Abstract

Teacher creativity is essential for fostering engaging and effective learning environments. However, many teachers face challenges in developing creativity due to limited leadership support, lack of empowerment, and insufficient work motivation. This study investigates how service leadership, empowerment, and work motivation contribute to improving teacher creativity in kindergarten-level education in Sukaraja District, Sukabumi Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach using path analysis and the SITOREM method. The population comprised 152 kindergarten teachers, of which 111 were selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire measuring four variables: service leadership, empowerment, work motivation, and teacher creativity. Data were analyzed to determine both direct and indirect effects among the variables. Findings show that service leadership (β = 0.302), empowerment (β = 0.239), and work motivation (β = 0.194) have significant direct positive effects on teacher creativity. Service leadership (β = 0.234) and empowerment (β = 0.302) also positively affect work motivation. However, indirect effects of leadership and empowerment on creativity through motivation were statistically insignificant based on the Sobel test (p 0.05). The results indicate that improving teacher creativity requires strengthening leadership practices, providing empowering environments, and enhancing intrinsic motivation. While motivation serves as a contributing factor, it does not mediate the relationship significantly. Future research should explore other mediators or moderators that may better explain this linkage.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Program (P5) in achieving the objectives of the Merdeka Curriculum in the Pelabuhanratu Region, focusing on character development and student potential. A misalignment between the curriculum goals and schools’ vision emphasizing academic achievement was identified as a critical issue. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and field observations. Informants included school principals, deputy principals, teachers, students, parents, and school supervisors. Data were scored on a scale of 1–5 to assess various program components. The context component scored well (4.0), indicating alignment with policy, goals, and objectives. Input evaluation revealed strengths in resources (4.1) but weaknesses in budgeting (1.8), cooperation (1.7), and organizational structure (2.5). Process evaluation highlighted adequate planning (3.3) and reporting (3.4) but identified deficiencies in implementation (2.9), supervision (2.1), and follow-up (2.2). Product evaluation rated outcomes as good (3.2), with a high impact score (3.9), though benefits require improvement (2.7). Among 150 students, high achievements were observed in Creativity (85%) and Faith (77%) but lower in Critical Thinking (51%) and Independence (61%). The findings highlight critical gaps in resource allocation, supervision, and program benefits. Recommendations are provided to address these challenges and enhance program alignment with the Merdeka Curriculum. This study provides insights into P5 implementation challenges and offers pathways for program improvement to better align with curriculum goals.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of group cohesion, stress management, self-awareness, and creativity on the work effectiveness of elementary school teachers in Tasikmalaya Regency. Employing an exploratory sequential mixed-methods design, the research integrates qualitative and quantitative approaches. The qualitative phase involved in-depth interviews and observations, while the quantitative phase collected data from 163 proportionally randomized ASN (Aparatur Sipil Negara) teachers through structured questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), complemented by the System Improvement Through Organizational Renewal and Empowerment (SITOREM) method to prioritize development indicators. The findings reveal that group cohesion, stress management, and self-awareness significantly and positively influence teacher creativity, which in turn mediates their impact on work effectiveness. Among the variables, self-awareness emerges as the strongest direct predictor of work effectiveness, whereas group cohesion exerts the most substantial influence on enhancing creativity. Creativity serves as a crucial mediating factor, bridging psychosocial factors and overall teacher performance. These results underscore the importance of fostering a collaborative work culture, implementing effective stress management initiatives, promoting self-reflective practices, and cultivating creative pedagogical approaches. This research contributes to the body of knowledge on teacher development by integrating psychosocial and professional dimensions into a comprehensive framework. The study offers valuable insights for policymakers and school leaders in advancing educational transformation in alignment with the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045.
