Abstract

Rubber is a cultivated plant that plays an important role in economic activities in Indonesia, which is a source of national income besides oil and gas. Most of the semi-finished natural rubber production in Indonesia is crumb rubber, especially crumb rubber with the SIR 20 standard. Best Management Practice is a standard method or reference in increasing the yield and quality of production of a commodity which also increases product marketing and income of companies or plantations that implement it. The purposes of this research were to: (1) analyze the marketing results before and after the implementation of BMP in PT. Remco Rubber Indonesia and (2) analyzing the crumb rubber marketing strategy implemented by PT. Remco Rubber Indonesia. The research method used is paired t-test analysis and 4P marketing mix strategy analysis. The results of the t-test using SPSS 26 showed that the marketing of crumb rubber at PT. Remco experienced a significant increase after the application of BMP in the crumb rubber processing. For the marketing mix strategy implemented at PT. Remco has been well implemented. This means that the application of BMP in crumb rubber processing has a significant relationship in implementing marketing strategies in increasing marketing.

Abstract

Hydroponic Nutrition Garden at Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School Depok is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of Kimia Farma that utilizes the potential of Islamic boarding schools to support the development of economic independence at Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School Depok. The demand for hydroponic vegetables in this nutrition garden continues to increase, but the amount of production has not met this demand, therefore it needs development. The purpose of this research is to see the feasibility of the company after development. The method used in this research is to look at financial and non-financial aspects. The results of the analysis on non-financial aspects state that the development of a hydroponic vegetable business is feasible based on market, technical, management, legal, social, economic, cultural, and environmental aspects. Results of financial aspect analysis based on NPV with a value of Rp. 140,052,675 and Rp. 205,508,544, IRR with a value of 57% and 68%, Net B/C with a value of 6.43 and 6.96, Payback Period with a period of 1 year 8 months and 1 year 6 months, and Incremental Net Benefit with a value of Rp. 65,455,869 show that the business is feasible to run either without or with development.

Abstract

Cashew nuts (Anacardium occidentale) are a leading plantation commodity with high economic value, essential for the development of the agricultural industry. Despite their significant potential as an export commodity, the export value of Indonesian cashew nuts has tended to decline during the period from 2013 to 2022. The aim of this study is to measure the competitiveness and development position of Indonesian cashew nuts from 2013 to 2022 in export destination countries. The data used in this research are secondary data in the form of time series data. The time series data includes annual data over 10 years (2013-2022) with export destination countries being Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Japan, and China. The methods used in this study are the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Export Product Dynamics (EPD), and X-Model Potential Export Product methods. The results of the study show the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Export Product Dynamics (EPD) values of Indonesian cashew nuts for the period 2013-2022 in the Vietnamese market with an RCA of 4.47 and a Lost Opportunity market position, India at 0.88 with a Retreat status, Singapore at 0.019 with a Falling Star status, Malaysia at 0.43 with a Lost Opportunity status, Sri Lanka at 21.55 with a Falling Star status, Japan at 7.36 with a Falling Star status, and China at 0.21 with a Rising Star market position. Meanwhile, the X-Model analysis shows that the market potential in Vietnam, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Japan, and Malaysia is classified as potential markets, the market potential in China is classified as an optimistic market, and the market potential in India is classified as a less potential market. As an export commodity, cashew nuts require proper handling and special attention. To ensure the quality, selling value, and strong competitiveness of cashew nuts, the government must continuously strive to enhance the selling value of cashew nuts through plantation development, garden and plant maintenance, and processing improvements.

Abstract

Cold storage yang dibangun Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP) di berbagai daerah sebagai salah satu implementasi kebijakan Sistem Logistik Ikan Nasional (SLIN) yang bertujuan untuk menjaga ketersediaan ikan untuk bahan baku industri dan konsumsi dalam negeri. Cold storage 1.000 ton didirikan untuk menjadi role model sarana buffer stock milik pemerintah di Wilayah Jakarta namun dalam implementasinya masih mengalami kendala karena pemanfaatannya belum optimal dan belum menarik minat pelaku perikanan dalam cakupan yang lebih luas. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengkaji sistem kelembagaan yang diterapkan dalam pengelolaan cold storage 1.000 ton dari perspektif bisnis. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kasus di cold storage pemerintah yaitu cold storage berkapasitas 1.000 ton yang terletak di Muara Baru, Jakarta Utara. Analisis kelembagaan pengelolaan cold storage dilakukan secara kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan teori Ekonomi Kelembagaan Baru. Output analisis yang diharapkan berupa penilaian terhadap kelembagaan yang berjalan apakah telah sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip ekonomi kelembagaan baru dan teori yang mendukung lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelembagaan cold storage 1.000 ton masih membutuhkan peningkatan pengelolaan. Aspek yang paling berkontribusi terhadap kurangnya kinerja bisnis di cold storage tersebut adalah property right dan flexibility and adaptability. Implikasi yang dapat diberikan adalah perbaikan kelembagaan melalui 1) pengembangan model bisnis yang lebih customize dengan kebutuhan pengguna, 2) pembentukan badan atau lembaga yang lebih otoritatif dalam layanan publik, 3) penyelarasan insentif dan membangun kerja sama dengan cakupan pengguna yang lebih luas, 4) penerapan standar prosedur yang diimbangi komitmen kepatuhan dari stakeholders dan kontrol yang kuat, 5) peningkatan kecepatan dan fleksibilitas layanan serta 6) penetapan harga yang kompetitif.

Abstract

A survey conducted in 2024 showed that coffee consumption reached more than 300 thousand tons with the majority of consumers coming from the younger generation. One of those who took advantage of these opportunities and chances was Kopicentrum in Dramaga Bogor. However, until now the absence of a comprehensive strategic guide has become one of the obstacles in winning market competition. This study aims to overcome the chalenges that occur by identifying internal and external factors and exploring alternative business strategies through IE matrix analysis. This research is a case study research at Kopicentrum Dramaga Bogor with data collection through interviews, observations, and questionnaires to management, employees, and customers, which are analyzed using the IFE, EFE, and IE Matrices. The results of the study indicate that Kopicentrum has high internal strength (IFE score 3.68) and moderate external responsiveness (EFE score 2.90), pacing it in Quadrant IV in the IE Matrix with the right strategy in the form of Grow and Build, including maintaining market position, product enhancement, internal efficiency, and strategic alliances with local farmers. This study has implications for the importance of flexibe and context-based strategies, art, and needs to be adjusted to the unique conditions of each business to maintain competitiveness in a dynamic market.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Cayenne pepper, a national strategic horticultural commodity, has yet to reach its production potential, partly due to global climate change affecting agricultural yields. This study evaluates the sustainability of small-scale cayenne pepper farming at four Islamic boarding schools in Bogor Regency, part of the 'Juara Ekspor' partnership program involving cross-sector collaboration. Using FAO's SAFA framework, the research assesses four sustainability dimensions: governance, environment, economy, and social. The study was conducted at Islamic Boarding School (pesantren) namely Darul Fallah, Al-Wafa, Modern Sahid, and Nurul Iman, involving 12 purposively selected respondents comprising farmers and production assistants. The SAFA Tool 2.4.1 processed questionnaire data to evaluate sustainability. Results indicate good sustainability practices overall, particularly in economic resilience and social welfare. Strong performance was also noted in governance (ethics, participation, law enforcement), environment (water, biodiversity, energy), economy (investment, vulnerability, product quality), and social themes (livelihoods and labor rights). Penelitian ini mengevaluasi keberlanjutan pertanian cabai rawit skala kecil di empat pondok pesantren di Kabupaten Bogor, yang merupakan bagian dari program kemitraan 'Juara Ekspor' yang melibatkan kolaborasi lintas sektor. Dengan menggunakan kerangka kerja SAFA FAO, penelitian ini menilai empat dimensi keberlanjutan: tata kelola, lingkungan, ekonomi, dan sosial. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pesantren Darul Fallah, Al-Wafa, Modern Sahid, dan Nurul Iman, dengan melibatkan 12 responden yang dipilih secara purposif yang terdiri dari petani dan asisten produksi. SAFA Tool 2.4.1 mengolah data kuesioner untuk mengevaluasi keberlanjutan. Hasilnya menunjukkan praktik keberlanjutan yang baik secara keseluruhan, terutama dalam hal ketahanan ekonomi dan kesejahteraan sosial. Kinerja yang baik juga terlihat dalam tata kelola (etika, partisipasi, penegakan hukum), lingkungan (air, keanekaragaman hayati, energi), ekonomi (investasi, kerentanan, kualitas produk), dan sosial (mata pencaharian dan hak-hak pekerja).
