Abstract

This study investigates the correlation between the intensity of playing Mobile Legends and vocabulary development among senior high school students. The growing adoption of digital games for educational purposes—particularly in language learning—necessitates research into their integration within structured learning environments. Utilizing a quantitative correlational design, the study involved 25 purposively selected students from SMA Labschool Untad Palu who actively participated in a Mobile Legends extracurricular program. Data were collected through a 15-item Likert-scale questionnaire measuring gameplay intensity and a 30-item vocabulary test targeting common nouns, verbs, and adjectives derived from gameplay contexts. The questionnaire demonstrated strong internal consistency (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.882), and all items were deemed valid. Results from the Pearson Product-Moment correlation analysis indicated a moderate, statistically significant relationship between gameplay intensity and vocabulary acquisition (r = 0.538, p = 0.005). These findings suggest that structured digital gameplay in English-language environments can support incidental vocabulary learning and serve as an effective pedagogical supplement to conventional instruction.

Abstract

Desa Uwedikan adalah salah satu desa yang ada di Kecamatan Luwuk Timur Kabupaten Banggai, merupakan desa pesisir yang mempunyai luas lautan lebih luas dari pada darat. Pada umumnya masyarakat pesisir mempunyai kebiasaan membuang sampah ke laut sehingga sanitasi lingkungan kurang sehat, padahal sampah bisa diolah menjadi produk yang benilai ekonomis berupa pupuk organik. Disamping itu pupuk organik diperlukan petani, karena pupuk kimia sangat langka dan harganya mahal. Dengan demikan pengolahan sampah menjadi pupuk organik mempunyai tujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat dalam pemeliharaan lingkungan yang sehat dan memberdayakan masyarakat dalam mengolah sampah menjadi pupuk organik sebagai alternatif pengganti pupuk kimia yang langka dan mahal. Metode pembuatan pupuk organik yaitu penjelasan teori 25 % dan praktek pengeporasikan mesin pencacah rumput/sampah serta praktek pembuatan pupuk orgnik berbasis EM4. Pembuatan pupuk organik dinyatakan berhasil bila menghasilkan panas setelah ditutup tarpal 8 jam, menghasilkan bau sedap dan warna pupuk hitam kecoklatan. Bila panasnya tinggi tumpukan pupuk dibalik untuk menormalkan kembali suhu panasnya. Pupuk organik ini sudah bisa dipakai bila sudah tidak suhunya tidak panas lagi.

Abstract

The utilization of microorganisms that can accelerate the composting process is the utilization of decomposing bacteria from decomposer products that are useful for accelerating the decomposition process of organic materials. This study aims to obtain bacterial isolates that can function as agricultural waste decomposers from bamboo rhizosphere from Sidrap Regency. This study consists of 4 stages, namely (i) Sampling in the bamboo plant rhizosphere, (ii) Isolation of rhizosphere soil samples, (iii) Identification of microorganism morphology, (iv), and the last stage is testing the ability to degrade cellulose (cellulolytic). The study results showed that in Sidrap Regency, there were 4 sampling points, namely at S 030 57 '25.4 "and E 1190 40'44. 9" and S 03056'09.7 "and E 1190 41'24.9". There, 52 isolates were successfully isolated from the four places. Isolates SDR1A101B and SDR1A107B have the best ability to degrade and decompose cellulose.

Abstract

In an effort to increase sales of good consumables such as perfume, it requires a strategy that is carried out by increasing advertising and promotion through digital marketing such as on social media Instagram which plays an important role in attracting the attention of consumers who currently buy more online. Strategies developed in increasing sales such as segmenting, targeting, positioning which in this important case is to maintain good relationships betweencustomers and sellers, in addition to the physical efficiency factor as a form of consequence that must be followed during the sales increase process takes place. SWOT analysis is needed to be able to see the business environment where the marketing mix plays an important role in overcoming the obstacles that occur. As a strategy in increasing sales of Consumables Good Premium Bekasi by segmenting, targeting, positioning, it can overcome obstacles where the advertisements displayed are less attractive to customers so that the choice of advertising and promotion designs must be made more as an option to communicate well with customers.

Abstract

Objective of the research aims to find out find out whether or not using YouTube video tutorial is effective in improve tenth grade students’ skill in writing procedure text at MAN 2 Kota Palu. Many students have problems achieving this skill for various reasons: limited understanding, lack of vocabulary, low creativity of the students. This research used a quantitative method and quasi-experimental as the research design. The data was collected by taking pre-test and post-test. This study used purposive sampling with the sample was XA as the control group and XB as the experimental group. Based on the result, the post test of experimental class was 75.72, it was lower than control group was 75.76. Therefore, Then, the result of statistical hypothesis testing by using Mann-whitney U showed that 0.857 > 0.05). It means that there was not a significant distinction between the groups. This research conclude that YouTube video tutorials was not effective in improving students’ skill in writing procedure text among tenth grade students at MAN 2 Kota Palu. The suggestions of the research are knowing students' learning style, providing clear guidance, and exploring potential alternatives media.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine the effectiveness of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach to improve writing skill of the tenth grade students at MAN Insan Cendekia Kota Palu. The research employs pre- experimental research design. The population of this research is Grade X students at MAN Insan Cendekia Kota Palu, and the sample is Grade X Al-Qolam, consisting of 20 students. The researcher employs purposive sampling technique and takes one-group pre-test and post-test. The pre-test is administered to assess the student’s writing ability through the CTL Approach and to determine whether the class is equal or not in terms of their writing achievement before the treatment is given, and the post-test is used to administer students’ writing skill achievement after receiving the treatment. The result of the data analysis indicates that there is a significant difference in the students’ achievement in pre-test and post-test. It shows that the mean score of pre-test is ( 60.59) and the mean score of post-test is (76.33). The sig value (Asymp. 2-tailed) is 0.000, which is smaller than the p-value = 0.05, indicating that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Thus, the contextual teaching and learning approach is effective in improving the writing skill of grade X students at MAN Insan Cendekia Kota Palu.

Abstract

Kecelakaan kerja merupakan masalah serius di sektor industri, termasuk di pabrik kelapa sawit. Penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) adalah salah satu langkah penting dalam mencegah kecelakaan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku penggunaan APD berdasarkan Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), yang mencakup sikap, norma subjektif, kontrol perilaku, dan niat terkait kecelakaan kerja di PT Karya Tanah Subur. Metode yang dipakai dalam observasi ini adalah deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner. Populasi riset ini terdiri dari seluruh pekerja di PT KTS, yang berjumlah 109 orang, dengan sampel sebanyak 84 pekerja. Untuk menganalisis kepatuhan karyawan terhadap penggunaan APD, peneliti menghubungkan sikap, norma subjektif, kontrol perilaku, dan niat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan terhadap penggunaan APD, dengan nilai p untuk sikap (0,000), norma subjektif (0,002), kontrol perilaku (0,005), dan niat (0,793). Kesimpulan dari risset hasil ialah terpakai ikatan yang relevan antara perilaku keselamatan kerja dan pemakaian APD. Peneliti menyarankan agar setiap karyawan mematuhi peraturan yang berlaku di PT KTS untuk mengurangi kecelakaan kerja, terutama dengan meningkatkan niat untuk bekerja dengan sungguh-sungguh dan mematuhi peraturan, seperti penggunaan APD, guna mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan kerja

Abstract

Bank Syariah Indonesia customers in Jambi Province have great potential in using BSI Mobile. However, the use of BSI Mobile is not yet optimal. It is indicated that BSI customers in Jambi Province are hampered by the lack of branch offices in every district/city in Jambi Province. This has hampered customers' interest in using BSI Mobile. This study aims to evaluate the impact of perceived ease of use, perceived benefits, perceived risk, service quality, and sharia compliance on the interest in using BSI Mobile Bank Syariah Indonesia in Jambi Province. Using quantitative methodology, this research involved 272 respondents/customers and utilized the SmartPLS analysis technique. In this study, interest in using BSI Mobile is negatively and significantly influenced by risk perception, but positively and significantly influenced by perceived usefulness, sharia compliance, service quality, and ease of use. The findings of this study imply that customers are more interested in utilizing BSI Mobile when companies provide higher quality services. This research recommends that Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) in Jambi Province improve the features on BSI Mobile and provide discounts or cashback on payments/transactions through the use of BSI Mobile. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of financial compensation and workstress on employee performance moderated by employee work motivation. This study appliesquantitative research that measures the variables of financial compensation, work stress,employee performance, and work motivation using a questionnaire through a Likert scalescoring of 1-5. This study involved a population of 32 employees. The sampling techniqueused in this study was saturated sampling. Data collection using a questionnaire and dataanalysis using Moderate Regression Analysis (MRA). The results of the study indicate thatFinancial Compensation has an effect and is significant on employee performance. Theaspect that has the most effect on financial compensation on employee performance is thecompensation applied by the company and the weakest is the applicable regulations. Workstress has a negative and significant effect on employee performance. The aspect that has themost effect on work stress is physical demands and the weakest is task demands. Abstract

The study investigates the use of affixes in the derivation process from nouns to verbs in sentences produced by EFL students at Tadulako University. This research employed a descriptive quantitative method, with data collected through written tests and questionnaires from 136 fifth-semester students. The data were analyzed using frequency distribution and descriptive statistics. From the written test, a total of 1.370 affixation errors were identified across seven targeted affixes. The prefix de- had the highest number of errors, accounting for 25% of the total. The questionnaire consisted of 50 items and was designed to measure five key variables: semantic clarity, parsing ability, affix frequency, productivity, and pars ability. The responses indicated that 78% of students found affixation confusing due to a lack of semantic transparency, while 65% admitted difficulty in segmenting complex words into base and affix. The reliability test of the questionnaire showed a high Cronbach's Alpha score of 0.988, confirming its internal consistency. The findings revealed that the prefix de- was the most difficult affix for students, with the highest error rate in the noun-to-verb derivation process. Several factors influenced students' difficulties, including semantic aspects, affix frequency, the ability to analyze word structure, affix productivity, and the ease of breaking words into their morphemes. This study highlights the importance of enhancing morphological awareness among EFL students, particularly in applying the derivational process as part of more effective English language learning. This recommendation is based on the observation that students’ limited familiarity with certain affixes, combined with insufficient explicit instruction in morphology, directly impacts their writing proficiency. Therefore, integrating morphological instruction into ELT—through focused affix exercises, contextual application, and parsing training—can significantly enhance students’ vocabulary growth, grammatical accuracy, and confidence in academic writing.
