Abstract

Recently, there has been a growing global need for washing services worldwide. This surge has significantly influenced the growth of washing enterprises in all nations, including Indonesia. Nevertheless, this nation's expansion of the laundry sector has led to fierce rivalry. Many laundry businesses have failed to compete because they could not effectively implement efficient human resource management. This study aims to analyze the impact of efficiency management on employee satisfaction by identifying remedies to maintain the sustainability of the laundry sector. This study primarily examines the management of human resource efficiency, emphasizing four dimensions: leadership style, work environment, rewards, and work motivation. This study examines the role of employee performance accomplishment as a mediator. This study uses structural equation modeling (SEM) approaches to quantitatively test data from 135 respondents. The results of this study suggest that the leadership style, work environment, and rewards that align with employee preferences have a substantial impact on employee job satisfaction. It means that efficient human resource management that emphasizes these three dimensions is critical to the success of laundry businesses facing intense competition. Theoretically, this study has successfully addressed the gap in previous studies. Practically, this study can provide valuable information to practitioners in enhancing the competitive edge of their laundry business.

Abstract

Accumulatively, the amount of village funds budgeted to villages continues to increase from year to year. However, the fact is that there are still many villages that have not been able to utilize the presence of village funds optimally. Low community participation in managing village funds is one of the important factors hindering village development. This research has several objectives, namely first, to see what transparent and participatory village fund management looks like in Kerekeh village. Second, explore the local wisdom values of the Kerekeh village community. This research is qualitative descriptive research using a phenomenological approach. Research data was obtained from the results of in-depth interviews with research informants and direct observation at the research location. The data that has been obtained is then processed and analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that (1) The Kerekeh village government has attempted to provide opportunities for the community to participate in every village fund management process. The village government also provides access and opportunities for village communities to obtain information related to village fund management by providing information channels containing various village activities and programs funded using village funds, such as websites and village information boards. (2) There are traditions that are still maintained and held firmly by the Kerekeh village community, such as tokal-adat, laong-pantar and basiru which require local wisdom values such as a sense of family, honesty, trust and a spirit of togetherness.

Abstract

Banking is one of the most important sectors supporting a country"™s economy. In Indonesia, the development of banking has undergone significant changes, as evidenced by the shift from the conventional system to the dual banking and Sharia systems. The large number of commercial banks and bank offices suggests high competition in Indonesia. Consequently, banks must reduce costs and streamline their operational activities to remain competitive. This study aims to analyze the relationship between bank competition and financial stability in Indonesia for both conventional and Islamic banks, using the generalized method of moments. The results show a positive relationship between the level of banking industry competition and banking stability, indicating that an increase in bank competition will result in greater stability. These findings suggest that Islamic banking has the potential to expand its market share by improving its soundness and retaining customer loyalty. In addition, banking authorities should reevaluate their performance and regulations.JEL: G21, G32, L10.

Abstract

Sumberarum Village is one of the villages in Bojonegoro Regency that has developed tourism potential. There are several tourism potentials in Sumberarum Village, namely Sendang Tirta Arum, Guo Lowo and Guo Lawang. However, Sendang Tirta Arum tourism has not been managed well, even though it should be able to have a positive impact on the attractiveness of tourist attractions which ultimately provides welfare for the community. To make this happen, it is necessary to identify the existing ecological, economic, social, and institutional aspects to determine the aspects that require improvement and development. This research aims to find a tourism strategy for Sendang Tirta Arum. The method used is Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) analysis. The resulting index value shows that each dimension analyzed sequentially has a diverse status, namely the ecological, social and institutional dimensions which are very sustainable and the economic dimension which is quite sustainable. The sensitive attributes that most influence sustainability and need to be considered are waste management facilities, business capital assistance, contribution to Original Local Government Revenue, conflicts between government and citizens, the role of private institutions, transportation facilities and infrastructure and the role of environmentally conscious groups.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional deficiency that impedes growth and affects the development of body and brain cells. Addressing stunting requires multisectoral collaboration to reduce and prevent stunting among children under 5 years old, the critical "Golden Age" period. Malang City's stunting rate was 18% in 2022, 16% in 2023, with a 2024 target of 14%. Achieving zero stunting involves a multidisciplinary approach, considering environmental, social, and economic factors within a sustainable development framework. This study examines the roles of the community, stakeholders, and government in stunting management. A quantitative approach using explanatory research was conducted on pre-school children in Karangbesuki Village, with a sample of 112 families at risk of stunting from a population of 584. Data was collected through offline questionnaires, and analysis was performed using SEM-PLS software. The study found that environmental sanitation had no significant direct effect on stunting management but positively influenced women's intervention and food security. Both women's intervention and food security significantly impacted stunting management. Furthermore, women's intervention and food security played a perfect mediating role in the relationship between environmental sanitation and stunting management. Future research should consider expanding the sample size and exploring additional independent variables beyond the current framework.
