Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has seriously impacted the socioeconomic sector, including affecting the unemployment rate. This study evaluated the effectiveness of the government's social policies in responding to the economic crisis due to the pandemic and evaluated the traditions of citizenship and the welfare regime that existed in Indonesia during the crisis, especially to see the position of social policy during a crisis in Indonesia, which is rarely discussed. The data was collected using the questionnaire on unemployment in several big cities with a random sampling technique, and hypotheses were tested using the Structural equation modeling (SEM) method with LISREL 9.30 software to analyze the correlation between the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on unemployment among individuals, communities, voluntary organizations, and the government. This study showed that citizenship traditions and welfare regimes are not necessarily associated with social policy performance; people tend to rely more on themselves and the surrounding community to overcome their financial problems than the government. This is closely related to the level of public trust in the government's ability to solve public problems. Furthermore, the performance of existing social policies is quite effective in the short term in overcoming the issue of unemployment.

Abstract

Islam strictly speaking does not have rules that determine the age limit for marriage, based on Islamic law basically all age levels can enter into marriage. In Islam, the conditions for marriage are 'aqil and puberty which do not look at age limits. The method used is library research, namely by reading and studying books and writings that are related to the object of discussion, namely early marriage according to Islamic law and statutory regulations in Indonesia. The results of this research include: Ulama have different opinions regarding the age of marriage, including: Most Maliki madzhab ulama are of the opinion that the age limit for menstruation for women and men is 17 years or 18 years. Abu Hanifah believes that the age of puberty is 19 years or 18 years for men and 17 years for women. Imam Syafi'i, Ahmad, Ibnu Wahab and Jumhur are of the opinion that this is at the perfect age of 15 years. According to Marriage Law no. 1/1974 as a positive law in force in Indonesia, sets the age limit for marriage at 19 years for men and 19 years for women. In article 6 paragraph (2), it is stated that a person is said to be an adult if they reach the age of 21 years, so that in carrying out a marriage there is no need to obtain permission from both parents. The problem of early marriage in Indonesia according to Islamic law and Law no. 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage is based on the interests of children's rights, so that children can spend their time playing and studying. Apart from that, it is also necessary to pay attention to the impacts caused by early marriage, because they are not mature in thinking and resolving problems in marriage. So the goal of a mawwadah and rahmah marriage is not achieved optimally.

Abstract

Social piety is a collective responsibility, where we all play a role in fostering goodness both for ourselves and our surroundings. Individual piety is often referred to as habluminallah, while social piety is known as habluminannas. Piety is usually associated with religion, namely people who are devout in practicing religious teachings. One highly recommended good deed in Islam is giving alms, especially during the month of Ramadan, in addition to observing the fast. Muslims are encouraged to increase their good deeds, such as giving alms, during this holy month. Responsibility is inherent, meaning it is a natural part of human life; everyone inevitably has responsibilities. If someone neglects their responsibilities, others will compel them to fulfill them. Therefore, responsibility can be viewed from two sides: the side of the doer and the side of the interest of others. This article aims to strengthen social piety in the community, particularly through giving alms during Ramadan. The method used is a literature review. In conclusion, social piety can be naturally achieved in conjunction with the performance of maghdhah and ammah worship, as these acts of worship encompass all aspects of human behavior.

Abstract

The advantages of tourism potential in the Lampung Region include the natural beauty of the land and sea, which is surrounded by green hills and mountains overgrown with various species of flowers and trees. Cultural diversity and local wisdom also look unique and interesting. One of the interesting areas to be researched is Sebesi Island, South Lampung Regency, which is located between the islands of Java and Sumatra, so it becomes a strategic area for development. This study aims to determine the strategy for developing community-based ecotourism in Sebesi Island, South Lampung. The object of this research is Tejang village, which has four sub-villages, namely Bangunan, Inpres, Segenom, and Regahan Lada. Before conducting the research, the researcher assessed the tourism component of Sebesi Island with 4A, attractions, facilities, accessibilities, and ancillary services. The theory used for ecotourism research is the theory of Cobbinah, namely the principle of tourism, the principle of nature conservation, the principle of preservation and cultural preservation, the principle of economics, and the principle of community participation. This research used mixed methods with a dominant use of qualitative analysis. It is supported by quantitative analysis as a reinforcement for supply aspects of analysis and SWOT analysis, or sequential exploratory design. The sample of this research uses purposive sampling of parties related to the development process. While determining the strategy for developing ecotourism on Sebesi Island, some data analysis is needed, including supply and demand analysis to determine the value of development feasibility and SWOT analysis to determine the right development strategy. The determination of the SWOT variable consisting of internal and external factors then provides an assessment of each element that is considered to influence the development of ecotourism on Sebesi Island. The next step is to determine the position of alternative strategies from the SWOT analysis consisting of strengths – opportunities (SO) and strengths – threats (ST), weakness - opportunities (WO) and weakness - threats (WT), and the last step is to create an 8 Quadrant SWOT matrix to determine what strategy to implement. The results of this study indicate that the Rapid Growth Strategy can be used. The strategy is to take advantage of various opportunities for the development of Sebesi Island as an ecotourism area in a responsible manner while maintaining its function by improving visitor services based on Standard Operational Procedures and collaborating with related parties in preparing ecotourism activities. It is to increase tourist interest and the income of local residents.  Keywords: Ecotourism, Community, Development Strategy, Sebesi Island, SWOT

Abstract

This study aims to identify epistemological, ontogenic, and didactic barriers to Islamic Religious Education learning in public higher education. A qualitative approach with a case study design was used to collect data through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that students' difficulties connecting Islamic teachings with modern sciences, such as economics and technology, arise from epistemological barriers. As many as 75% of students complained about the lack of relevance of Islamic Religious Education materials to their fields of study. Ontogenic barriers are related to students' mental unpreparedness, including anxiety, lack of self-confidence, and inability to participate actively in learning. Unstable psychological conditions, such as stress and time management disorders, exacerbate this problem. On the other hand, didactic barriers were identified in using one-way lecture teaching methods that reduce student engagement and the lack of variation in learning strategies that connect theory to contemporary issues. This study suggests improvements in teaching methods, emphasizing interactive and problem-based approaches and increasing student involvement in discussions to deepen a comprehensive understanding of religion. In addition, strengthening practical learning, such as teaching Tajweed and applying religious teachings in a modern context, is expected to overcome these barriers
