The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out by collecting all information, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. Theories that support the research are management theory, and integrated quality management theory. The results of the study indicate that in general both elementary schools have implemented education management standards quite effectively, educational units are increasingly competitive, the quality of graduates has improved with quality academic services. In particular, indicators in the implementation of education management are in accordance with applicable standards, including: (1) planning carried out by formulating vision and mission, setting goals and school curriculum; (2) organizing, namely the establishment of an organizational structure, making the division of tasks for educators and education staff, providing infrastructure; (3) program of activities according to procedures; (4) evaluation, namely by conducting program effectiveness, follow-up plans and stakeholder satisfaction levels; (5) problems, including human resources in providing academic services, infrastructure facilities for supporting the academic service process, budget for academic service activities (6) solutions include, human resource problem solutions, budgets and infrastructure. These indicators have been implemented by both elementary schools, but in general they lack a complete procedure, which is not based on the results of problem identification and optimization of academic services, but tends to be based on the judgment of academic service providers in elementary schools.

Abstract

Research by Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, Technology in 2020-2021 found a significant decrease of learning outcomes in the first grade of elementary school students as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Early Childhood Education as the foundation phase plays a crucial role in the learning recovery, especially literacy. This study explores and analyzes the experiences of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers in applying balanced literacy approach as an effort to strengthen learning. This research refers to the literary processing theory by Clay (Ronning, 2020: 17) regarding the acquisition of literacy skills in early childhood. The method used is qualitative phenomenology with 10 teachers from several regions of Indonesia as informants. The analysis was about the experience of teachers applying balanced literacy before and during the pandemic, the obstacles faced, and the solutions carried out. These findings become the basis for designing the product of this study, namely a conceptual model of early literacy strengthening program with balanced literacy in PAUD. This model is expected to be a contextual alternative solution for strengthening effective literacy in the post-pandemic period and minimizing the impact of learning loss in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the extent of the use of Android technology in translating English texts. The researcher employed a case study approach in this research. A case study is one of the approaches within the qualitative research paradigm. The aim is to describe and examine the effectiveness of using Android technology in translating words from the source language into the target language, as well as the factors that motivate students to use it. Three methods were used to collect the research data, namely classroom observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The research sample consisted of second-grade students of Putra Gununghalu Vocational School, totaling 100 students in the 2025–2026 academic year. The results of the study show that students rarely bring English dictionaries when attending translation classes. One of the reasons is the availability of Android technology, which is easy to use, convenient, practical, and easy to carry in a pocket. When students have difficulty finding the meaning of a word, they simply type the word on their mobile phones by accessing Google Translate. Students also trust the accuracy of the meanings obtained through mobile access. Therefore, they consistently use it whenever they encounter difficulties in finding word meanings. The translation method used by students is still word-for-word translation. This is also related to language structure. In other words, students tend to follow the structure of the source language.

Abstract

The possible causes of situation-specific speaking anxiety include fear of making mistakes, lack of confidence, and anxiety about speaking in front of peers or the teacher. Teachers need to find effective strategies to help students reduce speaking anxiety. This study employed qualitative research with a case study method. The data was collected through observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The participants were 18 students from the 10th grade. Based on the research results, the Think-Pair-Share strategy can be used as one of the methods to reduce situation-specific speaking anxiety. The use of this strategy as a teaching method has helped students reduce their anxiety and therefore improve their speaking ability. Students' responses showed that this strategy can: (1) Increase self-confidence, (2) Reduce anxiety, (3) Improve oral communication skills, (4) Provide enjoyable activities, and (5) Increase students' motivation to speak English in class.

Abstract

This study investigates the correlation between students’ reference book reading comprehension and their oral presentation skills when delivering educational content through YouTube. Despite extensive research on language skills development, the specific relationship between academic reading comprehension and digital presentation capabilities remains underexplored. Using an explanatory correlational design, this study assessed 7th-semester English Education students at Universitas Islam Nusantara through reading comprehension tests, YouTube presentation evaluations, and perception questionaires. Result revealed a strong positive correlation (r = 0.712, p = 0.009) between reference book comprehension and presentations effectiveness, particularly in content structure, clarity, and delivery confidence. Regression analysis demonstrated that reading comprehension activities significantly predicts oral presentations performance, suggesting that integrated pedagogical approaches combining reading comprehension activities with digital presentation practice could enhance students’ communication competencies. These findings contribute to our understanding of digital literacy development in language education and highlight the potential of YouTube as a platform for self-assessment and skills enhancement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the management of Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) utilization as a strategy for enhancing the quality of learning in junior high schools. A qualitative approach employing a case study method was adopted at SMPN 1 Bojongsoang and SMPN 1 Dayeuhkolot, both of which have implemented IFP in their learning processes. Data were collected through observations and document analysis. The findings reveal that the management of IFP utilization in both schools has been implemented effectively and has contributed positively to improving learning quality, particularly in increasing student engagement and strengthening students’ digital literacy competencies. The use of IFP has enabled more interactive, student-centered, and technology-enhanced learning experiences. However, the optimization of IFP utilization still requires greater support in terms of infrastructure development and the continuous enhancement of teachers’ digital competencies. Therefore, this study recommends the implementation of sustainable professional development programs and the strengthening of school management practices in managing IFP utilization, thereby maximizing the digitalization of learning and supporting the improvement of educational quality in the twenty-first century.
