Abstract

In today’s highly connected and technology-driven environment, digital transformation has become a critical necessity for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance their competitiveness and long-term sustainability. One strategic approach to facilitate this transformation is through the design of an enterprise architecture tailored to the specific needs of MSMEs. This study aims to develop a structured and adaptive enterprise architecture model for MSMEs by applying the TOGAF ADM (Architecture Development Method) framework. The methodology consists of several key phases: Preliminary, Architecture Vision, Business Architecture, Information Systems Architecture, and Technology Architecture. Each phase provides a systematic approach to assess business requirements, align digital strategies with business goals, and build supporting technological infrastructure. The output of this research is a CompanySpecific Blueprint designed to reflect the actual conditions and operational needs of the targeted MSMEs. This blueprint serves as a comprehensive guide for MSMEs to plan, implement, and manage digital transformation initiatives effectively and progressively. By adopting the TOGAF ADM framework, this research contributes to the development of a responsive and sustainable enterprise architecture model, empowering MSMEs to navigate technological changes and improve their organizational performance. The proposed model is expected to support MSMEs in making informed decisions regarding digital investments, process optimization, and integration of digital tools that align with their strategic objectives.

Abstract

This study investigates whether the SERVQUAL dimensions—tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy—predict customer satisfaction in a courier and parcel-delivery (last-mile logistics) company. A cross-sectional survey of 100 customers selected via purposive sampling was administered using multi-item Likert scales. Data were analyzed with multiple regression to estimate the marginal contribution of each dimension and to assess the joint (simultaneous) effect on satisfaction. The findings show that all five dimensions are positively and significantly associated with customer satisfaction, and the model confirms a significant joint influence. Responsiveness and empathy emerge as the strongest predictors, whereas assurance exhibits the weakest effect, indicating room for improvement in perceived security, reliability of commitments, and service guarantees. Managerially, the company should sustain strengths related to empathy, tangibles, and responsiveness (e.g., attentive staff, clear physical cues of service quality, swift handling of requests) while prioritizing initiatives that bolster assurance—such as transparent service policies, consistent delivery promises, and credibility signals. The study adds firm-level evidence from the last-mile logistics sector, reinforcing the relevance of SERVQUAL for explaining satisfaction in time-sensitive, technology-enabled delivery contexts.

Abstract

Village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) are institutions established to manage economic potential and resources in the village to improve community welfare. In Kassi Village, Jeneponto Regency, BUMDes has significant potential in developing the agricultural sector, but this potential has not been fully utilized. This research aims to increase the added value of the agricultural sector through strengthening the capacity of BUMDes by utilizing digital technology. The application of e-commerce, digital marketing, and data management is expected to expand market access for local products and improve their competitiveness. The methods used include identification of training needs, ongoing mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation of the BUMDes digitalization process. The program results show an increase in operational efficiency and expansion of marketing networks, as well as an increase in the added value of agricultural and tourism products. Analysis shows that the training on sustainable agriculture and basic technology has had a significant impact on improving participants' knowledge and skills, as evidenced by the increase in average pretest to posttest scores. The high correlation between the initial and final scores indicates that the training was effective for all participants. This digital transformation through BUMDes has the potential to become a model for other villages in Indonesia, making digital economic empowerment a strategic solution to improve the welfare of rural communities in an inclusive and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social media usage on impulse purchases of viral skincare products and to examine the role of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) as a mediating variable among Generation Z in Makassar City. Specifically, this research investigates: (1) the effect of social media usage on impulse purchases, (2) the effect of social media usage on FOMO, (3) the effect of FOMO on impulse purchases, and (4) the mediating role of FOMO in the relationship between social media usage and impulse purchases. This study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design to explain causal relationships among the variables. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 180 Generation Z respondents in Makassar City who had purchased or were familiar with viral skincare products promoted through social media platforms. The data analysis technique used was Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The analysis included outer model testing to evaluate validity and reliability, as well as inner model testing to assess direct and indirect relationships using the bootstrapping method. The results show that all proposed hypotheses are supported. Social media usage has a positive and significant effect on impulse purchases and significantly increases FOMO. Furthermore, FOMO positively and significantly influences impulse purchases and partially mediates the relationship between social media usage and impulse purchases. These findings highlight the important role of emotional and psychological factors in shaping impulsive buying behavior among Generation Z.

Abstract

University students, as prospective graduates, play a critical role in generating new employment opportunities through entrepreneurship. This study investigates whether the academic environment and access to capital contribute to entrepreneurial interest among university students, with creativity acting as a mediating variable. A quantitative research design was employed, involving a sample of 100 students selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected via an online questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 27. The findings reveal that the academic environment has a positive and significant influence on both creativity and entrepreneurial interest. Access to capital positively affects creativity but has a negative and significant direct effect on entrepreneurial interest. Creativity, on the other hand, exerts a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. Moreover, the academic environment significantly contributes to entrepreneurial interest through creativity. Similarly, access to capital indirectly and positively influences entrepreneurial intention when mediated by creativity. These results suggest that fostering a supportive academic environment and enhancing student creativity can significantly boost entrepreneurial aspirations, even when direct financial access is limited or perceived negatively. The study highlights the strategic role of creativity in translating academic and financial inputs into entrepreneurial motivation within higher education contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of management accounting systems on the performance of culinary MSMEs and test the role of sustainability reporting as a moderation variable. The research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 100 culinary MSMEs operating in the central area of Makassar City. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). The results of the study show that the management accounting system does not have a significant effect on business performance. This indicates that most MSMEs still do not make optimal use of accounting information in decision-making. Meanwhile, sustainability reporting has been proven to have a positive and significant influence on business performance. However, sustainability reporting is not able to moderate the relationship between management accounting systems and business performance. These findings show that sustainability practices have a more direct role in improving the performance of MSMEs compared to management accounting systems that have not been implemented effectively. This research contributes to the development of management and sustainability accounting literature, as well as provides practical implications for MSME actors in improving business performance through the integration of information systems and sustainable business practices.
