Abstract

Human labor is still widely used by Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, especially those in the food processing sector, such as the tofu industry. Manual labor can place significant physical and mental demands on workers, especially when the number of workers is not proportional to the demands of the tasks assigned. Excessive workload in these aspects may result in fatigue and decreased productivity. This study aims to assess both physical and mental workloads in the production workstation by identifying workload intensity, including mental and physical aspects experienced by workers. The workloads with the greatest levels will be determined for more research and solutions. Cardiovascular Load (CVL) is used to measure physical workload, and National Aeronautical and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) is used to assess mental workload. These methods have identified varying degrees of physical and mental strain across different job roles. The results show that the cooking and filtering phases are key areas that demand particular focus. Workers in the cooking and filtering areas had respective CVL values of 30.60% and 30.24%, while the mental workloads assessed using the NASA-TLX reached 80.33 and 81.33.

Abstract

The rapid growth of mobile banking services in Indonesia demands a deeper understanding of user behavior, especially in terms of time and transaction patterns. However, the challenge is how to effectively cluster users based on their time habits in making transactions, so that service strategies can be tailored accordingly. To address this issue, this study applies the Self-Organizing Maps (SOM) method to cluster users based on transaction time features, such as the number of transactions in the morning, afternoon, evening, night, and the division between weekdays and weekends. The dataset used includes 87,361 mobile banking users throughout 2023. The results showed that the SOM method was able to form nine different user behavior clusters, with the largest cluster being Early User (Weekday) consisting of 32,324 users (37.0%). Overall, the Early User (Weekday) segment covers about 60.3% of the user population. Meanwhile, there are also minority segments such as Night Owl (Weekday) (5.9%) and Early User (Weekend) (2.7%) that show unique behavior patterns. The model performance evaluation resulted in a Quantization Error (QE) value of 0.339 and Topographic Error (TE) of 0.066, both on validation data and test data, indicating that the clustering results are quite accurate and the data mapping topology is well maintained. This research contributes to the understanding of mobile banking user behavior segmentation and can be used as a basis for a more adaptive and personalized time-based service strategy.

Abstract

Krueng Sabee is one of the rivers located in Krueng Sabee District, Aceh Jaya Regency. Krueng Sabee has a main river with a length of 33.27 km and a watershed area of 380.90 km2 and an average river elevation of 0.4%. Krueng Rusi and Krueng Cangeh divide the Krueng Sabee River flow in the upstream. Krueng Sabee often overflows which causes flooding around its flow area. To determine the design flood discharge for the Return Period (PU) of 2.5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 years that occurred in Krueng Sabe using the HSS Nakayasu and HSS Synder Methods is the main objective of this study. Rainfall data used from station A in Pulo Raya Village and station B in Pante Kuyun Village. The flood discharge for Return Period (PU) 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 is 1716.66 m³/sec, 1985.10 m³/sec, 2162.83 m³/sec, 2387.39 m³/sec, 2553.99 m³/sec and 2719.36 m³/sec is the result of the Nakayasu HSS Method analysis. The Snyder HSS method, obtains the design flood discharge values for various Return Periods (PU) as follows: 2 years 14,479.83 m³/s, 5 years 16,746.64 m³/s, 10 years 18,247.47 m³/s, 25 years 20,143.77 m³/s, 50 years, 21,550.55 m³/s Return Period 100 years 22,946.95 m³/s. It was found that the Snyder Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (HSS) method produces a larger flood discharge compared to the Nakayasu HSS.

Abstract

Research on analysis of macroalgae community structure on different substrates in Sabang waters to identify, analyzing diversity, abundance, and important value index. The data collection method was carried out by purposive sampling using a plot of 1x1 m2 with 10 plots per transect. Sampling was carried out at three stations, namely Station I on Pasir Putih with a medium fine sand substrate, Station II at Anoi Itam with a gravel sand substrate, and Station III on Rubiah Island with a fine sandy clay substrate. Data were analyzed using the Importance Value Index (IVI) and the Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index. The environmental parameters at each station that were measured were substrate particles, temperature, brightness, depth, and current velocity, while the chemical parameters were salinity, pH, COD, phosphate, and nitrate. The results of the study found 2615 macroalgae individuals consisting of three divisions. Chlorophyta division consists of 9 species, Rhodophyta was 7 species, and Phaeophyta was 1 species (Dyctyota dichotoma). The highest Important Value Index at each research station consisted of the Chlorophyta division with two species, namely Dictyosphaeria cavernosa (IVI = 59.18) and Halimeda opuntia (IVI = 54.15). The value of the diversity index (H') of macroalgae in Sabang waters is moderate, namely in Pasir Putih as much as 2.18, Anoi Itam and Rubiah Island as much as 2.01, and 1.97, respectively. The study concluded that the macroalgae community structure in Sabang waters exhibits moderate species diversity, with the Chlorophyta division, particularly Dictyosphaeria cavernosa and Halimeda opuntia, showing the highest importance value indices across different substrates.

Abstract

Background: Asphyxia is one of the causes of neonatal death. The causes of neonatal asphyxia consist of: maternal factors, placental factors, fetal factors and delivery factors. Research Objectives: To determine the determinants of neonatal asphyxia at the Aceh government Mother and Child Hospital (RSIA). Research Methods: This research design uses a case control study with a retrospective approach. The population in this study were all newborns registered in the NICU room register at the Aceh Government Mother and Child Hospital (RSIA) for 2019-2022. The case sample in the case sampling technique was total sampling with a total of 186 newborns who experienced asphyxia. Results: The results of statistical tests showed that maternal age, amniotic fluid mixed with meconium, prolonged labour, and type of delivery with a p value <0.05, which means that there is a relationship with the incidence of asphyxia in newborns. The results of statistical tests on breech position and placenta previa showed a p value > 0.05, which means that there was no association with the incidence of asphyxia in newborns. The most influential factor with the incidence of asphyxia was amniotic fluid mixed with meconium with an OR value of 3.798. Conclusion: There is a need to increase the ability of midwives to provide delivery services and assistance, especially in cases of amniotic fluid mixed with meconium through education and training both internally and externally through seminars or special training.
