Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance on the work motivation of members of the South Sulawesi Provincial DPRD. The research employs a quantitative method to analyze data and seeks to explain the reciprocal influence between the variables under investigation. The results indicate that work-life balance (X) has a positive and significant effect on work motivation (Y) among DPRD members in South Sulawesi. The research instruments used were declared valid and reliable, making them trustworthy for measuring both work-life balance and work motivation. The simple regression analysis shows that the higher the level of work-life balance, the higher the work motivation of DPRD members. This implies that when members are able to maintain a balance between their work responsibilities and personal life, they tend to feel more enthusiastic, focused, and responsible in carrying out their legislative duties. Conversely, disruptions in the balance between work and personal life tend to decrease work motivation. It is recommended that factors supporting the work-life balance of DPRD members be considered, such as implementing a more structured session schedule, providing sufficient rest periods, and supporting both physical and mental health. By maintaining this balance between personal and professional life, work motivation among DPRD members can be enhanced.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh keselamatan kerja dan kesehatan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja perawat RSUD Prof. Dr. H. M. Anwar Makkatutu Kabupaten Bantaeng. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih ditemukannya beberapa kejadian kecelakaan kerja pada perawat, yang mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja belum berjalan secara optimal. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi menimbulkan rasa tidak aman, menurunkan kenyamanan bekerja, serta berdampak pada tingkat kepuasan kerja perawat. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis peneitian asositif denga pendekatan kuantitatif. Responden penelitian adalah perawat RSUD Prof. Dr. H. M. Anwar Makkatutu Kabupaten Bantaeng. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan metode regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan program IBM SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keselamatan kerja dan kesehatan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja perawat, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Keselamatan kerja merupakan variabel yang memiliki pengaruh paling dominan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja yang baik sangat penting untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang aman dan nyaman sehingga mampu meningkatkan kepuasan kerja perawat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh beban kerja terhadap prestasi akademik dengan manajemen waktu sebagai variabel intervening pada mahasiswa yang bekerja sambil kuliah di Program Studi Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Negeri Makassar. Fenomena meningkatnya mahasiswa yang menjalani sebagai pekerja dan pelajar berpotensi menimbulkan tekanan waktu, kelelahan, serta penurunan fokus belajar yang dapat berdampak pada capaian akademik. Penelitian ini menerapkan metodologi kuantitatif yang berorientasi pendekatan survei bagi mahasiswa bekerja sambil kuliah, dengan teknik kolektif data berupa kuesioner. Temuan data dianalisa dengan mengaplikasikan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) berbasis Partial Least Squares (PLS) guna melakukan penguji pengaruh maupun tidak langsung dari setiap variabel nya. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan yakni tidak terdapat signifikansi pengaruh secara langsung dari beban kerja kepada prestasi akademik, namun memberikan signifikansi pengaruh untuk manajemen waktu. Selanjutnya, manajemen waktu terbukti memberikan signifikansi pengaruh positif untuk prestasi akademik termasuk berperan menjadi media hubungan beban kerja dengan prestasi akademik. Temuan penelitian menjelaskan bahwa kemampuan manajemen waktu merupakan faktor kunci dimana memungkinkan mahasiswa tetap mempertahankan prestasi akademik meskipun memiliki beban kerja, sehingga penguatan keterampilan manajemen waktu serta dukungan institusi pendidikan menjadi hal yang penting bagi mahasiswa yang bekerja sambil kuliah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and discipline on employee performance at the Daily Radar Makassar Office. The population in this study was the number of samples used as many as 40 people using random sampling theory. Data collection techniques used by using the method of description and distribution of questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear analysis using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS). The results of this study indicate that the two independent variables, namely motivation (X1) and work discipline (X2) have a partial relationship or influence and a simultaneous relationship or influence on the dependent variable, namely employee performance (Y).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh peran ganda dan beban kerja terhadap work life-balance dosen di Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Negeri Makassar. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel independen dan variabel dependen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh dosen di Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Negeri Makassar. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan probability sampling, sehingga setiap anggota populasi memiliki kesempatan yang sama untuk menjadi sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 133 responden yang merupakan dosen di Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Negeri Makassar. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda untuk menguji pengaruh peran ganda dan beban kerja terhadap work life-balance. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran ganda berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap work life-balance dosen. Sementara itu, beban kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap work life-balance. Namun, secara simultan peran ganda dan beban kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap work life-balance. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa tuntutan peran ganda menjadi faktor penting yang memengaruhi keseimbangan kehidupan kerja dosen.

Abstract

The management of used cooking oil remains a serious environmental issue, as it is classified as hazardous waste that can contaminate soil and water if disposed of improperly. On the other hand, used cooking oil holds high economic potential and can be utilized through the circular economy concept to create value-added products. This community service program aimed to enhance the awareness and skills of students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Makassar, in processing used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles as a form of green entrepreneurship. The training was conducted through socialization, education, demonstration, and hands-on practice using purified used cooking oil mixed with stearic acid and essential oils. Evaluation results showed that 85% of participants improved their understanding of waste management and candle-making techniques, while 72% expressed interest in developing this product as a sustainable business idea supported by digital marketing. This activity successfully integrated environmental education, entrepreneurial innovation, and student empowerment through the application of circular economy principles. Therefore, the program not only provided a solution to the waste oil problem but also fostered sustainable and socially responsible entrepreneurial mindsets among students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of career development on the job satisfaction of employees of PT. PLN (Persero) Distribution Main Unit and Load Control Center (UIP3B) SULAWESI. The research method uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observations, interviews, and questionnaires which were distributed to 70 respondents. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression with the help of SPSS software version 26. The results of the analysis show that career development has a positive and significant influence on employee job satisfaction. With a determination coefficient (R2) value of 2.8%, it identifies that 2.8% variation in job satisfaction is explained by career development implemented by the company. Meanwhile, the remaining 97.2% were influenced by other factors not studied in this study. These findings confirm that a planned and fair career development program can improve job satisfaction, thereby helping companies achieve better organizational performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of work environment and workload on employee productivity at the Salobulo Public Health Center, Sajoanging District, Wajo Regency. The background of this research is based on the importance of a quality work environment and effective workload management in supporting the effectiveness and efficiency of employee performance, particularly in the health service sector. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a descriptive associative approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and the distribution of questionnaires to 43 employees of the health center, selected using a saturated sampling technique. The results of the study indicate that, partially, the work environment has a positive and significant influence on employee productivity. This is demonstrated by the comfort of the workspace, harmonious relationships among colleagues, and support from superiors. Workload also affects employee productivity, as some employees experienced an imbalance in task distribution and fatigue due to additional responsibilities beyond their main duties. Simultaneously, the work environment and workload have a significant effect on employee productivity. Therefore, improving employee productivity requires better management of the work environment and a more proportional distribution of workload. This research is expected to serve as a reference for the health center in formulating policies related to human resource management and as a foundation for future researchers in developing studies related to factors that influence employee productivity in the health service sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze financial performance in terms of the soundness of the bank at the PT. Bank Sulselbar Makassar Main Branch using the CAMEL method. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study is the financial statements of PT Bank Sulselbar Makassar Main Branch from 2016-2021. While the sample in this study is the Financial Statements in the form of a Balance Sheet and Income Statement of PT. Bank Sulselbar Makassar Main Branch 2016 to 2021. Data analysis technique using the CAMEL method (Capital, Asset Quality, Management, Earning, Liquidity). The results showed that the calculation of the CAMEL ratio in 2016 was in the Healthy category and for 4 consecutive years in 2017 to 2020 it was in the  Fairly Healthy category and in 2021 there was an increase in the Healthy category. Thus it can be concluded that the financial performance of PT. Bank Sulselbar Makassar Main Branch in 2016 – 2021 using the CAMEL method is in the Pretty Healthy predicate for 4 consecutive years in the Fairly Healthy category.

Abstract

Korean culture is increasingly developing and attracting interest in various countries, including Indonesia. The spread of that culture is increasingly supported by the development of technology and information at this time. The Korean Wave has successfully introduced various aspects of its culture through music, drama, and film. There are many factors that can influence purchase intentions, one of which is interest in a particular culture. With the increasing interest in South Korean culture, it has become a new trend for companies in formulating their marketing strategies. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of the Korean Wave and Brand Ambassador on Purchase Intention through Brand Image. The sample used in this study consists of 120 cosmetic and skincare users in the city of Makassar. Data were processed using the Structural Equation Modeling method. (SEM). The results of this study indicate that (1) the Korean Wave has a direct influence on Purchase Intention, (2) the Brand Ambassador does not have a direct influence on Purchase Intention, (3) Brand Image mediates the relationship between the Korean Wave and Purchase Intention, (4) Brand Image mediates the relationship between the Korean Wave and Purchase Intention, (5) Brand Image cannot mediate the relationship between the Brand Ambassador and Purchase Intention.
