Abstract

This research sets the goal to identify and document the resources supporting the success of the 2013 curriculum at SMKN 2 Sinjai and to question these contributions based on empirical facts. There are many factors and even cases related to various supporting resources, but in different contexts and places. Qualitative data were collected descriptively-exploratively as an option to see events in objects. The criteria for contributing informants were principals, related teachers and other educators and were selected by purposive sampling. Interview, observation and document review techniques were combined to obtain data and ensured validity through triangulation techniques. The collected data was then analyzed by identified, grouped, verified, synthesized, and compared. Interpretive analysis reveals that various factors and resources have contributed to the success of the learning curriculum such as representative facilities and infrastructure, managerial principals, resource competence and educator collaboration, educator learning management, utilization of learning resources, and use of learning strategies and models. These findings can contribute and have implications for the management of educational curriculum implementation and in different educational institutions.

Abstract

Saat ini pemuda menjadi salah satu bagian dalam target pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Hal ini sesuai dengan prinsip inklusivitas SDGs bahwa tidak ada satupun yang tertinggal. Maka dari itu, posisi pemuda diharapkan tidak hanya sebagai penerima manfaat, tetapi dapat dioptimalkan sebagai pelaku pembangunan. Sifat pemuda yang memiliki kemauan belajar yang besar, membuat pemuda berpotensi dalam mendukung salah satu fokus SDGs yakni Pendidikan yang berkualitas. Jika dibekali dengan keterampilan dan kemampuan yang baik, pemuda bisa menjadi kunci dalam kesuksesan pencapaian SDGs. Atas dasar tersebut, pemuda di Kabupaten Sinjai berinisiatif untuk menjadi bagian dalam pencapaian pendidikan yang berkualitas dengan membentuk Forum Taman Baca Masyarakat (FTBM). Rumusan masalah serta tujuan dalam penelitian ini, yakni ingin mengetahui kontribusi Pemuda melalui FTBM Kabupaten Sinjai dalam mewujudkan pendidikan berkualitas yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yakni FTBM La Topa Sinjai yang berada di Kecamatan Sinjai Borong. Teknik pengumpulan datanya berupa observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Data yang dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis dengan mengacu pada teori Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, serta verifikasi dan simpulan. Hasil penelitian dan analisis data diperoleh bahwa FTBM La Topa yang dikoordinasi oleh seorang mahasiswi memiliki kontribusi yang besar terhadap pembelajaran, utamanya literasi baca dan hitung pada anak-anak di sekitar daerah Borong. Selain itu, FTBM ini fokus terhadap pemberian edukasi guna memberantas berita hoax yang semakin tidak terbendung. Keberadaan FTBM La Topa memberikan sumbangsih dalam mewujudkan pendidikan yang berkulitas.

Abstract

This research aims to discover the causes of the language learners of English Education study program in Islamic Institute of Muhammadiyah Sinjai procrastination behaviour. This research is categorized as a phenomenological research by using qualitative approach. The subject of this research is the students of English Education Study Program of IAI Muhammadiyah Sinjai. The techniques of data collection used are observation, interview, and documentation and the technique of data analysis is using Miles and Huberman theory. The result shows that the students are intended to do the academic procrastination behaviour which caused by: (1) delay in starting and completing task at hand, (2) delay in doing assignments, (3) time gap between planned and actual performance, and (4) doing other activities that are more fun than doing the task that must be done. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berfokus pada pengajaran santri di Madrasah Diniyah Desa Latelangg Kabupaten Bone. Hal tersebut berfokus pada cara membaca dan menulis Al-Qur'an. Santri Madrasah Diniyah di Desa Latellang akan mendapatkan manfaat dari pengabdian yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan menulis Alquran. Persyaratan untuk bisa membaca Al-Qur'an menjadi semakin umum. Alhasil, santri Madrasah diniyah di Desa Latelangg mendapat pelajaran membaca dan menulis Al-Qur'an melalui program pelatihan dan pengajaran. Dengan adanya pelatihan dan pengajaran ini diharapkan para siswi Madrasah Diniyah Desa Latellang dapat lebih mampu membaca dan menulis Al-Qur'an. Tulisan ini mencoba menjelaskan bagaimana pembelajaran membaca dan menulis Al-Qur'an dikembangkan di Madrasah Diniyah di Desa Latelangg. Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of the application of the Scrabble game in learning English to know the increase in the vocabulary of the Al-Irsyad Quran House Lappa using the Scrabble game. The researchers use the quantitative methods, through techniques random sampling and focused on one group. The type of research is pre-experimental design. Through the application of pre-test and post-test designs. The instrument used in this research is a short objective test with a total of 10 items that have been randomized through content validity because the preparation of the instrument is adjusted to the material taught to students. Students experienced a significant increase in the vocabulary category as evidenced before the pretest, more students were included in the Enough category as many as 11 students or 44%, while in Excellent and Very good categories, there were only 2 students each who proved their vocabulary mastery was still low. After applying the Scrabble game, students experienced an increase, it can be seen in the Insufficient category that there were no more students who got a score of 60. This increased in the Excellent and Very Good categories which initially only 2 students, after the post-test the Excellent category was 11 students or (44% ) funds in the Very Good category were 7 students (28%) of 25 students.

Abstract

This community service program aims to introduce English vocabulary learning among early childhood or children in the Kindergarten/TPA of Balle Village. The teaching method used in this activity is through the Fun English Learning method, which means teaching English to children who have a fun English learning concept. It includes learning activities using songs and games. The results of this program show that the participants have started to have fun learning English and that students' vocabulary and understanding of English vocabulary have increased compared to the beginning of the meeting. Even though there are still mistakes, they have started to be confident and don't feel ashamed.

Abstract

English learning is no longer taught as a local content program at UPT SD Inpres 6/80 Latellang because the curriculum that originally applied KTSP was changed to the 2013 curriculum. English subjects were not removed from the 2013 curriculum but are also not required in every elementary school. This caused the children at UPT SD Inpres 6/80 Latellang to be unfamiliar with English. The method of implementing this English training uses a service learning method assisted by ATK media and speakers. The results show that most students feel interested in teaching English through songs. This is evidenced by the increased memory related to the material being taught and the student’s interest in learning English.

Abstract

The use of AI in language education has been widely discussed especially in identifying the teachers’ ability in utilizing AI in language teaching as well as how teachers perceive the utilization of AI are significant. To address these needs, the researchers used a TPACK survey instrument and semi-structured interview to assess 6 English teachers' ability to use AIEd at Islamic University of Ahmad Dahlan. Findings show that there are several challenges faced by the users of AIEd in English language courses such as (1) limited technological knowledge, (2) lack of training, (3) limited access to technological resources, (4) student skill levels, (5) policy and administrative constraints, as well as (6) curriculum changes and needs. Overall, the application of AIEd in language teaching in UIAD has the potential to significantly enhance learning outcomes for English learners by providing personalized, adaptive, and engaging learning experiences supported by data-driven insights and continuous improvement.

Abstract

This study analyzes free morphemes and bound morphemes in the lyrics of the song "Best Part" by Daniel Caesar and H.E.R. Using a literature review approach, the main data were taken from the official lyrics obtained from the Genius website, and secondary sources such as books and journals relevant to morphological theory and lyric analysis. The results show that the lyrics of "Best Part" contain various free morphemes, including nouns, verbs, adjectives, conjunctions, prepositions, articles, and pronouns. Additionally, bound morphemes in the form of suffixes were also found. These findings provide insights into how linguistic elements play a role in creating meaning and conveying messages through song lyrics.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to find out whether or not mind map through picture canimproves students’ vocabulary mastery. To analyze the data, a pre-experimentaldescriptive quantitative design was employed. It involves seventh graders class in aschool at Libureng in academic year 2010/2011 with number of students, 30 students(15 males and 15 females). In collecting the data, the present study used pre-test andpost-test as the instrument then calculated them by using normality, validity, reliability,gain test and t-test. The findings show that the value of t-obtained was 11,82 and thevalue of t-table at significance level of 5% was 2,045 with the degree of freedom(df=29). The result of t-obtained (11,82) indicates that H0 is rejected and consequentlythe H1 is accepted. It means that the use of mind map method can improves students’vocabulary mastery. The students claim that this method offers interesting learning,challenge creativity, and serves new simple method to memorize some vocabularies. So,it is recommended for further researcher to conduct a research for other skills andother methods.
