide clear information, especially the prices offered.

Abstract

This study aims to assess and analyze whether the marketing strategy carried out by a Coffee Shop called Safehaus for approximately two years (2022-2023) can increase competitiveness. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The population in this study were the owner and all employees as many as 13 respondents using saturated sampling, which is a sampling technique when all members of the population are used as samples. Data collection techniques were carried out by conducting interviews and questionnaires. While the data analysis technique used is to use SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Oppotunities and Threats) and use the IFAS and EFAS tables. Based on the results of this study, it shows that Coffee Shop is in the first quadrant, namely supporting a growth strategy, this result is very beneficial for the company in increasing its competitiveness because it supports aggressive growth (growth oriented strategy). A business that is in the first quadrant condition is very profitable because it has strengths and can take advantage of opportunities well so that it can make it possible to expand, and achieve maximum progress.

Abstract

Service quality plays an important role in a company when competition in the business sector is very tight and continues to change. This study aims to examine the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction, service quality on customer loyalty, customer satisfaction on customer loyalty, and customer satisfaction in mediating the effect of service quality on customer loyalty atIndonesian Sharia Bank. The type of research used is quantitative research and the research design used is causal research design. The subjects in this study were customers atIndonesian Sharia Bankand the objects in this study are service quality, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty. Data was collected by document recording and questionnaire method, and analyzed byPLS with SmartPLS software. The results showed that service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, service quality has a negative and not significant effect on customer loyalty, customer satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, and customer satisfaction complete mediation of the influence of service quality on customer loyalty. It is hoped that the results of this research can help future research in paying attention to factors that can influence customer loyalty. It is also hoped that the results of this study will add new knowledge that will enrich marketing management theory and organizational behavior theory, especially those related to customer loyalty.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pengeluaran konsumsi masyarakat Indonesia, pola konsumsi berdasarkan tingkat pendapatan, serta dampaknya terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis literatur dari data sekunder, laporan ekonomi, dan penelitian terdahulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi rumah tangga memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap PDB Indonesia (>50%), dengan pendapatan, inflasi, dan kemudahan kredit sebagai faktor utama penentu konsumsi. Namun, tingginya konsumsi juga diiringi dengan peningkatan utang konsumtif dan kesenjangan akses digital. Rekomendasi kebijakan mencakup penguatan literasi keuangan, diversifikasi sumber pertumbuhan ekonomi, dan pemerataan akses digital

Abstract

Social media has become the main platform for university students to express themselves and build professional reputation. However, many students have not yet been able to utilize social media positively to support their academic and career growth. This community service aimed to strengthen students’ understanding and skills in developing personal branding through effective social media utilization. The program was implemented through workshops, discussions, and mentoring for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Makassar. Pre-test and post-test evaluations were conducted to assess participants’ knowledge improvement. The students’ average score increased, indicating significant improvement. Majority of participants began applying personal branding strategies on their social media accounts. The activity effectively enhanced students’ awareness and ability to build professional online identities.

Abstract

This research objective is to further evaluate how the presence of illegal parking attendants affects consumer behavior, particularly Generation Z, in deciding to visit and transact at MSMEs in Makassar City. This study aims to analyze Generation Z's perception of the presence of illegal parking attendants around micro-enterprises in Rappocini District, Makassar City, and its impact on consumer behavior. This research uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews of 15 Generation Z informants who are consumers of micro-enterprises in the area. The research findings indicate that the majority of informants feel uncomfortable with the presence of illegal parking attendants due to what they perceive as forced fees, a lack of vehicle security guaranties, and additional burdensome costs. This condition affects the shopping experience and makes some consumers reluctant to return to certain business locations. However, some informants stated that the presence of illegal parking attendants did not significantly influence their decisions due to factors such as location proximity, habit, and relatively affordable rates.

Abstract

The food and beverage (F&B) industry in Indonesia has experienced rapid growth in recent years, yet it faces serious environmental sustainability challenges due to the waste and emissions it generates. Green marketing has emerged as an environmentally oriented marketing strategy to respond to consumer demand for eco-friendly products, whereas greenwashing represents a manipulative practice in which companies make misleading environmental claims for image purposes only. This study is a narrative review of literature published between 2021 and 2024 on green marketing versus greenwashing, with a focus on the Indonesian F&B industry. The review indicates that many Indonesian F&B firms have begun to adopt green marketing initiatives—such as the use of sustainable raw materials and recycled packaging—to build long-term competitive advantage. However, greenwashing is also increasingly prevalent, contributing to consumer skepticism and eroding trust in brands. Indonesian consumers are becoming more aware of environmental claims and demand greater transparency, with studies reporting that roughly one quarter of consumers distrust eco-friendly claims made by food brands. Prior research further shows that greenwashing practices negatively affect purchase intention and brand image by increasing skepticism and stimulating negative word of mouth, thereby strengthening calls for stricter regulation. To achieve long-term success, F&B companies must prioritize authentic green marketing and transparency over greenwashing; genuine commitment to sustainability can enhance consumer trust and competitiveness, whereas false green claims risk damaging reputation and customer relationships.

Abstract

This study uses a quantitative research approach because it aims to measure the relationship between two variables, namely variable (X1) intensity of use, (X2) purpose of use and (Y) learning productivity. The population in this study were active students of Makassar State University and Hasanuddin University in the 2023-2024 academic year with a total population of 75554 and 100 samples. The data analysis method used in this study was validity and reliability testing. Followed by multiple correlation tests, hypotheses (t-test), and multiple linear regression. The results of the multiple correlation test showed that there was a significant relationship between variables (X1 and X2) to variable (Y) simultaneously as shown by the sig. F Change value of 0.011 <0.05. Furthermore, the hypothesis test (t-test) X1 has a sig value of 0.004 < 0.05 and X2 has a value of 0.013 < 0.05, both of which have an influence on variable Y. A linear regression test is used to determine the direction and magnitude of the influence of the independent variables (X1 and X2) on the dependent variable (Y), with X1 having a positive value of 0.379 and X2 having a negative value of -0.274.
