Abstract

This study explores the significance of Qur'anic memorization (tahfidzul Qur'an) in developing both academic and character aspects of students at SMP Ulumul Qur'an Pidie Jaya. Employing a qualitative approach, data were gathered through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the tahfidz program is conducted within a religious boarding environment, integrated with both formal and religious curricula, and emphasizes intensive repetition (taqrir), simaan, muraja'ah, and halaqah. Supporting factors include a conducive environment, teacher support, adequate facilities, and religious motivation. The main constraints involve limited time due to a demanding academic schedule and low student motivation when driven solely by parental pressure. Consequently, the flexibility of memorization methods tailored to students' characteristics, supported by intensive collaboration between the school and the boarding facility, serves as the key to the successful implementation of the Qur'anic memorization program at SMP Ulumul Qur'an Pidie Jaya.

Abstract

Fish is a fishery product that has high nutritional value. Fish can be processed into various processed products. Processed fish products generally have the characteristic of not lasting long when stored at room temperature so that in the food processing, additives are added. Hazardous food additives that are often used in processed fish products are formalin. Formalin is a preservative that can cross-link with protein so as to prevent damage to product and can extend its shelf life. This study aims to determine the formalin content in processed fish products, namely fish meatballs and salted fish in traditional markets in Jambi City. The research method used laboratory experiments with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the samples of fish meatballs and salted fish as a whole were positive for formalin. This shows that the food safety of processed products in traditional markets in Jambi is still low. The knowledge and awareness of the fisheries processing community about hazardous food additives is still low.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelaksanaan penelitian ini memiliki sebuah pencapain atau tujuan yaitu memahami penerapan karyawisata terhadap pemahaman siswa sekolah. Penelitian yang dibuat ini memakai metode kualitatif yang dipakai sebagai pedoman ketika pembuatan penelitian tentang program study tour. Metode yang dilakukan saat pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan melaksanakan tanya jawab secara langsung. Lokasi pengumpulan data dilakukan di SMP IT Al-Munadi yang beralamat di Medan marelan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa study tour menghasilkan program pembelajaran yang disertai dengan kegiatan study pada pembelajaran di sekolah bisa meningkatkan pemahaman belajar siswa. Tujuan dari metode study tour tidak hanya pengalaman belajar di kelas tetapi juga pengalaman langsung bagi siswa, yang bisa meningkatkan motivasi serta semangat baru siswa dalam belajar yang sebenarnya. Siswa juga dapat melihat prosesnya secara langsung dan kemudian mempraktikkan pengetahuan belajar mereka di luar sekolah untuk memperluas wawasan berpikir mereka dan membantu mereka lebih memahami pentingnya pelajaran yang disampaikan.

Abstract

Every child has the right to live, grow, develop, and be protected. To that end, comprehensive, integrated, and sustainable child health efforts must be carried out from the fetal stage to the age of 18 to ensure the survival and quality of life of children through a reduction in mortality rates, improved nutrition, and the fulfillment of minimum service standards for infants. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the implementation of Continuum of Care (COC) and mothers' ability to care for infants, focusing on health aspects and caregiving skills, to improve infant care quality and reduce complications. The method used is quantitative with an observational analytical approach and a case-control design. The study sample consisted of 76 mothers, with 38 mothers receiving COC services and 38 mothers not receiving such services. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test and Odds Ratio (OR) calculations. The results showed that mothers who received COC services had better infant care skills compared to those who did not. Among the 38 mothers who received COC, 89.4% were able to care for their infants well, while only 34.2% of mothers who did not receive COC were able to care for their infants. The p-value of 0.000 indicates that this difference is statistically significant. The Odds Ratio shows that mothers who did not receive COC services were 16 times more likely to be unable to care for their infants compared to those who received COC (OR = 16.346). This study concludes that the implementation of the COC program significantly improves mothers' ability to care for their babies WITH A p-VALUE OF 0.000. Therefore, it is recommended that the COC program be widely implemented to improve the quality of infant care and the health of mothers and children. Abstract

Smoking has become part of the lifestyle of Indonesian society. Even the age at which individuals first start smoking is getting younger. On average, individuals start smoking in early adolescence, which is between the ages of 10 and 14 years. One of the personality factors that contribute to smoking behaviour in early adolescents is sensation seeking, which is the need to seek new, different and complex sensations and experiences, accompanied by a willingness to take risks, both physically and socially, in order to obtain these experiences. This study aims to identify differences in sensation seeking between early adolescents who smoke and those who do not smoke. The study sample comprised 150 early adolescents, 75 smokers and 75 non-smokers. Data collection used the Brief Sensation Seeking Scale (BSSS) adapted to the Indonesian language and culture, with a reliability coefficient of = 0,757. The independent sample t-test analysis showed a difference in the mean value of sensation seeking between early adolescents who smoke (M = 26,08, SD = 5,22) and early adolescents who do not smoke (M = 19,95, SD = 4,78). Based on these findings, it concluded that early adolescents who smoke have higher sensation seeking compared to adolescents who do not smoke t (148) = 7,51, p = 0,00 (two-tailed). The results of this study indicate the role of sensation-seeking in the formation of smoking behaviour. Therefore, smoking prevention efforts are needed with an approach that considers the characteristics of sensation seeking in early adolescence. Merokok telah berkembang menjadi bagian dari gaya hidup masyarakat Indonesia, bahkan usia di mana individu pertama kali mulai merokok semakin lebih muda. Rata-rata, individu mulai merokok pada masa remaja awal, yaitu antara usia 11 hingga 14 tahun. Salah satu faktor kepribadian yang berkontribusi terhadap perilaku merokok pada remaja awal adalah sensation seeking, yaitu kebutuhan untuk mencari sensasi dan pengalaman yang baru, berbeda, serta kompleks, yang disertai dengan kesediaan untuk mengambil risiko, baik secara fisik maupun sosial, guna memperoleh pengalaman tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan sensation seeking pada remaja awal yang merokok dan yang tidak merokok. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 150 remaja awal, yang terdiri atas 75 remaja perokok dan 75 remaja non-perokok. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Brief Sensation Seeking Scale (BSSS) yang telah diadaptasi sesuai dengan bahasa dan budaya Indonesia, dengan koefisien reliabilitas sebesar = 0,757. Hasil analisis independent sample t-test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan nilai rerata sensation seeking antara remaja awal yang merokok (M = 26,08, SD = 5,22) dan remaja awal yang tidak merokok (M = 19,95, SD = 4,78). Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa remaja awal yang merokok memiliki sensation seeking yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan remaja yang tidak merokok t (148) = 7,51, p = 0,00 (two-tailed). Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan adanya peran sensation seeking terhadap terbentuknya perilaku merokok. Oleh karena itu diperlukan upaya pencegahan merokok dengan pendekatan yang mempertimbangkan karakteristik sensation seeking pada remaja awal.

Abstract

Internet has changed the way individuals communicate with others, so that individuals tend to have the freedom to express everything in cyberspace including expressing bad comments or hate speech on social media. The online disinhibition effect was found to be associated with aggressive and deviant behavior carried out online. One of the factors that influences the online disinhibition effect in early adulthood is self-concept. This research aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and the online disinhibition effect in early adulthood in Banda Aceh. A total of 303 early adults in Banda Aceh were selected based on the criteria of being 20-40 years old, using a smartphone or computer, accessing the internet and using social media and domiciled in Banda Aceh. This research uses a convenience sampling sample selection technique. Data collection using the Online Disinhibition Scale (ODS) and Personal Self-Concept Questionnaire (PSQ). The results of the hypothesis test show a correlation coefficient value of (r)=-0.145 and a significance value of (p)=0.016 (p0.05) meaning that there is a negative relationship between self-concept and the online disinhibition effect in early adulthood in Banda Aceh, which means that the higher the self-concept in early adulthood in Banda Aceh, the lower the online disinhibition effect, and vice versa.Internet telah mengubah cara individu berkomunikasi dengan orang lain, sehingga individu cenderung leluasa untuk mengekspresikan segala hal di dunia maya termasuk mengungkapkan komentar buruk atau ujaran kebencian di media sosial. Online disinhibition effect ditemukan berhubungan dengan perilaku agresif dan menyimpang yang dilakukan secara daring. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi online disinhibition effect pada dewasa awal adalah konsep diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan konsep diri dengan online disinhibition effect pada dewasa awal di Banda Aceh. Sebanyak 303 dewasa awal di Banda Aceh dipilih dengan kriteria berusia 20-40 tahun, menggunakan ponsel pintar atau komputer, mengakses internet dan menggunakan sosial media serta berdomisili di Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pemilihan sampel convenience sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Online Disinhibition Scale (ODS) dan Personal Self-Concept Questionnaire (PSQ). Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai korelasi (r)=-0.145 dan nilai signifikansi (p)=0.016 (p0,05) artinya terdapat hubungan yang negatif antara konsep diri dengan online disinhibition effect pada dewasa awal di Banda Aceh, yang artinya bahwa semakin tinggi konsep diri pada dewasa awal di Banda Aceh maka semakin rendah online disinhibition effect, begitu pula sebaliknya.

Abstract

Various problems that occur in dual earner families can affect the wellbeing of family members, therefore this study aims to determine the relationship between couple resilience and wellbeing in dual earner families. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlation method involving 50 couples as research samples.Data collection employed simple one-stage cluster sampling, and the data were gathered using two scales: the Couple Resilience Inventory (CRI) and the Centeredness Theory Scale (CT Scale). Data analysis was conducted using the Spearman correlation technique. The research findings indicate that several dimensions of couple resilience have a positive correlation with wellbeing. Specifically as follows: the correlation between couple resilience and husbands and wives wellbeing is (r= 0.292), the correlation between couple resilience and husbands wellbeing is (r = 0.464), and the correlation between couple resilience and wives wellbeing is (r = 0.377). Conversely, negative correlations were found between wive,s positive couple resilience and husbands wellbeing (r = -0.464), husbands positive couple resilience and husbands wellbeing (r = -0.514), and wives negative couple resilience and wives wellbeing (r = -0.427). No significant relationships were found between wives negative couple resilience and husbands wellbeing, as well as between husbands positive couple resilience and wives wellbeing.Berbagai permasalahan yang terjadi pada dual earner family dapat mempengaruhi wellbeing anggota keluarga oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan couple resilience dan wellbeing pada dual earner family. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi yang melibatkan 50 pasangan sebagai sampel penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan simple one-stage cluster sampling, data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan dua skala yaitu Couple Resilience Inventory (CRI) untuk mengukur Couple Resilience sedangkan untuk mengukur wellbeing menggunakan Centeredness Theory Scale (CT Scale). Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa beberapa dimensi couple resilience berkorelasi secara positif dengan wellbeing yaitu couple resilience negative suami dan wellbeing istri menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar (r=0.292), couple resiliene negative suami dan wellbeing suami (r=0.464), couple resilience negative istri dan wellbeing istri (r=0.377). Sedangkan yang berkorelasi negatif pada couple resilience positive istri dan wellbeing suami dengan korelasi sebesar (r=-0.464), couple resilience positive suami dan wellbeing suami (r=-0.514), couple resilience negative istri dan wellbeing istri (r=-0.427). Sementara couple resilience negative istri dan wellbeing suami serta couple resilience positive suami dan wellbeing istri tidak memiliki hubungan.

Abstract

Smartphones are a communication tool that is inseparable from student life due to various academic activities. However, unwise use can cause various problems. One of the problems that can arise is Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). This problem can develop into a more serious problem, such as Nomophobia. Nomophobia is a feeling of fear that arises when you are away from your smartphone. The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) and Nomophobia tendencies in students. The research sample was taken using a probability sampling method with multistage cluster sampling and dipropionate stratified sampling techniques involving 351 students from four universities. This study used the Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOS) and Nomophobia Questionnaire (NMP-Q) as instruments. The results of hypothesis testing using the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation show a coefficient value of r=0,320 (p0,05), which indicates a positive relationship between FoMO and Nomophobia tendencies in students. The higher the intensity of feeling connected and afraid of missing out on the latest information, the greater the risk of creating fear of being away from smartphones.Smartphone merupakan alat komunikasi yang tidak terpisahkan dari kehidupan mahasiswa karena berbagai tuntutan akademis. Namun, penggunaan yang tidak bijak dapat menimbulkan berbagai masalah. Salah satu permasalahan dapat ditunjukkan dengan kebiasaan memeriksa smartphone agar tidak ketinggalan informasi, yang dikenal sebagai Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). Permasalahan ini dapat berkembang menjadi masalah yang lebih serius, yaitu Nomophobia. Nomophobia merupakan perasaan ketakutan yang timbul ketika jauh dari smartphone. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara FoMO dan kecenderungan Nomophobia pada mahasiswa. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan metode probability sampling dengan teknik multistage cluster sampling dan disproportionate stratified random sampling yang melibatkan 351 mahasiswa dari empat universitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOS) dan Nomophobia Questionnaire (NMP-Q) sebagai instrumen. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan Pearson Product-Moment Correlation menunjukkan nilai koefisien sebesar r=0,320 (p0,05), yang mengindikasikan adanya hubungan positif antara FoMO dan kecenderungan Nomophobia pada mahasiswa. Artinya, semakin tinggi intensitas untuk merasa terhubung dan takut ketinggalan informasi terbaru, maka akan semakin besar risiko untuk memunculkan perasaan takut jauh dari smartphone.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the prevalence of bullying victimization and its differences in gender, grade level, and friendship quality among junior high school students in Aceh, Indonesia. The study also investigated the moderation effect of gender on the association between friendship quality and bullying victimization. A total of 360 students from four schools in Banda Aceh was selected using Cluster and Disproportionate Stratified random sampling. The Revised Olweus Victim Questionnaire and Friendship Qualities Scale were used to obtain data on bullying victimization and friendship quality, respectively. The results indicated that 46.9 % of the students were reported being victimized by peers “2 or 3 times a month” or more often. Verbal was the most common form of victimization reported by students. Significant differences in bullying victimization were found concerning gender and friendship quality. The study revealed that males were more likely to report being victimized than females, while students who have a good relationship with their friends reported fewer experiences of victimization than others. Further, regression analysis indicated that gender significantly moderated the relationship between friendship quality and bullying victimization. Preventive interventions regarding peer relationships and gender may be useful in reducing bullying victimization in schools.

Abstract

Broiler chicken meat is a highly nutritious protein source that has a good taste, a delicious smell, a soft texture and is relatively inexpensive. Despite these benefits, it is a perishable food. To address this issue, cold temperature storage can be utilised as a strategy to mitigate the damage. The objective of this study was to determine the physical quality and total microbes of broiler meat stored in a refrigerator before storage in a frozen state. This study was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and five replicates. The treatment involved the length of cooling in the refrigerator (± 5°C) before frozen storage, which was set at 0, 2, 4, and 6 hours. The parameters observed were pH, cooking loss, water binding capacity and total microbial count. The data were analysed using the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results revealed that the duration of refrigerated storage had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the pH value, water binding capacity, cooking loss, and total microbes.  The treatment P0 (without refrigeration) resulted in the highest pH value, the lowest water binding capacity, and a low cooking loss and total microbes. The refrigeration of broiler chicken thigh meat was observed to reduce pH value, increase water binding capacity, reduce cooking loss and increase total microbes. Therefore, refrigerating broiler chicken thigh meat for 6 hours before frozen storage can maintain the meat's quality.
