Abstract

AbstractThe term of costum ceremony in Dayak Bakati? community at Segiring Village is seen from the inventory, the lexical meaning, and the cultural sense. The research method was descriptive linguistics. The research approach was semantic approach. The source of research was the speech of Dayak language Bakati? Segiring dialect spoken by native speakers of Segiring village, Tujuh Belas Subdistrict, Bengkayang Regency. The technique of research was interview, record, notebook, and documentation. The tool of data collection was voice recorder and notebook. Based on the research, the researcher collect 64 terms in the nyabakng ceremony. The data was obtained from the interview and recording process. The terms of the traditional ceremony in the study consisted of 12 tool terms, 48 material terms, 3 terms of offender, and 1 place term. The term of ceremony consist of two terms, 39 terms of monomorfemis (single word) and the 25 terms of phrases. The term in the costum ceremony has a 64 terms of lexical meaning, and 50 terms of cultural sense.Keywords: Terminology, Nyabakng traditional ceremony, Dayak Bakati?.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is focused on the semantic field, with the aim to describe the relation of meaning of adjectives and nouns in Malay Dialect Sambas (BMDS). The method used is descriptive method with qualitative research form. The data in this study are words that contain the relation of meaning adjectives and nouns in BMDS. Data source in this research is BMDS spoken by the speakers in Tebas Kuala Village, Tebas Sub-district, Sambas District. Technique of collecting data using skillful technique of advance, technique of fishing line, recording technique, and technique of note. Data collection tools used are notebooks, questionnaires, list of images, and recording devices. Data analysis technique used in this research is done through stages of describing data, analyzing data, and drawing conclusion. Based on the research results in BMDS there are synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, hyponim, and polysemics analyzed by adjective and adjectival word classes. There are twenty-two pairs of synonyms in this study that are divided into four types of synonyms, namely total and complete synonyms, synonyms not total but complete, synonyms total but not complete, and synonyms are not total and not complete. There are thirty pairs of antonyms in this study divided into five types of antonyms, namely absolute antonyms, antonym relations, polar antonyms, hierarchial antonyms, and multiple antonyms, four homonym five hyponim and six polysemic. Keywords: meaning relation, adjectives, and nouns.

Abstract

AbstractCommon problems are limited to three subproblems related to (1) the type of speech act directive which consists of asking, asking, ordering, prohibiting, allowing, advising, (2) how the context is, (3) implementation in school. The purpose of the study is to describe the type of speech acts, describe the context, and implementation plan in school. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative research form. Sources of data and data in this research is the film For Angeline by Jito Banyu, and the data in the form of speech directive. The technique used in this research is a documentary study technique, while the data collection tool is the researcher himself as a key instrument. Keywords: speech act,  directive,  film, for angeline.

Abstract

AbstractThe research about person deixis, place, time and social in Agnes Davonar's My Idiot Brother novel focused on the description of the form and the meaning of person deixis, place, time and social and relationship between the persona deixis and social. The form of this research was qualitative with descriptive method. The data in this research was the person deixis, place, time and social contained in the novel My Idiot Brother. The sources of this research was the novel My Idiot Brother by Agnes Davonar. The data collection technique in this research was using documentary. The technique testing the validity of data in this research was diligence of observation and reference coverage. Based on data analysis on Agnes Davonar's My Idiot Brother novel found 16 forms of person deixis, 6 forms of place deixis, 5 forms of time deixis, and 9 forms of social deixis. The form of the persona deixis is found to be the first person singular, first person plural, second person singular, second person plural, third person singular and third person plural.                                     Keywords: Form, Meaning, Deixis, Novel

Abstract

AbstractDurian Jerah season in Sukadana Malayan Society is a form of hereditary cultural activity. Sukadana Malayan Terminologies are also related to their life vision in seeing things that happened in life. Therefore, the terminologies of Durian Jerah Season in Sukadana Malayan Society are considered of having lifetime moral values (classic). The terminologies in Sukadana Malayan Society usually considered as a certain thing or event. In this research, Terminologies of Durian Jerah Season in Sukadana Malayan Society are determined by the form and category, lexical meaning and cultural meaning.  The methods used in this research are data collecting method and data analyzing method. The approaches used in this research are structural, semantic, and etnolinguistic approach. The source of data in this research is the terminologies of Durian Jerah Season spoken by the native speaker. The techniques in this research are inducement, direct interview, and note and record techniques. The tools in collecting data is the researcher as key instrument with notes and sound recorder. Based on the research result Terminologies of Durian Jerah Season consist of three terms: monomorphism for 33 terms, polymorphism for 2 terms, and frases for 82 terms. Overall, the plants terms consist of 11 lexical meanings and 123 cultural meanings, 2 myths, 5 prohibitons, and 6 spoken literary.       Keywords: terminologies, durian jerah season, Sukadana Malayan Society

Abstract

AbstractBuboreh is a traditional medicine that is in the community of Dayak Bih Nangeh. This research was conducted in the estuary of the River, the village of Ilai, Beduai Subdistrict, Sanggau. Problems in the study is how the form of terminology in the Buboreh, the meaning of the lexical meaning of the cultural and the resulting text form as a supplement language learning materials Indonesia with scope on pre-implementation, the implementation and post-implementation. This research was done using descriptive methods with qualitative form. Techniques of data collection, use, fishing techniques, engineering, proficient at first, and record. Based on the results of the analysis, this research managed to muster 79 data terminology in a Buboreh comprising 48 lexical meanings of terminology data, 19 cultural meanings of terminology data, 8 data terminology pay custom, 4 data terms of lingual units the form of the word derivative                                                                            Keywords: terminology, buboreh, lexical meaning, cultural meaning

Abstract

Abstrak This study aims at (1) type of speech, (2) speech function, (3) values and norms in pama line speech at traditional wedding ceremony of Dyak Simpakng community. This research is a qualitative descriptive research using sociopragmatic approach, to understand socialization practices that are oriented in the context of indigenous marriage of Dayak Simpakng community. The data collection in this research is done by interview, obeservation and recording technique. After conducting a direct analysis of the pamabaris discourse on the traditional ceremony of the Dayak Simpakng community, it was found that: the type of my glorious utterance at the traditional wedding ceremony of the Dayak Simpakngmeliputi community: (1) the direct literal talk, 2) the direct speech is not literal; (3) indirect speech is not literal. The function of my glorious utterance in telling pama line at traditional marriage ceremony of Dayak Simpakng community include: (1) assertive, (2) directive, (3) expressive, (4) commissive, (5) declarative, both cultural values found in discourse pamabaris at traditional wedding ceremony of Dayak Simpkng community Keywords: Pama Line, Sosiopragmatik, Type and Function Of Speech, Value and Norm

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to describe the meaning of conversational implicature, the type of conversation implicatures and the form of conversational implicature. A short story of compass selection is the best short story written by famous writers and through the screening stage conducted by five jurors who have been competent in their field.This research method was a descriptive method. This research was qualitative using documentary study technique. Data in this research in the form of conversation sentences that contained conversational implicatures in a collection of short stories Kompas 2014 data sources in this study were short stories contained in a collection of Short Selection Kompas 2014.The results of this study got 41 conversational implicatures from 13 short stories contained figurative meanings, emotive meanings, affective meanings, and pictorial meanings. Figurative meaning consists of 26 meanings, emotive meaning consists of 5 meanings, affective meaning consisted of 8 meanings, and the meaning pictorial consists of 2 meanings. There were 3 forms of implicature sentences, ie news sentences, sentence, and sentence commands. The news sentence consists of 28 sentences, 13 sentence sentences, and a command sentence consisted of 6 sentences. Abstract

 This study focused on Code Transfer and Code Mixing in the Bumi Cinta novel by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Code switching is the transfer of language from Indonesian to another language, while mixing code is mixing Indonesian with other languages.The problem of this research is how is the type of code switching, how does the type of code intervene, and how does the code mix form in the novel Bumi Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shiray. The purpose of this study was to describe the type of code switching, describe the type of code mixing, and describe the mixed code form in the novel Bumi Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The technique used is documentary study techniques. Data collection tools are humans as keys and note cards.Based on the results of data analysis of code switching and code mixing, this study found 28 types of code switching outside, namely code switching from Indonesian to Russian, from Indonesian to Arabic, and from Indonesian to English. There are 3 types of mixed code in, from Indonesian to Javanese. There are 40 types of mixed code out, from Indonesian to Russian, from Indonesian to Arabic, and from Indonesian to English. Keywords: Code switching, Code mixing, Novel

Abstract

AbstractThe complex and many information in the linguistic rules of the Bahasa subject in curriculum 2013  makes students difficult to memorize. Especially in affixation material that has no abstract and meaning. This study aims to describe the application of mnemonic techniques accrostic type to improve memory in language affixation learning of Bahasa on grade X IPS SMAN 3 Pontianak. The research design used was experimental type with quantitative. The subjects of the research are the students of class X IPS 1 as experiment class and X IPS 3 as control class. While the value of the average pre-test of the experimental group students was 47,39 and the posttest average score is 84,12. Calculation of significant differences in the experimental group is 13,15. The magnitude of the influence of the use of accrostic-typemnemonik techniques have been calculated which is obtained ES of 1,17 > 0,8 which included in the high criteria. It is concluded that the use of accrostic-type mnemonic techniques has a significant effect on students’ memory level. Keywords: effectiveness, mnemonics, accrostic, affixation.
