Abstract

Puskesmas as primary health care and development agent needs to be improved, especially in coastal settlement. This improvement depends on professional behavior of its health care workers. The aim of this research is to discover the professional behavior of health-care workers of Selat Baru community health care (Puskesmas), Bengkalis Regency, that was reflected by the six elements of professionalism. The design of this research uses exploration method with qualitative approaches on seven health-care workers of Puskesmas Batu Panjang, Bengkalis Regency, who were selected by using snowball sampling method. Data collection was done by interview and recorded with an audio recorder. The result of this research showed that all the informants possess altruism, accountability, excellence, duty, honor and integrity, and respect for other. In general, all of the Batu Panjang community health center (puskesmas) health-care workers possess the elements of professional behavior in carrying their duty, especially in providing service for the patients.Key word : professional behavior, health-care workers

Abstract

ABSTRACTVisum et Repertum (VeR) is a written report by a sworn doctor and has theauthority of what he/she has seen and and found in the evidence presented. The mostfrequent VeR requested by investigators is VeR of injury. A good quality of VeR isrequired in view of its important role in litigation of a criminal offense. This studywas aimed to understand the quality of VeR of injury in Kepulauan MerantiGeneral Hospital during 1 January 2010-31 December 2013. The research wasan observational study using descriptive retrospective design. This study usedHerkutanto’s scoring method towards 13 VeR substances. Samples of this studywere all data of VeR of injury that had fulfilled inclusion criteria. The total ofsamples were 70 samples of VeR. This study suggested that the highest number ofliving victims of injury cases was 27 victims (38,6%) in age group 22-40 years oldwith the most frequent sex was male as many as 43 victims (61,4%). The mostfrequent violence was blunt violence as many as 57 (81,4%) cases with the mostfrequent age group was 22-40 years old. The quality of VeR in preface was89,14% (good), in body part was 58,69% (medium) and in conclusion was39,28% (poor). In general, quality of VeR of injury in Kepulauan MerantiGeneral Hospital during 1 january 2010-31 december 2013 was 50% that couldbe categorized as medium quality.Keywords: Visum et Repertum, injury, quality of VeR of injury

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe behavior of the physicians while performing their profession regulated by The Indonesian Code of Medical Ethics or Kode Etik Kedokteran Indonesia (KODEKI). National Health Coverage (NHC) has been implemented since January 2014 which might change the performance of physicians. The aim of this research was to discover implementation of KODEKI values in National Health Coverage Era in Meranti Archipelago Regency that was reflected by the six values of KODEKI. The design of this research was using qualitative approaches with exploration method. Four of general practitioners who serve NHC patients in Meranti Archipelago Regency were selected by using snowball sampling method. Data were collected by doing depth interview recorded with an audio recorder. The result of this research showed that all of informants posses values of altruism, responsibility, idealism, accountability, scientific integrity and social integrity.Keyword : KODEKI values, National Health Coverage

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe most frequent Visum et repertum (VeR) requested by investigators is VeR of injury. This study was aimed to understand the quality of VeR of injury in Siak General Hospital during 1st January 2009-31st December 2013. The research was an observational study using descriptive retrospective design. This study used Herkutanto’s scoring method towards 13 VeR substances. Samples of this study were all data of VeR of injury. It had been gotten 78 VeR reports in Siak General Hospital during 1st January 2009-31st December 2013. Injury survivors most cases are in the age group 22-40 years old as many as 39 victims (50%). The overview of the living victims were most frequent male was 52 victims (66,7%) and the most frequent violence that were experienced by the victims were blunt violence was 72 VeR (92,3%)with the highest age group 22-40 years old. About 75,8% showed good quality in preliminary unit of VeR, 48% showed poor quality in reporting unit and about 53% showed medium quality in inference unit. It can be concluded that quality of VeR reports in Siak General Hospital during 1st January 2009-31st December 2013 was 52,97% which was mean it was medium quality.Keywords: Visum et Repertum, injury, quality of VeR of injury

Abstract

ABSTRACTMedical profession in Indonesia has a base on taking their profession responsibility to keep a good relation between doctor and patient named by Kode Etik Kedokteran Indonesia (KODEKI). On Universal Health Coverage Era, doctor as a part of health-care workers is needed to work loyal and professional by implementing KODEKI value. The aim of this study is to discover implementation of KODEKI value on Universal Health Coverage Era in Kampar Regency by assessing six values. This study uses design of exploration method by qualitative approach on three general practitioner in Kampar Regency who were picked by snowball sampling method. Data collection was done by interview and recorded with an audio recorder. The result of this study told that all informans are implementing altruism, responsibility, idealism of profession, accountability for patient, scientific integrity and social integrity on Universal Health Coverage Era could be seen by their statement and daily life as a doctor.Keywords: Kode Etik Kedokteran Indonesia, Universal Health Coverage

Abstract

ABSTRACTProblems in regard to smoking have not yet been solved up until now. One of the urgent problem is in junior high school, for it is the place to create and develop the next generation whom not only excell in academic-wise but health and environment oriented as well. Perception of this research is based upon students’ point of view toward smoking’s impact which is then interpretated according to their experiences and cognition. The students’s perspective on smoking habit is greatly influenced by their characteristic in school. This research was a descriptive study with cross-sectional approach. This study was done in July 2014 with 210 teachers ranging from 7 junior high schools as the respondents. The result showed 44 out of 210 respondents were found to be smokers.Key words: smoking, knowledge, perception.

Abstract

One of important aspect to support optimal health care improvement is the availability of health worker who have professional conduct, especially in coastal region. It is due to the low level of public health in the most of the coastal region in Indonesia. Needs of the professional health workers in the coastal region are in the health care center as the first strata health care centers area that become advance in providing services. Exploration method with qualitative approaches was applied as the research design. Seven health care workers of Puskesmas Sungai Sembilan Dumai City were selected as responden by using snowball sampling method. Data were collected by using interview method recorded with an audio recorder. The result of this research showed that all the informants possess altruism, accountability, excellence, honor and integrity. duty and respect for other.Key word : professional behavior, health-care workers

A good quality of VeR is required in view of its important role inlitigation of a criminal offense. This study was aimed to understand the quality ofVeR of injury in Pekanbaru Arifin Achmad General Hospital during 1 January2009-31 December 2013. The research was an observational study usingdescriptive retrospective design. This study used Herkutanto’s scoring methodtowards 13 VeR substances. Samples of this study were all data of VeR of injurythat had fulfilled inclusion criteria. The total of samples were 150 samples of VeR.This study suggested that the highest number of living victims of injury cases was61 victims (40,7%) in age group 22-40 years old with the most frequent sex wasmale as many as 120 victims (80%). The most frequent violence was bluntviolence as many as 125 (83,3%) cases with the most frequent age group was 22-40 years old. The quality of VeR in preface was 54,47% (medium), in body partwas 46,22% (poor) and in conclusion was 30,33% (poor). In general, quality ofVeR of injury in Pekanbaru Arifin Achmad General Hospital during 1 january2009-31 december 2013 was 37,75% that could be categorized as poor quality.Keywords: Visum et Repertum, injury, quality of VeR of injury

Abstract

ABSTRACTVisum et Repertum has a function in a process of proving the criminalcase to the health and human psyche. Visum et Repertum (VeR) of injury is thetype of VeR that most often requested by the investigator to a doctor who works inan emergency room. This research were done to find out the quality of VeR ofinjury in Mandau General Hospital during 1st June 2011-30th June 2013. Adescriptive retrospective research was designed using Herkutanto’s scoringmethod. All VeR data in Mandau General Hospital during 1st June 2011-30thJune 2013 were counted as samples a hundred fifty eight VeR data in MandauGeneral Hospital during 1st June 2011-30thJune 2013 were found injury survivorsmost cases are in the age group 22-40 years old as many as 94 victims (59,5%),mostly male 99 (62,7%). The most frequent violence that were experienced by thevictims were blunt violence was 150 VeR (94,9%). The preliminary unit of VeRabout 84,6% showed good quality, the reporting unit about 59% showed mediumquality and also the inference unit about 79,8% showed good quality. It can beconcluded that quality of VeR reports in Mandau General Hospital during 1stJune 2011-30th June 2013 was 72,64% which means medium quality.Keywords: Visum et Repertum, injury, the quality of Visum et Repertum of injury

Abstract

ABSTRACTIndonesian physicians, in their daily practices, are set to hold firm to Indonesian Medical Codes of Ethics or Kode Etik Kedokteran Indonesia (KODEKI) as it composes moral values and norms in order to preserve professional nobleness in every situation that may persist. The ongoing National Health Insurance (NHI) that has been implemented since January 2014 has arose several challenges for physicians. The aim of this study was to discover the implementation of KODEKI value in NHC era in Siak Regency among general practitioners. This is a qualitative research using exploration method. Data was collected by interview technique and recorded by audio recorder. The results showed that all of the selected general practitioners possess altruism, responsibility, professional idealism, scientific and social integrity which are the values of KODEKI being observed in this research.Keywords: KODEKI, NHI, Siak Regency.
