Abstract

Perubahan yang dialami oleh remaja pada tahap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan dipengaruhi oleh faktor genetik dan lingkungan. Tutor sebaya merupakan salah satu metode alternatif yang dapat diterapkan dalam proses belajar mengajar, khususnya dalam pemberian edukasi/informasi. Metode pengajaran tutor sebaya yaitu pengajaran yang dilakukan oleh teman-temannya yang mempunyai usia hampir sebaya. solusi permasalahan yang ditawarkan yaitu: pembentukan tutor sebaya kelompok remaja, memberikan edukasi kepada remaja yang berada di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tamalate, memberikan leaflet sebagai bahan bacaan, menyiapkan video edukasi sebagai bahan belajar untuk kelompok tutor sebaya. Kesimpulan dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang telah dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tamalate adalah. Meningkatnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman remaja tentang Upaya Pencegahan Pernikahan dini dan pencegahan stunting danPenyebaran informasi mengenai upaya pencegahan pernikahan dini dan pencegahan stunting berjalan dengan efektif melalui tutor sebaya kelompok remaja

Abstract

Alat tangkap tangkul adalah alat penangkap ikan yang termasuk dalam kelompok jaring angkat (lift nets) yang dioperasikan dengan tangan. Pengoperasian tangkul di Danau Kerinci berkaitan erat dengan lama perendaman alat tersebut. Lama perendaman alat tangkap mempengaruhi hasil tangkapan yang didapatkan. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh lama perendaman alat tangkap tangkul terhadap hasil tangkapan ikan. Metode penelitian yaitu metode experimental fishing, menggunakan perlakuan waktu yang berbeda yaitu 10 menit, 15 menit dan 20 menit. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada perlakuan 10 menit berpengaruh nyata dengan perlakuan 15 menit dan 20 menit terhadap jumlah dan berat total hasil tangkapan. Hasil tangkapan ikan dengan tangkul terdiri dari 3 spesies ikan yaitu ikan nila (oreochromis niloticus), ikan barau (Hampala Macrolepid) dan ikan Medik (Osteochilus wandersii). Alat tangkul yang direndam selama 10 menit diperoleh hasil tangkapan yang terbanyak yaitu 209 ekor, 15 menit sebesar 156 ekor, dan 20 menit sebesar 113 ekor. waktu perendaman alat tangkap tangkul berpengaruh terhadap hasil tangkapan ikan.

Abstract

This study investigates in depth the concept of citizenship in the thoughts of prominent political figures such as Aristotle, Cicero, Locke, Rousseau, Arendt, and Marshall using a qualitative approach through a literature review. The main objective of this study is to investigate the evolution of the concept of citizenship from a philosophical and theoretical perspective. This study shows that citizenship does not only focus on formal legal rights, but also considers the importance of active participation of individuals in political life and the protection of human rights. The results of the analysis indicate that these concepts play a key role in shaping the structure of modern democratic and pluralistic societies, especially in facing increasingly complex and diverse global challenges.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between parenting dimensions and hardiness personality in university students. This research employs a quantitative design involving 367 students aged 18-21 from four universities in Banda Aceh, selected using Multistage Cluster Sampling and Disproportionate Stratified Random Sampling techniques. The hypothesis testing in this study employs Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The results indicate correlation coefficients of r = .229 (p < .05) for the warmth dimension, r = -.189 (p < 0.05) for the rejection dimension, r = .319 (p < .05) for the structure dimension, r = -.123 (p < .05) for the chaos dimension, r = .407 (p < .05) for autonomy support, and r = -.007 (p > 0.05) for the coercion dimension. The findings of this study suggest that an increase in the warmth, structure, and autonomy support dimensions is associated with an increase in hardiness personality. However, an increase in the rejection and chaos parenting dimensions is associated with a decrease in hardiness personality. The coercion dimension was found to have no relationship with a hardy personality. This study demonstrates that implementing positive parenting dimensions by parents can enhance the hardiness personality among students. Furthermore, it offers insights for higher education institutions to develop psychological support programs and soft skills training that can assist students in fostering a hardiness personality.

Abstract

Currently, teenagers are faced with many challenges which of course come from themselves or from their parents and families. These challenges can make adolescents an opportunity for risky sexual behavior, including environmental influences with peers, early menarche, and the influence of various media. As a result of this, adolescents become vulnerable to sexually transmitted diseases, early marriage, and unwanted pregnancies. The purpose of this study was to analyze several factors that cause marriage at a young age in the working area of ​​the Jongaya Public Health Center Makassar. This research is a quantitative descriptive research, with a cross sectional design approach. The number of samples as many as 79 people using purposive sampling technique. Statistical data analysis technique using Chi Square Test. The results obtained are that there is a relationship between knowledge and parental income with the incidence of early marriage at the Jongaya Health Center Makassar City, there is no relationship between attitudes and parental roles on the incidence of early marriage at the Jongaya Health Center Makassar City. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between knowledge and parental income with the incidence of early marriage at the Jongaya Health Center Makassar City; there is no relationship between attitudes and the role of parents on the incidence of early marriage at the Jongaya Health Center Makassar City. Suggestions that can be given are to increase health promotion by providing education to adolescents, especially about maturing the age of marriage

Abstract

Background: Broiler chicken meat has high nutritional content that makes it susceptible to damage due to the growth and development of microorganisms, which thrive in its nutrient-rich environment. Purpose: The objective of this study aims at determining the impact of refrigerated storage duration prior to frozen storage on the physical quality of broiler chicken breast meat (pH, water binding capacity, and cooking loss). Methods: This study was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 (four) treatments and 5 (five) replications. The research treatment was the cooling of chicken breast meat before freezing. The cooling periods were as follows: frozen without direct cooling (P0); 2 hours cooling (P1); 4 hours cooling (P2); 6 hours cooling (P3). The physical quality measurements included pH, water binding capacity, and cooking loss. The data obtained were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and the results that had a significant effect were further tested by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT).  Results: The refrigeration treatment had a significant impact on the pH values, water binding capacity, and cooking loss values (P<0.05). The pH values, water binding capacity, and cooking loss values were the highest in P0 (without cooling), which underwent no cooling prior to freezing. Conclusion: The duration of the refrigeration period prior to freezing had significant impacts such as a decrease in pH values, an increase in water binding capacity, and a decrease in cooking loss values of the broiler chicken breast meat. The application of a six-hour refrigeration period prior to frozen storage was observed to produce pH values, water binding capacity, and cooking loss values that remained within the range of good physical quality of broiler chicken breast meat.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of service quality on customer satisfaction at UMKM PODOMORO Chicken in Medan City. The research method employed was in-depth interviews with regular customers of the restaurant. The results indicate that service quality encompassing factors such as service speed, staff friendliness, food quality, and cleanliness of the environment significantly impacts customer satisfaction. These findings align with consumer behavior theories that highlight the role of customer experience in shaping brand preferences and loyalty. Practically, the study suggests that UMKM PODOMORO Chicken management should focus on enhancing their service quality to improve customer satisfaction and foster strong customer loyalty. Future research could examine additional factors influencing customer satisfaction in the restaurant industry, and stakeholders in the industry are encouraged to adopt best practices to elevate service quality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and describe comprehensively the influence of organizational culture and work environment on the work effectiveness of public high school teachers in Central Jakarta. This research was conducted at a public high school in Central Jakarta. This research method uses quantitative research survey methods, as for analyzing the data using path analysis. The path analysis technique in this study is to determine the causal relationship between variables or the direct influence of exogenous variables on endogenous variables. The endogenous variables in this study are work effectiveness, while the exogenous variables in this study are organizational culture and work environment. Data was collected through filling out a questionnaire. Based on the calculation results obtained path analysis: 1) organizational culture has a direct effect on the effectiveness of teachers' work with a path coefficient value of 0.728 and tcount of 15.510, meaning that organizational culture has a positive direct influence on the effectiveness of teachers' work, which can be accepted increasing. A good organizational culture increases the effectiveness of teachers' work. 2) the direct effect of the work environment on the effectiveness of the teacher's work, the path coefficient is 0.699 and tcount is 14,277. That is, the work environment has a direct effect on the effectiveness of the teacher's work. 3) Organizational culture has a direct positive effect on the work environment with a path coefficient value of 0.671 and tcount 13,218.

Abstract

The recognition of processing chicken nuggets by the group of farmers in Sidelego village is an alternative to increase added value from the use of meat from the old chicken. This community service aims to increase the knowledge and skills of the farmers in Sidelego village utilizing chicken meat as a chicken nugget product. The community service activity involved 20 participants from a farmer's group in Sidelego village. The procedure for this activity is designed in 4 stages, including the preparation, training, demonstration, and evaluation of the activity. The farmers' first evaluation showed that most had consumed chicken nuggets; however, they had never tried to make chicken nugget products. The farmers' response to this activity was perfect, and they actively participated in the delivery of training materials and the practice of making chicken nuggets. The evaluation at the end of the activity, most of the participants (80-90%) were able to understand the materials of the training, and they could make chicken nugget products with a high level of acquisition. About 70% of participants with a moderate acquisition level could design modified nugget products with various kinds or variants, such as nuggets with additional ingredients, such as various types of vegetables or tempeh. Based on the preference test, most of the participants gave an assessment of chicken nugget products in the range of preference levels from the moderate to like a category on the color (80.00%), aroma (80%), taste (70.00%) and texture (80%). It was concluded that most participants (80-90%) understood the process of producing chicken nuggets. The chicken nuggets product can be received very well with the preference level in all categories (color, aroma, taste, and texture).

Abstract

Background: Ferritin is an important mediator of immunomodulatory dysregulation and pro-inflammatory effects, which contribute to cytokine storms that could lead to sepsis in a critically ill patients with COVID-19. The role of ferritin as a biomarker of sepsis in those patients is yet fully understood. The aim of this study is to investigate an association between ferritin levels and sepsis in patients with COVID-19.Method: This study was a retrospective, cross-sectional study of 474 COVID-19 hospitalized patients at Dr. M. Djamil Hospital, Padang.Result: Most of the COVID-19 patients in this study were between the ages of 18 and 49 (38,61%), female (55.91%), with moderate clinical illness (40.50%), and had one comorbidity (41,14%) with obesity as the most common comorbidity (37.97%). More than half of patients (54,22%) had ferritin levels of ≥500 ng/mL (median 1,201 ng/mL with a range of 503–12,010 ng/mL). The incidence of sepsis was significantly higher in the group whose ferritin level was ≥ 500 ng/ml compared to those with less ferritin level (P<0.001; OR=3.33; 5.99% vs 17.91%; CI 95%=1.74-6.36).Conclusion: There is a statistically significant association between the ferritin level and sepsis in patiens with COVID-19 at DR M Djamil Hospital.
