Abstract

A Study on the effect of carbon monoxide exposure on lung function of parking officers in basement Mall X Pekanbaru were carried out in January 2017. The research aim at describing carbon monoxide air ambient in basement Mall X Pekanbaru as well as respiratory state of parking officers and analysing carbon monoxide exposure and lung function relationship. The result showed that carbon monoxide concentration ranged from 2,8 – 11,5 ppm with average of 6,23 ppm. Apparently carbon monoxide exposure had significant correlation (r = -0,795) with lung function of parking officers in basement of the Mall X Pekanbaru. Respiration state of the parking officers account for 16,7% impaired lung function examined by spirometri. Working period more than 1 year related to that of impaired lung function. Other factors such as used of self protection device, smoking habit, medical record showed a significant correlation with lung function.

Abstract

ABSTACTTerms of carcass and chicken meat quality is clarifying that Salmonella is a dangerous pathogen bacteria that responsible to cause gastroenteritis. With the result that, in food products are not allowed to contain Salmonella. Both hygiene and sanitation traders are very influence on food safety, so foods is matterials are not contaminated with bacteria. This research aims to determine the correlation between hygiene and sanitation traders with Salmonella contamination at chicken meats in traditional market of Pekanbaru. This research used analytic survey with cross sectional design. Research carried out in traditional markets in Pekanbaru and laboratory testing for microscopic investigation. The population was traders in traditional markets of Pekanbaru. The sampling technique is purposive sampling that consist of 10 samples that are 2 markets in Panam, 2 markets in Arengka, 2 markets in Labuh Baru, 2 markets in Cik Puan, and 2 markets in Kodim. The result of this research shown that there were 3 traders unhygiene products, where there were three samples of chicken meats contaminated with possitive Salmonella bacteria. While, there were four traders had poor sanitation. So, there were three samples of chicken meats with possitive Salmonella bacteria and one negative contaminated with Salmonella. Based on investigation of Lambda correlation, there is a correlation between hygiene traders with Salmonella contamination of chicken meats in traditional markets of Pekanbaru with p value 0,038 (p<0,05), and there is correlation between sanitation traders with Salmonella contamination of chicken meats in traditional markets of Pekanbaru with p value 0,038 (p<0,05).

Abstract

Case of incidence of skin disease there is an increase from year to year in the city of Pekanbaru. Rumbai Coastal is the first rank of the highest case of skin disease. in the year 2016 was recorded a total of 4,174 cases per year. The dominant factor causing the transmission of skin disease is the lack of availability of clean water facilities. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of water utilization of Siak River for MCK to the incidence of skin diseases in the community living in Coastal of Siak River in Rumbai Pesisir Subdistrict, Analyzing the influence of long stay in Siak River area to the incidence of skin diseases in the community living in coastal river Siak Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir, and Analyzed the influence of long time contact of water utilization of Siak River for MCK activity with skin disease incident in society that live in coastal of Siak River of Rumbai Pesisir District. Research location on the coast of Siak River in Rumbai Pesisir Subdistrict of Meranti Pandak, Limbungan, and Tebing Tinggi Okura. The research used a survey method of direct observation of spaciousness with qualitative approach, in-depth interviews to informants who were subjected to research, ie people living in coastal areas of Siak River affected by skin disease, TU Puskesmas Rumbai Pesisir, RT / RW who live on the coastal edge of Siak River.The result of this research shows that there is influence of water utilization of Siak River for MCK to the incidence of skin disease in people living in Coastal of Siak River in Rumbai Pesisir Subdistrict, there is no influence of long stay in Siak River area to the incidence of skin disease in society living in coastal river Siak Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir, and there is influence of long time contact of water utilization of Siak River for MCK activity with skin disease incident in society that live in coastal of Siak River of Rumbai Pesisir Subdistrict. It is expected that people living in the Siak river basin should be moreconcerned with the importance of maintaining personal hygiene of the individual and the environment and awareness to behave in a clean and healthy way (PHBS).

Abstract

Sexual violence against women and domestic violence still very important phenomenon that occurs in all parts of the world today. RS Bhayangkara TK IV in Pekanbaru, is currently one of the places for citizens to obtain service due to violence experienced by women and children to Pekanbaru city and surrounding areas. Each year there are about 1300 cases per year of violence against children and women. Services for domestic violence and violence against women and children served by the Integrated Service Center section or known as PPT in RS Bhayangkara  through Emergency room, and treated by general practitioners who works 24 hours a day. Considering the availability of forensic specialists in Riau province currently only two people, so it is not possible to serve all cases of forensic medicine like RS. Bhayangkara Soekamto or RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo through unit Integrated Crisis Center or also knowns as PKT, in which all cases are handled by a forensic medicine specialist forensics. Particular clinical forensic services for domestic violence and sexual violence against women in RS Bhayangkara TK IV generally been handled for the people who need it though remains to be done continuously.

Abstract

Abstract: Height is one of the data needed in forensic identification process of a remains that is difficult to identify in an incomplete condition. Height estimation can be determined by the proximal phalanx of the fingers which are long bones. This study was conducted on 113 men and 125 women in several places in Riau Province age 18 - 45 years. The height and dimensions of the proximal phalanx of the fingers are measured to get the correlation and linear regression formula for height. There are 6 dimensions measured on the fingers of the left and right hand. The study design was cross sectional. The statistical test used is Pearson correlation to determine the correlation between dimensions of the proximal phalanx on fingers with height and linear regression analysis for height regression formula. The results show that some dimensions of the proximal phalanx of the fingers are significantly correlated with height. Keywords: identification, height, dimensions of the proximal phalanx bone fingers, correlation, regression formula.

Abstract

Professional behaviour is an effectuate that is expected of health professionals who provide services to the community including remote areas like in the littoral, one of which coastal settlement. This research aims for discovering the professional behaviour of health-care workes of Pelalawan community health center (Puskesmas), Pelalawan Regency that was assessed basing on the six elements of professional behaviour. The design of this reseacrh uses exploration method with qualitative approaches on nine health-care workers of Pelalawan community health center (Puskesmas), Pelalawan Regency, who selected by using snowball sampling method. Data collection was done by interview method and recorded with an audio recorder. The result of this research showed that all informants possess altruism, accountability, excellence, duty, honor and integrity and respect for other, and there are some informant who possess excellence. In general, half of the Pelalawan community health center (puskesmas) health-care workers possess the elements of professional behaviour in carrying their duty,especially in providing service the patients.Key word : professional behavior, health workers.

Abstract

ABSTRACTAbout 50%-70% of case that come to a hospital especially to the emergency room are physical trauma or injuries cases. The quality of VeR service directly reflect medicolegal services in hospital because it has broad impact juridical and can determine one’s fate. This research were done to find out the quality of VeR of injury in Rokan Hulu General Hospital during 1 January 2009-31 December 2013. This is a descriptive retrospective research. It used Herkutantos scoring method. The sample was all of population were the VeR data in Rokan Hulu General Hospital during 1 January 2009-31 December 2013 that were complete and has been signed by the doctor who did the examination. It had been gotten 292 VeR reports in Rokan Hulu General Hospital during 1 January 2009-31 December 2013. Injury survivors most cases are in the age group 22-40 years old as many as 177 victims (60,6%). The overview of the living victims were most frequent male was 171 victims ( 58,6%) and the most frequent violence that were experienced by the victims were blunt violence was 267 VeR (91,4%) with the highest age group 22-40 years old. About 80% showed good quality in preliminary unit of VeR, 69,54% showed medium quality in reporting unit and about 49,31% also showed medium quality in inference unit. It can be concluded that quality of VeR reports in Rokan Hulu General Hospital during 1 January 2009-31 December 2013 was 58,82% which was mean it was medium quality.Keywords: Visum et Repertum, injury, the quality of Visum et Repertum of injury

Abstract

Indonesia is a developing country that continues its effort to actualizing the community prosperity. The effort of enhancing the primary health care service, especially in the coastal area is a priority to health development because it can cover all the remote areas. Health care success depends on the behavior of its health-care workers. Workers with professional behavior are the main elements in actualizing an effort to an optimal health. Professional behavior is very important to build a trust in a middle of society that becomes critical with the quality of health care performance in health service. The aim of this research is to discover the professional behavior of Sinaboi community health care in Rokan Hilir Regency based on six professionalism elements. This study is using an exploration method with quantitative approaches on seven health workers in Sinaboi community health care that was chosen with the snowball sampling method. Data were collected by using interview method recorded with an audio recorder. The result shows that all informants possess altruism, accountability, duty and respect for others and some of the informants possess excellence. In general, some of the health care workers in Sinaboi community health care have possessed a professional behavior in performing their proffesion, especially in providing service for patients.Key word : professional behavior, health-care workers

Abstract

ABSTRACTKnowledge is the knowing result against the object through senses and has different levels. There are several factors that affect the knowledge levels. This study aimed to compare the knowledge levels of principle based of bioethics between clinic and pre-clinic medical student at Faculty of Medicine University of Riau. This study used a cross-sectional design with a total sample were 180 peoples. The study showed no significant differences on the knowledge levels of principle based of bioethics between clinic and pre-clinic medical student at Faculty of Medicine University of Riau (p=0.406). Similar results were also found between the knowledge levels of principle based of bioethics with academic achievement levels (p=0.102). This study showed that there are factors that affect the knowledge level so that there is no significant differences between the knowledge levels of principle based of bioethics between clinic and pre-clinic medical student at Faculty of Medicine University of Riau.Keywords: Knowledge levels, principle based of bioethics.

Abstract

ABSTRACTDoctor as the main doctor that provides health care system in Indonesia ought to have morals and ethics governed by KODEKI. This research aimed to determine the implementation of KODEKI in National Health Insurance in Indragiri Hilir Regency which was examined through 6 values of KODEKI. Thie research used exploration method with qualitative approach towards three doctors with two of them from community health center and one of the from Indragiri Hilir government hospital which were selected using snowball sampling. Data collection was done by interview which is recorded by audio recorder. Results of the research showed that all of the informants possess altruism, responsibility, professional idealism, accountability, scientific integration and social integration values. The results were based on statements as well as attitude given by informants.Key words: KODEKI values, NHC, Indragiri Hilir regency
