Abstract

 AbstractThe Konpopilan strip comics have their own peculiarities in conveying the story content that follows the things that happen in life, because it is does not use the language symbol on the dialogue. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative research form. Mean sign data was analysed by triadic technique of Pierce theory. The strip comic data is understood by the visual language technique of drawing. Conversational implicature data is analysed by Grice theory, i.e. conventional implicature. Strip comic data is culturally interpreted with cultural context analysis techniques. The result of data analysis concluded that the meaning of the signs can be found: character; behaviour; text balloon; punctuation; line; and the environment, with a total of 842 signs. Visual language can be described in the form of narrative that the flow of each scene is connected. There are 22 that have a single conversation implicature, one that have two conversation implicatures, and one comic strip that no conversation implicature is found. Comic strip writer Konpopilan made the news ever published into a comic strip story Konpopilan and divided into four sections. Keywords: semiotic, implicature, comic, visual language, sign.

Abstract

 AbstractTime and place indicator in Malay Sambas dialect is one of Sambas community's wealth in language field. Time and place indicator used by the Sambas Malay community come from the neighborhood around as the former of those terms. The purpose of this research is to know the form, the lexical meaning, the cultural meaning, and the semantic function. The method used in this research was descriptive and using ethnolinguistic approach. The techniques used in this study that was interviews, proficient, referent, and record. Data collection tool in the form of recorder and stationery. Based on the research conducted, the data collected amounted to 118 terminology of time and places in Sambas dialect Malay Language. The time and place terminologies in this research consists of two forms, those are the word in the form of monomorphemic and polymorphism and phrase. The monomorphemic terminology is 38 words. The lingual unit in the form of a polymorphism of affixation consisting of 24 terms. Lingual units in the form of phrases amounting to 38 terms. The term that has lexical meaning amounts to 79 terms and which has a cultural significance of 88 terms and that terms has the function sematis amounted to 118.Keywords: terminology, time indicator, place indicator, Language of Sambas Malay Society.

Abstract

AbstractThis study focused on observing the sensory verb in the Dayak Kanayatn language. This study has four specific problems, namely (1) review the sensory verb in the Dayak Kanayatn language, (2) review the meaning of the sensory verb in the Dayak Kanayatn language, and (3) review the morphological processes of deep the sensory verb in the Dayak Kanayatn language. The research method used in this study was descriptive with a qualitative form. The data sources used in this study were data that have been obtained from the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Then to complete the data, researchers prioritized the data obtained from informants, namely speakers of native language Dayak Kanayatn. The technique of collected data, reading and grouping each of the five sensory verbs obtained, and describing the sensory verbs that have been obtained. The results of the study, namely there were free basic verbs, there were 9 senses of seer, 2 senses of the listener, 1 sense of sniffer, 3 senses of taste, and 2 sense of touch. Derivative verbs have 35 senses of seer, 10 senses of listeners, 7 senses of smell, 10 senses of taste, and 8 senses of touch. Keywords: Morphologies, Scriptures, Senses, Verbs

Abstract

AbstractEthnomedisin vocabulary in traditional medicine of Dayay Kanayatn dialect Banyadu. Traditional medicine tradition in Banyadu society become distinct characteristic of the other Dayak sub-ethnics. Traditional medicine, such as baburas, batido, balenggang and baliatn is considered still sacred and magical that has supernatural powers. Traditional medicine is part of the customs and traditions passed down from generation to generation as a form of traditional medicine is nonmedical. So that traditional medicine is maintained and maintained. This research was conducted in Semade Village, Banyuke Hulu Sub-district, Landak District, which is the residence of Banyadu natives. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan ketiga masalah, sedangkan manfaatnya adalah penelitian ini dapat memberikan masukan bagi peneliti bahasa lainnya yang tertarik untuk mengetahui BMDK, dapat memberikan pengetahuan masyarakat Indonesia khususnya Kalimantan Barat mengenai konjungsi koordinatif BMDK, Penelitian ini dapat menambah wawasan dan pengalaman peneliti dalam menulis karya tulis ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan bahasa khususnya BMDK, penelitian ini dapat dijadikan acuan bagi peneliti selanjutnya yang akan meneliti BMDK, Penelitian ini dapat mendeskripsikan variasi kekayaan kosakata yang sangat berharga khususnya konjungsi koordinatif BMDK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, berbentuk kualitatif. Sember data penelitiannya adalah Bahasa Melayu Dialek Ketapang yang dituturkan oleh penutur asli masyarakat kelurahan Mulia Kerta, sedangkan datanya didapat melalui wawancara mengenai konjungsi koordinatif dengan informan yang direkam kemudian diterjemahkan dan dicatat. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik rekam, Teknik Simak Libat Cakap (SLC), Teknik Simak Bebas Libat Cakap dan Teknik Catat.   Kata kunci: konjungsi koordinatif, Melayu Dialek Ketapang. Abstract: The common problem of this research is how a coordinating conjunction ketapan dialect of Malay language. The general problems of this research are bounded into three sub-problems, namely form coordinative conjunctions, conjunctions coordinative function and meaning of coordinating conjunctions. The purpose of this research is to describe the three issues that are restricted, whereas the benefits of this research are to provide input for researchers of other languages ​​who are interested to know BMDK, provide knowledge of Indonesian people, especially Kalimantan Barat on the conjunction coordinative BMDK, this research enrich the knowledge and experience of the researcher in writing the scientific papers related to language BMDK particular, this research can be used as a reference for further research that will examine BMDK, describe the variation vocabulary especially BMDK coordinative conjunctions. The from of this research is a descriptive study with qualitative form. Of the data of this research is Ketapang Malay dialect spoken by native speakers Mulia Kerta village community, whereas the data obtained through interviews about the coordinative conjunction with the informant who recorded and then translated and recorded. The technique of data collection used in this research is a recording technique, which consists of Listen Proficient (SLC), Mechanical Listen Non involved Proficient and Engineering Record.  Keywords: coordinating conjunctions, Malay dialect Ketapang.

Abstract

AbstractSemantic field verbs hit that contained in Dayak Language Kanayatn Bajare Isolect has different types and functions. This research problem, to know the component of meaning, kind of meaning and meaning, and semantic function of verbs hit in Dayak Kanayatn Bajare Isolect. This research focuses on the semantic field, with the aim of (1) describing the components of the meaning language of Kanayatn Bajare Isolect; (2) describing the type and meaning of the verb striking in the Dayak language of Kanayatn Bajare Isolect; and (3) describing the function of semantic verbs hit in Dayak language Kanayatn Bajare Isolect. Based on the results of research that has been done, it was found that in Dayak Kanayatn Bajare Isolect there are 20 lexeme verbs hit without tools, and 3 lexeme verbs hit without tools and using tools. The types of meanings and meanings found in lexical meanings, 41 cultural meanings, 39 grammatical meanings, and 41 semantic function.Keywords: semantics, meaning fields, verbs, hit, Bajare Isolect

Abstract

AbstractThe research problem of this study is, how is the terminology in abuh dapor lawakng tangak traditional ceremony. The general problem is limited to four subproblems: description of terminology description, component of meaning, and lexical meaning. The method used in this research is conversation and descriptive method using qualitative form. Techniques used were interview and live conversations. Data collection tools used were a research instrument in the form of sentences (to filter the data asked by the researcher to the informant), data card used to facilitate data and recorder. Based on data analysis that has been done by researcher, can be concluded that from the five categories of the abuh, the researcher succeeded in collecting 33 terminology in the process of performing the abuh dapor lawakng tangak traditional ceremony covering the five categories of abuh, 20 terms of custom rite equipment in traditional ceremony of abuh kahagokng and abuh agokng, 19 terminology of custom rite equipment in traditional ceremony of abuh bagi, abuh popah, dan abuh naribokng, 33 terminology of banquet equipment, 17 terminology of foodstuff, and 12  terminology of food names. Keywords: Abuh dapor, lawakng tangak, lexical meaning.

Abstract

AbstractProverb research aims to inventory, classifying the type, form, function and meaning using the study of semantics. This research is the study of Linguistics or linguistic. The results of this research can contribute and are expected to add insight in linguistic contexts. The study of proverbs is a semantic study Keninjal Dayak in methods of descriptive and qualitative form. The approach used in this study is the semantic approach. The source of the data in this study are the Dayak languages Keninjal. The technique of determining the source of the data used is the purposive sampling. The data in the study totaled 165 proverb research data collection technique is the technique of fishing rods, interview techniques, recording Techniques. Types Ferox Keninjal Proverb is the adage, parable, perbilangan, slogan, thimble and expression. Types Ferox Keninjal proverb of the most prominent is the parable. Dayak proverb Keninjal shaped phrases divided into phrases endosentris, eksosentrik phrase, noun phrases, verbal phrases, phrases, idiomatic phrase phrase adjektifa konotatif. There is also a proverb shaped sentences consist of complete sentences, elliptical sentences sentences sideline, and minor sentences. The function of proverbs Keninjal Dayak is to advise, quips, rebuke and to declare certain circumstances. The meaning of the proverb Dayak Keninjal consists of grammatical meaning, in denotative, konotatif, conceptual, idiomatic full, partial and idiomatic meanings of proverbs.        Keywords: Proverbs, Inventory, Type, Form, Function, Meaning

Abstract

AbstractThe multiplicity of students colors the language usage of students in the school environment, especially in Pontianak Gembala Baik High School. Whereas in the use of language, Gembala Baik High School students are said to be bilingual because mastery of the first language and second language is equally good. The method used in this study is a descriptive method using SPEAKING analysis from Hymes. Of the 14 data, there are 36 words which are included in the field of language of phonology. In addition to the phonological level, there is also a clause at the semantic level, as well as mixed code out in the form of fragments of words, phrases, and clauses in English and Chinese. Whereas insertion in Chinese includes words, phrases and clauses. There is an event of code mixing in the form of inserting words in Javanese. Code switching is in phrases in English and Chinese as well as sentence code switching. And code switching in the field of phonology. Interference in the field of phonology, fields of morphology, interference in the field of syntax, and semantic field interference, as well as lexical field interference. There are 19 data visual integration, 7 data integration direct translation, and 2 integration concept translation.Keywords: code mixing, code switching, interference and integration

Abstract

 Abstract The research about describe the term, the component of meaning, the meaning of lexical and the meaning of culture in otar-otar martial art in form of movement, instruments music instrument and kuntau movement. The method that was used was observation method, interview, documentation, and descriptive. Based on the data analysis, otar-otar martial art there are some data which is rasists of is data for the terminology of otar-otar movement 4 data the terminology of instrument in otar-otar martial art, 4 data for terminology of otar-otar martial art music instrument, and 7 data for terminology of kuntau in otar-otar martial art. Result of data analysis of based on data analysis result of the meaning component that has been done and it was found that the meaning component of the otar-otar  martial art movement there were 4 terminology data, the music instrument of otar-otar martial art there were 4 terminology data, and kuntau martial art movement there were 7 terminology data. The result of interview that was obtained, it means there were 6 cultural meaning in otar-otar martial art. It was 5 for otar-otar martial art movement and it was 1 for the instrument of otar-otar martial art. Keywords: terminology, martial art, otar-otar, kuntau, Sambas Malay.
