Abstract

The #MeToo movement has brought global attention to issues of sexual harassment and gender inequality, sparking widespread debates about women's rights and safe spaces for victims of crime. In the context of Christian theology, this issue is often faced with the challenge of interpreting teachings that can maintain gender hierarchy. This article aims to examine the ethics of Christian theology in response to the #MeToo movement, with a focus on gender equality and the protection of victims of sexual violence. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, it is concluded that Christianity needs to reinterpret biblical teachings in the context of gender equality. Which indeed focuses on the theology of feminism and religious perspectives on women and certainly narrates the role of Christian theological ethics in Responding to Sexual Violence. So that Christianity can theologically analyse gender equality in religious teachings in responding to the #metoo movement.  This is very much needed because Christian theology has the capacity to become an agent of change in supporting gender equality and fighting sexual violence, although it requires a more progressive transformation of thought in the interpretation of religious teachings.AbstrakGerakan #MeToo telah membawa perhatian global terhadap isu pelecehan seksual dan ketidaksetaraan gender, memicu perdebatan luas tentang hak perempuan dan ruang aman bagi korban tindak kejahatan. Dalam konteks teologi Kristen, masalah ini sering kali dihadapi dengan tantangan interpretasi ajaran yang dapat mempertahankan hierarki gender. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji terkait etika teologi Kristen dalam merespons gerakan #MeToo, dengan fokus pada kesetaraan gender dan perlindungan terhadap korban kekerasan seksual. Menggunkan metode kualitatif deskritif dengan pendekatan studi literature, maka disimpulkan bahwa perlunya kekristenan dalam reinterpretasi ajaran Alkitab terkait konteks kesetaraan gender. Yang memang berfokus pada teologi feminisme dan perspektif agama terhadap perempuan dan tentu menarasikan peran etika teologis Kristen dalam Menyikapi Kekerasan Seksual. Sehingga kekristenan dapat menganalisis teologis terhadap kesetaraan gender dalam ajaran agama dalam merespons gerakan #metoo.  Hal itu sangat dibutuhkan sebab teologi Kristen memiliki kapasitas untuk menjadi agen perubahan dalam mendukung kesetaraan gender dan melawan kekerasan seksual, meskipun memerlukan transformasi pemikiran yang lebih progresif dalam interpretasi ajaran agama. Kata Kunci:  Teologi Kristen, Gerakan #MeToo, Kesetaraan Gender, Kekerasan Seksual.

Abstract

Social changes and technological advancements, generation Z (Gen Z) teenagers face issues and challenges maintaining their Christian faith, especially with the emergence of progressive Christian thought that offers reinterpretations of traditional teachings that strongly deviate from doctrinal orthodoxy. This thinking often puts forward values of inclusivity such as including the view that salvation is not only limited to those who explicitly identify as Christians by believing in Jesus, but can also include individuals from other religious backgrounds or beliefs, as long as they live a life of love, kindness, and morality and there is also the value of relativism that has the potential to influence teenagers' faith beliefs. The purpose of this research is to make the relevance of Christian education in strengthening the resilience of Gen Z teenagers' faith against the influence of progressive Christian thought. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, which examines relevant literature on Christian education, faith resilience, and progressive Christian thought. It can be concluded that Christian education based on the teachings of the Bible can actually form the resilience of teenagers' faith against the influence of progressive Christianity. So it is necessary to understand progressive Christianity and its thinking, so that generation Z in the era of globalisation development, can receive teaching from Christian education and the importance of Gen Z teenagers' faith resilience. This starts from the strategic of Christian education in the integrity of teenagers' faith in the midst of the flow of progressive Christian thought and in the midst of the flow of thoughts that continue to develop but deviate. AbstrakPerubahan sosial dan kemajuan teknologi, remaja generasi Z (Gen Z) menghadapi persoalan dan tantangan mempertahankan iman Kristen mereka, terutama dengan munculnya pemikiran Kristen progresif yang menawarkan reinterpretasi ajaran tradisional yang sangat menyimpang dari doktrin ortodoksi. Pemikiran ini sering kali mengedepankan nilai-nilai inklusivitas seperti  mencakup pandangan bahwa keselamatan tidak hanya terbatas pada mereka yang secara eksplisit mengidentifikasi diri sebagai Kristen dengan percaya pada Yesus, tetapi juga dapat mencakup individu dari latar belakang agama atau keyakinan lain, selama mereka menjalani kehidupan yang penuh kasih, kebaikan, dan moralitadan juga ada nilai relativisme yang berpotensi memengaruhi keyakinan iman remaja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini supaya relevansi pendidikan Kristen dalam memperkuat ketahanan iman remaja Gen Z terhadap pengaruh pemikiran Kristen progresif. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka, yang mengkaji literatur yang relevan mengenai pendidikan Kristen, resiliensi iman, dan pemikiran Kristen progresif. Dapat disimpulkan pendidikan Kristen yang berbasis pada ajaran Alkitab sejatinya dapat membentuk ketahanan iman remaja terhadap pengaruh Kristen progresif. Maka perlunya memahami Kristen progresif dan pemikirannya, sehingga generasi Z di era perkembangan Globalisasi, dapat menerima pengajaran dari pendidikan Kristen dan pentingnya  resiliensi iman remaja Gen Z. Hal ini dimulai dari  strategis Pendidikan Kristen dalam integritas iman remaja di tengah arus pemikiran  Kristen progresif dan di tengah arus pemikiran yang terus berkembang namun menyimpang.

Abstract

Education has an important role in shaping individual knowledge and character to face the times. Education not only affects knowledge, but also affects a person's behavior both as an individual and in social life. Every action people take in a social environment can affect the quality of their lives, and positive deeds play an important role in creating an atmosphere of peace. Therefore, it is important to conduct an assessment of one's character to find out the mistakes made and provide direction for improvement. This study aims to evaluate the importance of character education in shaping positive attitudes and behaviors, and to see the extent to which good character can be a mirror and blessing for oneself and others. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with interviews, observations and document analysis related to character education in the school environment. The results showed that good character education can help individuals to be more careful in their actions and interactions, and have a positive impact on their social life.

Abstract

Christianity learning is an important aspect in shaping students' character and faith. However, in its implementation, there is often a lack of active student participation as well as a deep understanding of the material being taught. One solution that can be applied is the use of collaborative learning strategies. This strategy involves students actively in the learning process through group work, discussions, and project-based activities. The purpose of this research is to examine various collaborative learning strategies that are effectively applied in learning Christian religious education, as well as providing an understanding of the benefits and impact on improving student understanding. The methods used in this research are literature study and observation of the implementation of collaborative learning strategies in several Christian religious education classes. The results showed that collaborative learning is able to increase students' motivation, participation, and understanding of Christian teaching materials. In conclusion, collaborative learning strategies are very relevant and effective to use in the context of Christian religious education to create meaningful and enjoyable learning for students.

Abstract

This journal article explores the concept of relational discipleship as a vital approach for empowering the younger generation to navigate the challenges posed by the era of disruption. Characterized by rapid technological advancements and significant shifts in social dynamics, this era presents numerous obstacles, including moral decline, identity crises, and negative behaviors linked to excessive technology use. The article emphasizes the importance of relational discipleship, which fosters intimate relationships between leaders and youth, facilitating spiritual growth and resilience. By implementing practical strategies such as modeling behavior, encouraging open dialogue, and involving youth in ministry leaders can effectively guide young individuals toward spiritual maturity and adherence to the truths of God's Word. Ultimately, relational discipleship emerges as a crucial means for equipping the younger generation to face the complexities of contemporary life with wisdom and grace, enabling them to embody the values of faith and integrity in a disruptive world.

Abstract

Leadership that is corrupt and very far from the truth and evil before God but is considered normal in the reign of King Ahab as written in 1 Kings, this crime which is considered normal presents a prophetic voice where Elisha pronounces punishment for Ahab, through the story of Ahab and Jezebel Christian leadership studies to be able to reduce the moral banality and character of Christian leaders as a study of Ahad and Izabel's leadership in 1 Kings 21. Using descriptive qualitative research methods with a literature study approach, it can be concluded that reducing the moral banality and character of Christian leaders as a study of Ahad and Izabel leadership Izabel in 1 Kings 21 Christian leadership needs to know the nature of moral banality and deviant character, which greatly influences the leader's life. Through studying the history of the journey of evil kings Ahab and Jezebel in leadership case studies can be a parameter for not falling into moral banality and evil character. And what is expected in the actualization of contemporary Christian leadership is to strengthen moral education and the formation of good character. In addition, Christian leaders also need to strengthen their relationship with God and deepen their faith to strengthen morality and integrity in their actions and decisions. Thus, the leadership study of Ahab and Izabel can be a lesson for Christian leaders to avoid moral banality and deviant character.AbstrakKepemimpinan yang rusak dan sangat jauh dari kebenaran serta jahat di hadapan Tuhan namun dianggap wajar terjadi dalam pemerintahan raja Ahab yang tertulis dalam 1 Raja-raja, kejahatan yang dianggap lumrah itu menghadirkan suara kenabian di mana Elisa menyatakan hukuman bagi Ahab, lewat kisah Ahab dan Izebel kepemimpinan Kristen belajar untuk dapat mereduksi banalitas moral dan karakter pemimpin Kristen sebagai studi kepemimpinan Ahab dan izabel dalam 1 Raja-raja 21. Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi literature maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa mereduksi banalitas moral dan karakter pemimpin Kristen sebagai studi kepemimpinan Ahab  dalam 1 Raja-raja 21 kepemimpinan Kristen perlu mengetahui hakikat banalitas moral dan karakter yang menyimpang, yang mana hal ini sangat memengaruhi kehidupan pemimpin. Lewat pembelajaran sejarah perjalanan raja jahat Ahab dan Izebel dalam studi kasus kepemimpinan dapat menjadi parameter untuk tidak terjerumus dalam banalitas moral dan karakter jahat. Dan yang diharapkan dalam aktualisasi kepemimpinan Kristen masa kini untuk memperkuat pendidikan moral dan pembentukan karakter yang baik. Selain itu, pemimpin Kristen juga perlu memperkuat hubungan dengan Tuhan dan memperdalam iman mereka untuk memperkuat moralitas dan integritas dalam tindakan dan keputusan mereka. Dengan demikian, studi kepemimpinan Ahab dan Izebel dapat menjadi pelajaran bagi pemimpin Kristen untuk menghindari banalitas moral dan karakter yang menyimpang.

Abstract

Pornography is an audio-visual product, image or writing that can design the sexual lust of someone who reads or watches it. According to the Christian view, pornography depicts sex in a sinful way, degrades human dignity, destroys marital commitments, and engenders lust and adultery. The cause of pornography addiction is due to internal and external factors. Pornography is bad for teenagers because it causes addiction, damages the brain, the desire to try and imitate, and initiates sexual acts. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, it can be concluded that the role of the teacher and Christian religious education is a teaching and learning process that is based on the Bible, centered on Christ, and depends on the power of the Holy Spirit to guide each person at all levels of faith growth. The role of the Christian Religious Education teacher is not just to provide guidance and teaching in the field of Christian Religious Education to students, but the goal that the teacher wants to achieve is to develop and foster faith, attitudes, and actions in accordance with the testimony in the Bible and applied to them. daily life of students. So that it can seek to prevent pornography in all aspects within the scope of education. Abstract Pornografi adalah sebuah produk audio-visual, gambar ataupun tulisan yang bisa merancang nafsu birahi seksual seseorang yang membaca ataupun menontonnya. Menurut pandangan Kristen pornografi menggambarkan seks dalam cara berdosa, merendahkan martabat manusia, menghancurkan komitmen perkawinan, dan menanamkan hawa nafsu dan perzinahan. Penyebab kecanduan pornografi karena ada faktor internal dan eksternal. Pornografi berdampak buruk bagi remaja karena menyebabkan kecanduan, merusak otak, keinginan untuk mencoba serta meniru, dan mulai melakukan tindakan seksual. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran guru dan pendidikan agama Kristen adalah proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang berdasarkan Alkitab, berpusat pada Kristus, dan bergantung kepada kuasa Roh Kudus yang membimbing setiap pribadi pada semua tingkat pertumbuhan iman. Peran guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen bukan sekedar memberikan bimbingan dan pengajaran dalam bidang Pendidikan Agama Kristen kepada peserta didik, namun tujuan yang hendak di capai oleh guru yaitu untuk mengembangkan dan menumbuhkan iman, sikap, serta tindakan sesuai dengan kesaksian yang ada dalam Alkitab dan di aplikasikan kedalam kehidupan peserta didik sehari-hari. Sehingga dapat mengupayakan pencegahan pornografi dalam segala aspek dalam lingkup pendidikan.

Abstract

Abstract: The development of digital technology has brought significant changes in social and cultural life and spirituality, especially for the Alpha generation who grew up in the digital era and the globalisation of the internet of thoughts. The influence of social media, digital content, and virtual interaction in the gadget world has affected their mindset and moral behaviour. Therefore, Christian education, which is supposed to shape character and morality based on the teachings of Christ, is faced with great challenges in teaching ethical values in the midst of the rapid development of cyberspace which often contradicts moral principles and Christian values. This research aims to examine the role of Christian education in shaping the morality of the Alpha generation in the digital world, with a focus on the integration of theology in relevant theological ethical teaching. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach. The conclusion of this study shows that the integration of theological teachings in Christian education can strengthen the foundation of Alpha generation morality, by emphasising biblical values in their digital life. Such as the paradigm of the concept of Christian morality and ethics in the digital context and the existence of morality issues in the digital world for the alpha generation that must be resolved. So that Christianity has an educational role in shaping morality in the digital world, which is based on theology-based Christian education for ethical formation in the digital era. Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam kehidupan sosial dan budaya serta spiritualitas, khususnya bagi generasi Alpha yang tumbuh dalam era digital dan globalisasi internet of thinks. Pengaruh media sosial, konten digital, dan interaksi virtual dalam gawai telah memengaruhi pola pikir dan perilaku moral mereka. Maka itu pendidikan Kristen, yang seharusnya membentuk karakter dan moralitas berdasarkan ajaran Kristus, dihadapkan pada tantangan besar dalam mengajarkan nilai-nilai etika di tengah pesatnya perkembangan dunia maya yang seringkali bertentangan dengan prinsip moral dan nilai kekristenan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran pendidikan Kristen dalam membentuk moralitas generasi Alpha di dunia digital, dengan fokus pada integrasi teologi dalam pengajaran etis teologis yang relevan. Menggunkan metode kualitatif deskritif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi ajaran teologi dalam pendidikan Kristen dapat memperkuat dasar moralitas generasi Alpha, dengan menekankan nilai-nilai alkitabiah dalam kehidupan digital mereka. Moralitas dan etika kristen dalam konteks digital dan adanya persoalan moralitas dalam dunia digital bagi generasi alpha yang harus diselesaikan. Sehingga kekristenan memiliki peran pendidikan dalam membentuk moralitas di dunia digital, yang mana ini didasarkan pada pendidikan Kristen berbasis teologi untuk pembentukan etika di era digital.

Abstract

This research investigates the importance of Christian Religious Education in the ethical development of adolescents in a digital age characterized by many challenges and opportunities. The context of this issue relates to the rapid influence of technological advancements on adolescents' learning and interaction modalities. This research aims to examine the way Christian religious education instills moral principles such as honesty, compassion, and integrity to adolescents amidst the temptations presented by the digital landscape. The methodology used was qualitative, incorporating analysis of data collected from observations, interviews, and literature reviews. Findings show that Christian religious education has proven to be effective in conveying moral values through the incorporation of digital curriculum, thus fostering responsible and integrative individuals among adolescents. Nevertheless, significant challenges arise in adapting Christian religious education to align with the needs of adolescents in the digital age to ensure its continued relevance. Abstract

Christian leadership with integrity is urgently needed in a world full of banality. Banality, or apathy towards morality and ethics, can plunge Christian leaders into irresponsible and harmful actions. This manuscript discusses strategies to build Christian leaders with integrity by applying biblical values and morality. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, it can be concluded that, first, the church must build a Christian leadership paradigm that is different from the banality of the world, by applying biblical values to build the character and morality of leaders with integrity so that it can inspire holy and meaningful Christian leadership. Thus, Christian leaders are able to be inspiring role models in leadership, build communities with strong spiritual organizations, and serve with sincere integrity and humility that respects others.AbstrakKepemimpinan Kristen yang berintegritas sangat dibutuhkan dalam dunia yang penuh dengan banalitas. Banalitas, atau sikap apatis terhadap moralitas dan etika, dapat menjerumuskan pemimpin Kristen ke dalam tindakan yang tidak bertanggung jawab dan merugikan. Artikel ini membahas strategi membangun pemimpin Kristen yang berintegritas dengan menerapkan nilai dan moralitas Alkitab. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskritif dengan pendekatan studi literature maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa, pertama gereja harus membangun paradigma kepemimpinan Kristiani yang berbeda dari banalitas dunia, dengan menerapkan nilai-nilai Alkitab untuk membangun karakter dan moralitas pemimpin yang berintegritas  sehingga dapat menginspirasi kepemimpinan Kristen yang kudus dan bermakna. Dengan demikian, mereka para pemimpin Kristen mampu menjadi teladan yang menginspirasi dalam kepemimpinan, membangun komunitas yang organisasi kerohanian yang kuat, dan melayani dengan integritas yang tulus dengan kerendahan hati yang menghargai sesamanya.
