Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of the School Literacy Program based on the stages of adaptation, development, and learning through the classroom reading corner and the supporting and inhibiting factors for the classroom reading corner utilization in the implementation of the School Literacy Program at Inpres Tombolo Elementary School. The research is qualitative research. The research was conducted at Inpres Tombolo Elementary School in Tombolopao Gowa. There were 12 informants in this research, which consist of the principal, 5 classroom teachers, 1 librarian, and 5 student trustees as representatives of each grade level. Data were collected through direct observation in the Education Unit, in-depth interviews with informants and documentation, and administrative completeness of the implementation of the School Literacy Program. The results indicate that the School Literacy Program at Inpres Tombolo Elementary School had been implemented well starting from the stages of adaptation, development, and learning by utilizing the classroom reading corner. In general, two reading strategies are applied in this research, namely silent and loud. The implementation of the School Literacy Program runs consistently in several classes during the learning from home because of the Covid-19 pandemic by utilizing digital platforms. Sources of reading materials only use the classroom reading corner and school library in the implementation of the School Literacy Program. Supporting factor of School Literacy Program implementation is frequently seen in the supporting facilities and infrastructure and variative reading materials. Conversely, the inhibiting factor can be overcome by various tricks as seen in the Principal’s Policy.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an interactive learning media based on the Canva Magic application  to improve the short story writing skills of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Barombong. The media development process follows the 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) model, starting with an analysis of the needs of students and teachers that shows students' tendency towards visual and interactive learning media. This media is designed to present short story writing material in an interesting and easy-to-understand way. The research methods used in this study are research and development or Research and Development (R&D) with descriptive quantitative analysis methods, data collection techniques include media validation questionnaires, practical observations, and short story writing skills tests before (pretest) and after the use of media (posttest). This media prototype is designed with excellent features such as storyline templates, character illustrations, and interactive and visual step-by-step guides. The results of expert validation show a very high level of validity in the material and media aspects. The practicality test showed that the score increased from 0.73 (practical) to 0.97 (very practical). The results of the effectiveness test showed a significant increase in the short story writing skill score, with  an average pretest score  of 65 and the posttest increased to 90-98. So, it can be concluded that Canva Magic learning media  with  the AI-based Magic Write feature  is effective and practical to improve short story writing skills in a creative, systematic, and meaningful way for students.

Abstract

Perkembangan industri perbankan syariah di Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan yang cukup pesat, namun masih menghadapi tantangan dalam menjangkau segmen generasi muda, khususnya generasi Z yang memiliki preferensi unik dalam memilih layanan keuangan. Di tengah era digital dan persaingan antar lembaga keuangan, strategi branding menjadi salah satu elemen kunci untuk membentuk persepsi positif dan memperkuat loyalitas nasabah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh branding terhadap minat nasabah, pengaruh branding terhadap citra bank syariah, pengaruh citra bank syariah terhadap minat nasabah, serta peran citra bank syariah sebagai variabel mediasi dalam konteks generasi Z di Kabupaten Purwakarta. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh pentingnya strategi branding dalam membentuk persepsi positif terhadap bank syariah dan mendorong intensi generasi muda untuk menjadi nasabah. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling, melibatkan 117 responden dari kalangan generasi Z yang memiliki akun media sosial dan pernah berinteraksi dengan layanan bank syariah. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa branding memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap minat nasabah dan citra bank syariah, sementara citra bank syariah juga berpengaruh langsung terhadap minat nasabah serta terbukti mampu memediasi hubungan antara branding dan minat nasabah. Implikasi dari temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya bagi bank syariah untuk merancang strategi branding yang konsisten, sejalan dengan nilai-nilai syariah, serta relevan dan adaptif terhadap karakteristik generasi Z guna meningkatkan minat dan memperkuat daya saing bank syariah di kalangan generasi muda.

Abstract

This article examines the meaning of the term i’tizāl in QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 222 using the analysis of ma’na cum maghza. In this verse, the word i’tizāl is juxtaposed with the word al-maḥīḍ, indicating the command for husbands to abstain from approaching their wives during menstruation. This research involves literature review. The ma’na cum maghza analysis is employed to explore the historical meaning (al-ma’nā at-tārikhī), the historical context (al-maghzā al-tārikhī), and its contextualization into a dynamic meaning (al-maghzā al-mutaḥarrik). The findings indicate that, from a historical perspective, the verse commands avoidance of the menstruation site (al-maḥiḍ), emphasizing abstaining from sexual relations during menstruation rather than avoiding the menstruating wife (al-hāid), as practiced in ancient traditions. The command to abstain (fa’tazilū) is rooted in the inherent pain (adha) of menstruation for women. Historically, the verse signifies (1) the high status of women, (2) the need for protection against physical and mental illnesses, and (3) the importance for spouses to responsibly control reproductive organs for both health and religious reasons. From a dynamic perspective, the verse highlights the significance of reproductive health, crucial for human survival and lineage preservation (hifz al-nasl). Therefore, in other situations such as when a woman experiences abnormal bleeding (istiḥāḍah) or when the husband faces reproductive disorders and sexually transmitted diseases, the command to abstain from intercourse applies, considering its potential negative impacts.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan penyakit tidak menular yang banyak dijumpai di Indonesia maupun dunia. Hipertensi adalah suatu kondisi yang ditandai dengan peningkatan tekanan darah yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan pola makan dengan kejadian hipertensi pada lansia di Puskesmas Pakuhaji. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional, dengan teknik purposive sampling, jumlah sampel sebanyak 87 responden. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi-square dengan hasil p-value 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan pola makan dengan kejadian hipertensi.

Abstract

General Background: Literacy skills are crucial for primary education as they support student comprehension across subjects. Specific Background: However, the reading ability of Indonesian students remains below international averages, highlighting the need for effective instructional strategies. Knowledge Gap: Prior studies often focus on a single cooperative model without comparing their influence on reading motivation. Aims: This study compares the Think Pair Share (TPS) and Team Games Tournament (TGT) models in fostering reading interest among grade V students in Makassar. Results: Using a quasi-experimental design with 70 students, results showed a significant increase in reading interest in both groups, with TPS achieving a higher mean post-test score (82.57) than TGT (72.29). Novelty: The research simultaneously examines two cooperative learning models, emphasizing reading interest rather than only cognitive outcomes. Implications: TPS is recommended for deep comprehension and sustained reading motivation, while TGT is more suitable for creating a competitive and engaging classroom climate. Teachers may combine both approaches to balance comprehension and motivation. Highlight TPS produces higher reading interest gains than TGT. TGT is effective for engagement through competition. Abstract

Reading is a very important factor in the world of literacy because the benefits are very large. Thus, reading is one of the benchmarks for a person's level of intelligence. Likewise, the influence of reading on the appreciation of literary works, in this case, short stories. This study aims to determine the correlation between reading comprehension and appreciation of short stories for fifth-grade students at SDN Antapia, Wakatobi Regency. This research is a correlational study. The research sample amounted to 10 people with the saturated sampling method. Data collection techniques using test instruments. The data analysis technique used is statistical-descriptive analysis. The results obtained from the research have a correlation coefficient rcount of 0.931, which is greater than 0.05. That is, there is a positive relationship or correlation between the variable reading comprehension and the variable appreciating short stories in fifth-grade students of SDN Antapia, Wakatobi Regency and the degree of correlation between variables is very large. Thus, it can be concluded that the higher the student's ability to read, the higher the level of appreciation of short stories.

Abstract

Agus Mustofa is a controversial figure because his thoughts are considered deviant. Even so, he remains productive in writing and interpreting verses from the Al-Qur'an on his YouTube channel, which has hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Agus Mustofa's academic background is nuclear engineering, not Qur'ānic exegesis. This study examines the sources, methods, validity, and implications of Agus Mustofa's interpretations. It employs interpretive epistemological theory and mass communication theory to accomplish these objectives. Data is collected from a Agus Mustofa's YouTube channel, Sufistic Islamic Studies. The results show that first, the sources used by Agus Mustofa are tafsir bil ma'tsur and tafsir bil ra'yi. Second, the method used is mauḍūʿī with a scientific approach. Third, the validity of the data obtained through coherence is inconsistent using interpretive sources, whereas correspondence and pragmatism are new in the world of interpretation. Fourth, Agus Mustofa's interpretation provides positive cognitive, affective, and behavioral impacts on society.

Abstract

Rendahnya penguasaan bacaan shalat  terjadi karena kurangnya pembiasaan dalam menyimak. Menyimak merupakan prasyarat mutlak untuk seseorang menguasai informasi, semakin banyak seseorang menyimak, maka akan semakin banyak pula pengetahuan yang dikuasai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menghafal bacaan shalat siswa melalui penerapan Metode Simak Ulang Ucap pada mata Pelajaran PAI. Jenis penelitian tindakan kelas menggunakan model penelitian Kemmis dan Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, tes lisan, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menerapkan dua siklus yang diterapkan pada 24 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan menghafal siswa kelas III di SDN 20 Limboto melalui metode simak ulang ucap. Dari kondisi Pra Siklus kemampuan menghafal siswa tergolong sangat rendah dengan nilai rata-rata 34,77 yang berada pada kategori “Belum Berkembang”, serta  belum adanya siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan. Pada siklus I rata-rata nilai yang diperoleh siswa meningkat 64,24 yang tergolong pada spesifikasi “Mulai Berkembang” berjumlah 8 siswa dengan persentase 33%. Selanjutnya pada siklus II lebih meningkat dengan rata-rata nilai 83,72, tergolong “Berkembang sesuai harapan” sebanyak 21 siswa atau 88%. Metode Simak Ulang Ucap menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang cukup signifikan dalam meningkatkan penguasaan bacaan shalat siswa mulai dari niat sampai dengan tasyahud akhir.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of narrative writing skills and interest in learning using online-based video scribe media in the fifth grade of SD Inpres Gunung Sari Baru, Makassar City. The research used is a quasi-experimental quantitative research. The design used is the Non-Equivalent Control Group Design consisting of two groups that were not selected at random using simple random sampling technique. From the test results using the sample t test on the skills of writing narrative essays, the significance value of Levene's Test for Equality is 0.620 > 0.05 with a coefficient value of 0.05. This value indicates that the data in this study is homogeneous, the significant value (Sig2-tailed) is 0.03 <0.05. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the skills of writing narrative essays using video scribe media. From the results of testing interest in learning, the significance value of Levene's Test for Equality is 0.751 > 0.05. This value indicates that the data in this study is homogeneous, the significant value (Sig2-tailed) is 0.04 < 0.05. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on interest in learning to write narrative essays using video scribe media. From the results of the MANOVA test, the value of sig 0.00 <0.05, which means that there is a simultaneous effect of using video scribe media on narrative essay writing skills and student learning interest.
