Abstract

: Generation Z in the digital era has easy access to various investment instruments, but differences in financial literacy levels often affect the quality of their investment decisions. This study aims to examine the extent to which financial literacy influences investment decisions among Generation Z in Lau District, Maros Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method, in which 60 respondents were selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale, then analyzed through a series of statistical tests including validity, reliability, normality, heteroscedasticity, and simple linear regression. The results of the study show that financial literacy has a positive and significant influence on investment decisions, with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.991 and a determination coefficient (R²) of 0.983. This indicates that 98.3% of the variation in investment decisions can be explained by financial literacy. These findings confirm that the better an individual's level of financial literacy, the more rational and appropriate investment decisions they make. Practically, these results emphasize the importance of improving financial literacy among the younger generation to encourage intelligent, rational, and long-term goal-oriented investment behavior, especially in areas with varying levels of financial literacy, such as Lau District.

Abstract

The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into organizational systems has transformed workplace dynamics, employee responsibilities, and patterns of human labor. Although AI implementation improves operational efficiency and productivity, it also creates psychological and professional challenges for employees adapting to technological change. This study aims to explore the lived experiences, emotional responses, and adaptation strategies of employees in South Sulawesi companies undergoing AI-driven digital transformation. This research employed a qualitative phenomenological approach. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with 20 participants from the banking, manufacturing, retail, technology, and service sectors in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Participants were selected using purposive sampling based on direct exposure to AI systems and a minimum of 1.5 years of work experience. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns and meanings related to employee adaptation. The findings revealed six major themes: AI as a tool for improving efficiency and productivity, fear of job displacement and career uncertainty, the importance of continuous learning and digital skill development, the role of organizational support and leadership communication, the emergence of human–AI collaboration, and varied psychological responses to technological change. Employees who received organizational support and training demonstrated greater adaptability and confidence in responding to AI implementation. The study emphasizes the importance of human-centered change management strategies that prioritize psychological safety, transparent communication, and continuous digital training. This research contributes to the limited phenomenological literature on AI adaptation in Indonesia and provides practical implications for human resource management and organizational behavior in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment on organizational commitment, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable, among employees of the Soppeng Regency Environmental Service. This study used a quantitative method with an associative approach. The population in this study was all 43 employees of the Soppeng Regency Environmental Service, who also served as the sample using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and mediation tests (Sobel). The results indicate that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Employees who work in a comfortable, safe environment supported by harmonious working relationships tend to have higher work enthusiasm and loyalty to the organization. Furthermore, job satisfaction also has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, where employees who are satisfied with their jobs demonstrate greater loyalty, responsibility, and commitment to remaining with the organization. This study also found that job satisfaction significantly mediates the effect of the work environment on organizational commitment, thus serving as a partial mediator in this relationship. These findings confirm that improving the work environment not only directly impacts employee commitment but also indirectly through increased job satisfaction.
