Abstract

 AbstractThe naming of places in JawaiSub-district has its own characteristics contained the origin of the name of the place.. It is important to know the name in each place. However, not everyone who lives un other place knows the origin of name of place that has been given.Naming places is closely related to geographical and cultural conditions in each region. The naming of places is not only seen geographically and culturally, but is formed through past stories, the conditions of previous societies and the languages used in each region both Chinese, Dayak, Malay and Javanese. Therefore, to solve this problem the researcher details the problem, namely how the form and meaning of naming the place in Jawai District, Sambas Regency. the results of the study obtained 20 place name data which were grouped into seven categories, namely based on plants, geography, location, people's names, occupation, people's actions, and stories.Keywords: Shape, Meaning, Naming Place, Description textAbstractThe naming of places in JawaiSub-district has its own characteristics contained the origin of the name of the place.. Abstract

Abstract This research provides insight into how intercourse or exclamation. The word interjection is used to represent the heart of the speaker, though only by using certain words from Sambas dialect Malay language in Sungai Pangkalan Village, Sungai Raya Subdistrict, Bengkayang District. The problem in this research is how the form of interjection, the meaning of interjection, and the function of Sambas dialect malay language. Based on data analysis, this study yields a conclusion (a) Interjection Form in Malay language Sambas dialect has forty two basic words and eleven derivative words. (b) The meaning of interjection in Sambas dialect Malay is twenty-four. (c) Interjection functions in Sambas dialect Malay language are thirty-four, these functions include: thirty-four emotive functions, nineteen conative functions, five fatik functions, and three referential functions.                            Keywords: Interjection, Form, Function, Sambas Malay

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian mendeskripsikan persyaratan dan alat yang digunakan dalam prosesi pernikahan adat Dayak Ketungau Sesat berdasarkan komponen makna, jenis makna, dan fungsi makna. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian adalah Bahasa Dayak Ketungau Sesat Kabupaten Sekadau. Data penelitian dalah nama, makna dan fungsi semantis persyaratan dan alat prosesi pernikahan adat Dayak Ketungau Sesat. Teknik yang digunakan adalah wawancara. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu instrumen penelitian dan alat perekam.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam prosesi pernikahan adat Dayak Ketungau Sesat terdapat tiga tahapan yaitu, prapernikahan, pelaksanaan pernilakahan, pascapernikahan. Terdapat 5 persyaratan mentah dan masak disertai mantra dan terdapat 25 persyaratan dan 11 peralatan dalam prosesi pernikahan adat Dayak Ketungau Sesat. Kata kunci: medan makna, persyaratan dan alat prosesi pernikahan adat Dayak Ketungau Sesat Abstract Porpose of this study describes the requiments and tools in the traditionally wedding procession Dayak Ketungau Sesat. The method used is descriptive method with a form of qualitative research.The resource data is the Dayak Ketungau Sesat Languages in Sekadau. The data is the name, the meaning and the function of semantic requirements and tools traditionally wedding procession of Dayak Ketungau sesat. The technique used was an interview. The Data collection tool used that was prompted researchers and tape recorder. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that in the traditionally wedding procession of Dayak Ketungau sesat there are three stages namely, Pre wedding, Wedding, and After wedding. There are five requirements of the raw and cook with spells and there are 25 terms and the 11 equipment in the traditionally wedding procession of Dayak Ketungau sesat. Abstract

 AbstractThis research describes the words of woven crafts in Dayak Bakati'Palayo language. A common problem in this research is the meaning component of the word woven handicrafts in the Dayak Bakati'Palayo language. The general problem is divided into three subproblems, namely the components of meaning, meaning of words, and semantic functions. This study aims to describe the components of meaning, meaning of words, and semantic functions found in the word woven crafts. This research was conducted using descriptive methods with qualitative forms. Data collection methods use proficiency methods, binary opposition, and structural. This study managed to collect 27 data components of meaning. From 27 data meaning components there are 27 data meaning words. This study also produced 10 semantic roles as sufferers, seven semantic roles as inst rumental, four semantic roles as benefactors, two semantic roles as locatives, two semantic roles as experience, one semantic role as acting, and 1 as an incentive. Keywords : Component of meaning, woven handicrafts, Dayak Bakati'Palayo

Abstract

 AbstractThis research aims to explain and elaborate the result of silence analysis and the cause in Final Debate of 2017 Regional Head Election of Special Capital Region of Jakarta. Method used was descriptive in form of qualitative. Data sources were utterances produced by the two candidate pairs of regional head of Special Capital Area of Jakarta in 2017 who did a debate in a video along with the people involved. The research data was the silence occurred in the Final debate of 2017 Regional Head Election of Special Capital Region of Jakarta. Technique of collecting data used were exposure technique and context analysis. The tool of collecting data was video record. Data analysis method used was SBLC technique ? a listening method. Based on the result, there were 80 times of silence in debate. The type of silence were content silence, quiet silence, progressive repetition, false starts, elongation, refinement, and silence combination. The silence are occurred in the beginning, middle, and ending or even the combination of these three in a sentence. Some of the cause of silence are circumspection, demanding more time, repetition, false starts, hesitation, nervousness, and refinement. This research can contribute to the learning especially in speaking aspects.                Key Words: silence, type, distribution, the cause, debate

Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated by the absence of comprehensive research in discribe of idiom of Malay Language dialect Kapuas Hulu. The issues discussed is how type, meaning, and function idiom of Malay Language dialect Kapuas Hulu. The aim of this study was to discribe of type, meaning, and function idiom of Malay Language dialect Kapuas Hulu. The method employed in this study was data collecting methods and data analysis methods. Data collecting techniques employed in this study were involved conversation observation technique, uninvolved conservation observation technique, provoking technique, recording technique, and technique notes. Data analysis methods with steps to transcribe data, calssify data, analyze data based on the issues discussed, and conclude the data. Based on the results of research and of the data analysis, 92 idioms were found. The findings can be seen from several point of views ie type, meaning, and function idiom; in terms of the type is divided into two types, namely full idioms (52 idioms) and semi idioms (40 idioms); the meaning of idiom is a meaning that deviates from the conceptual meaning and grammatical constituent; the use of idiom is closely related to the function of idiom that is to provide advice, to satire, to compilment, and to reinforce a statement. Keywords: type, meaning, and idiom function

Abstract

Abstract.This research focuses on the semantic field that discusses observations on the members of the human body, namely about pain in the Sambas dialect Malay, precisely in the District of Paloh. learning Indonesian in junior high school VII. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative research form. The data and data sources in this study are in the Sambas dialect Malay spoken by the informant. The data collection technique used by researchers is to go directly to the field. In addition, the technique to test the validity of the data used is the perseverance of observation, the adequacy of references, and guidance with lecturers using data analysis techniques which are based on research problems of the meaning of pain in the Sambas dialect Malay. Based on the results of this study found 37 descriptions of lexemes, 37 descriptions of lexical meanings and 15 meanings of collocation. In addition, this research is expected to be used as teaching material in learning Indonesian curriculum 2013 in the seventh grade junior high school. Keywords: Field Of Meaning, Lexeme, Lexical, Collocation

Abstract

AbstractMalay language in Tayan Hilir dialect grows and thrives in Tayan Hilir District, Sanggau Regency. The researcher interested in this title because proverbs can improve and clear up a sentence. The purpose of this research is to describe type, meaning, and function of the proverbs. The methods used are referring, proficient, and descriptive in the form of qualitative research. The data source is from the native speakers of Malay language in Tayan Hilir dialect. The techniques used in collecting the data are observation, referring-engaged-competent, record, and note. Based on the data analysis, the result of this research shows that, in Malay language in Tayan Hilir dilect, there are 141 proverbs, and divided into 6 types, they are 62 sayings, 12 parables, 58 phrase (idiom), 5 bywords, 2 imageries, 2 allusions. The meaning of proverb in Malay language in Tayan Hilir dialect is the meaning that still can be traced and tracked from the meaning of its elements because of the association between the original meaning and its meaning as a proverb. There are 4 functions of proverb in Malay language in Tayan Hilir dialect, those are, advice, insinuation (subtle scolding), compliment, and diplomatic language (affirmation).  Keywords: Proverb, Malay Dialect of Tayan Hilir

Abstract

AbstractImperative speech is found with a high level of frequency in everyday life Researchers choose imperative speech because imperative speech is used humans to communicate in everyday life. This research uses several methods, the first method for data collection is the method refer. Both methods of data analysis are descriptive method, context analysis, and comparative. The result of the analysis of imperative speech between teacher and student in SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak is that there is a form of speech imperative between teacher and student, meaning of imperative of teacher and student's speech, imperative pragmatic imperative in classroom learning between teacher and student. This study found the form of regular imperative sentences, sentence request, permission sentence, sentence solicitation, and imperative sentence. The meaning of the imperative pragmatic utterances found in this study is the meaning of command, order, request, insistence, madness, invitation, permission request, permit, prohibition and suggestion. Abstract

AbstractThis study describes the realization of politeness in language in the film Surga yang Tak Dirindukan 2. Politeness is a procedure for communicating through language procedures. Politeness is also used as a benchmark for speakers of speech partners. The purpose of this research is to describe illocutionary speech acts, forms of language politeness speech, and the strategies of speakers in realizing language politeness.The theory used in this study is Leech's theory using the maxim theory in the politeness principle. This type of research is qualitative. The form of this research is descriptive. The research approach used is the pragmatic approach.Based on the analysis results in the film Surga yang tak dirindukan 2 concluded that there are 23 kinds of speech acts that are divided into four kinds of speech acts namely, assertive, directive, commissive and expressive. Forms of politeness politeness speech are in 5 forms of speech acts: politeness politeness speech in reminding, politeness politeness speech in suggesting, politeness politeness speech in offering, politeness politeness speech in pledging, and politeness politeness speech in praise. The politeness strategies of language there are five strategies which are divided into two, positive politeness strategies and negative politeness strategies: the strategy of realizing positive politeness: a) offering help or promises, b) using group identity markers, and c) giving praise and realization of negative politeness strategies: a ) apologies, and b) being pessimistic. Keywords: Realization of Politeness, Speech Act, Politeness Strategy, Film Surga yang Tak Dirindukan 2.
