Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Cooperative Learning model, specifically the Jigsaw type, in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) lessons for Grade X TKJ 2 at SMK YADIKA Tanjungsari, Sumedang Regency, during the 2024/2025 academic year. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results reveal that the jigsaw model enhances student engagement through active group discussions, peer teaching, and collaborative learning. Key supporting factors include student enthusiasm and the teacher’s role as an active facilitator. However, several challenges emerged, such as limited class time, the ineffectiveness of online learning, and students’ varying abilities in comprehending and delivering material. In conclusion, the Jigsaw-type Cooperative Learning model proves effective in improving the quality of PAI instruction, although further strategies are required to optimize its application, particularly in blended learning contexts.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning Jigsaw dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di kelas X TKJ 2 SMK YADIKA Tanjungsari Kabupaten Sumedang pada Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model jigsaw mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran melalui kegiatan diskusi kelompok yang aktif, penyampaian materi oleh siswa, serta kerja sama antaranggota kelompok. Faktor pendukung utama adalah antusiasme siswa dan peran aktif guru sebagai fasilitator. Sementara itu, hambatan yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan waktu, pembelajaran daring yang kurang efektif, serta variasi kemampuan siswa dalam memahami dan menyampaikan materi. Kesimpulannya, model Cooperative Learning Jigsaw efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PAI, namun diperlukan strategi lanjutan untuk mengoptimalkan implementasinya, terutama dalam konteks blended learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) instruction at SMK Mahaputra Cerdas Utama. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results indicate that the application of PBL is carried out in a structured and contextual manner by presenting real-life problems that are closely related to students’ daily lives. This model not only enhances students’ religious understanding but also contributes to the development of positive character traits such as responsibility, empathy, and discipline. Despite facing some technical challenges, PBL has proven to offer a more engaging and meaningful learning experience.

Abstract

The portfolio-based learning model offers a student-centered authentic assessment approach, allowing educators to evaluate learning development holistically. This paper examines the implementation of portfolio-based learning models in the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects in elementary schools, supported by theoretical foundations from constructivism, Ausubel's meaningful learning theory, and authentic assessment theory. Through systematic collection and reflection on students' work, portfolios serve as formative and summative tools that empower students to reflect on their Islamic learning, internalize Islamic values, and develop deep understanding. This paper discusses the theoretical relevance, practical implementation steps, benefits, and challenges and solutions in adopting this model to improve the quality of PAI learning at the primary level.ABSTRAKModel pembelajaran berbasis portofolio menawarkan pendekatan penilaian autentik yang berpusat pada siswa, memungkinkan pendidik untuk mengevaluasi perkembangan belajar secara holistik. Makalah ini mengkaji implementasi model pembelajaran berbasis portofolio dalam konteks mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di Sekolah Dasar, didukung oleh landasan teoritis dari konstruktivisme, teori belajar bermakna Ausubel, dan teori penilaian autentik. Melalui pengumpulan sistematis dan refleksi terhadap hasil karya siswa, portofolio berfungsi sebagai alat formatif dan sumatif yang memberdayakan siswa untuk merefleksikan pembelajaran PAI mereka, menginternalisasi nilai-nilai Islam, dan mengembangkan pemahaman yang mendalam. Makalah ini membahas relevansi teoritis, langkah-langkah implementasi praktis, manfaat, serta tantangan dan solusi dalam mengadopsi model ini untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PAI di tingkat dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to apply the Discovery Learning model to students of Ciawigede Elementary School to improve problem-solving skills in Islamic Religious Education learning. The method used is classroom action research with a qualitative descriptive approach using two cycles, where each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' problem-solving skills before and after the application of this learning model. The average student score increased from 74.3 in cycle I to 79.6 in cycle II, with the percentage of classical learning completion increasing from 86% to 89.66%. This study concludes that the Discovery Learning model is effective in improving student activity and learning outcomes, as well as encouraging students to be more active and creative in the learning process.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning pada siswa SD Negeri Ciawigede untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran PAI. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan dua siklus, di mana setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa sebelum dan setelah penerapan model pembelajaran ini. Rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat dari 74,3 pada siklus I menjadi 79,6 pada siklus II, dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal meningkat dari 86% menjadi 89,66%. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model Discovery Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa, serta mendorong siswa untuk lebih aktif dan kreatif dalam proses pembelajaran.
