Abstract

Students need to comprehend and become proficient in the art of writing scientific articles in order to be able to generate quality works in the form of scientific articles that they have written themselves (Matarese, 2013). Background of the research, there are problems:(1) Students have trouble coming up with ideas for scientific articles. (2) Students have trouble putting the right words together. (3) Main ideas that don't match up with the best topics. The aim of this research is need analysis of the model for writing scientific articles. The research method is both descriptive and qualitative. It involves doing preliminary research, such as a needs and context analysis, a review of the literature, and a survey of students. The people who were studied Putera Batam University students in the odd semester of 2021/2022 in state administration and english literature. The study's results show that students and teachers need the model to learn how to write scientific articles that include reading references, article reviews, observations, information and creative ideas, case studies, article manuscripts, and activated publication. The research results show that students and professors need the model to be developed based on the results of tohe needs analysis. This is because the model can help students solve their problems and get them more interested in learning by making learning fun.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini perkembangan teknologi semakin pesat dalam kehidupan manusia di berbagai macam bidang, salah satunya pada bidang pendidikan. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan Research and Development (RD). Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model 4-D terdiri dari empat tahapan, yaitu: 1) define, 2) design, 3) develop, dan 4) disseminate. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data instrumen angket yang disebarkan kepada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 34 Padang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis angket kebutuhan siswa, mendapatkan hasil bahwa 83% siswa membutuhkan media pembelajaran digital. Terdapat 3 aspek pada angket penelitian, yaitu kebutuhan siswa dalam aspek proses pembelajaran memperoleh presentase 84%, kebutuhan siswa dalam aspek media pembelajaran 84%, dan kebutuhan siswa dalam aspek isi bahan ajar 80%. Hasil rata-rata presentase seluruh aspek, sebesar 83% sehingga masuk ke dalam kategori “sangat layak”. Dari hasil analisis angket kebutuhan siswa, disimpulkan perlunya peneliti mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa e-book interaktif berbasis kearifan lokal.

Abstract

Think-pair-share is a collaborative learning strategy where students think individually about a topic, pair up to discuss their thoughts, and then share their ideas with the larger group. This model encourages active participation, critical thinking, and effective communication. One effective medium is audiovisual media, which combines both visual and auditory elements to create a more engaging learning experience. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the impact of think-pair-share (TPS) learning model assisted by audiovidual media on speaking skills. To attain the research purposes, the study is designed in experimental study with using one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this research is class The sample in this research was class X E.2 students, totaling 35 people. The instruments of this research were speaking skills tests. To analyze this data, the researchers utilized SPSS software. To ascertain the significant impact of the learning model assisted by audiovisual media, the researchers employed the t-test analysis. Based on the data analysis, the mean score of students’ indonesian speaking skills assissted by audiovisual in pretest is 68.97 and in posttest is 84.16. The TPS learning model has demonstrated remarkable effectiveness in enhancing students' speaking skills and overall language proficiency. The stages create a dynamic and supportive learning environment that fosters individual cognitive development and promotes active communication. By encouraging students to first reflect on their ideas, then discuss them with a peer, and finally articulate them in front of the larger group, TPS not only builds confidence in verbal expression but also reinforces essential language competencies such as fluency, active listening, and critical thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to interpret the effect of the application of the Cooperative learning model type Team Game Tournament assisted by Kahoot application and learning motivation on learning outcomes on the material of writing official letters and personal letters of SMP Negeri 02 Gunung Talang students. This research is classified as experimental research with a population of 355 students and a sample of 64 students. Data on learning outcomes were obtained through objective question tests on the material of writing official and personal letters, while learning motivation data were obtained from distributing learning motivation questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted manually and using the IBM SPSS Statistics 27 application. Based on the results of the analysis, the Team Game Tournament type Cooperative learning model assisted by Kahoot application was proven effective in improving student learning outcomes significantly compared to the Conventional learning model. This is evidenced by tcount> ttable (df = 62; α = 0.05), namely 8.444> 1.66980 and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05 then H0 is rejected. These findings indicate that the application of the Team Game Tournament type Cooperative learning model assisted by the Kahoot application can significantly improve student learning outcomes. In addition, the results showed that students' learning motivation, both high and low, did not significantly affect learning outcomes in the context of using the Cooperative learning model of Team Game Tournament type assisted by Kahoot application. The analysis also showed no significant interaction between the learning model and students' learning motivation, with an interaction F value (FoA*B) = 0.013 and p-value = 0.908. Thus, the effectiveness of the Team Game Tournament type cooperative learning model assisted by Kahoot application was consistent across various levels of student learning motivation, both high and low. This finding indicates that the learning model is effective for all students regardless of their learning motivation level.

Abstract

This study addresses the need for innovative digital learning tools by developing an interactive Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) based on the Live-Worksheets platform. It aims to enhance reading and viewing skills among Phase F students (Grade XI senior high school) in Indonesian language subjects, aligning with modern educational demands for critical thinking and digital literacy. A Research and Development (RD) approach utilizing the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) was employed. Data collection instruments included validation sheets for content, media, and language; practicality questionnaires; test instruments; and student activity observations. The E-LKPD was evaluated for validity, practicality, and effectiveness through expert reviews, small and large group trials, and assessments of students' learning outcomes and engagement. Expert validation yielded high scores for content (90%), media (86%), and language (86%). Practicality ratings were similarly high, with 89% for small groups and 91% for large groups. Students demonstrated significant learning improvements, with an average score of 92, while engagement levels reached 98%. Positive responses to the E-LKPD were reported by 91% of participants, highlighting its alignment with students' needs for interactive and creative learning. The findings confirm that the E-LKPD enhances students' reading and viewing skills, such as text comprehension and visual media analysis, while fostering a student-centered learning environment. Its integration of interactive technology promotes adaptive learning and supports digital education goals. The E-LKPD is an effective tool for improving learning outcomes and engagement, advancing literacy, and meeting the demands of digital-era education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media Wordwall terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 5 Gunung Talang. Model Problem Based Learning dipilih karena dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah siswa, sedangkan Wordwall sebagai media interaktif mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan dinamis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental design), yang melibatkan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t dan uji N-Gain untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan Wordwall. Kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model ini memperoleh peningkatan hasil belajar yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan Problem Based Learning berbantuan media Wordwall memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi menyebabkan pendidik memiliki banyak alternatif untuk penggunaan media pembelajaran. Salah satunya adalah media interaktif yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh. Namun, penggunaan media interaktif belum efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa, khususnya pembelajaran berbicara. Media merupakan aspek penting dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menciptakan media dialogis-interaktif dalam pembelajaran bahasa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara dalam pembelajaran daring. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research & Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model Plomp Development. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling, diperoleh 30 siswa sebagai uji coba. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan lembar dokumen. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket, lembar observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis data deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai kepraktisan diperoleh rata-rata 87,38 dalam kategori sangat baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media dialogis-interaktif praktis digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara pada pembelajaran daring. Selain itu, media ini praktis untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hal itu, media dialogis-interaktif dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif media dalam pembelajaran bahasa, khususnya pada pembelajaran berbicara.

Abstract

Salah satu aspek penting dalam Kurikulum Merdeka adalah bagaimana mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka kepada peserta didik. Kurikulum Merdeka adalah sebuah konsep pendidikan yang diperkenalkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Kebudayaan Riset dan Teknologi. Konsep ini bertujuan untuk mendorong peserta didik dalam mengatur dan mengelola proses belajar mereka sendiri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 25 Sijunjung. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dan wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di SMP Negeri 25 Sijunjung telah berjalan cukup baik. Pada tahap perencanaan, guru telah menyusun modul ajar sesuai prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, pembelajaran berbasis projek dan diferensiasi sudah mulai diterapkan, meskipun masih ada kendala dalam pemanfaatan media pembelajaran. Sedangkan dalam tahap penilaian, guru telah menerapkan asesmen formatif dan sumatif sesuai dengan prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka, meskipun pemahaman terkait teknik asesmen alternatif perlu ditingkatkan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi dan pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di sekolah.

Abstract

This service activity aims to improve teacher writing skills and the ability to search for reliable information as a source of reference and create digital libraries for writing scientific articles. The method of implementing this service used training. This service partner was the teachers at SMPN 16 Padang. The instruments for evaluating this service activity were the articles written by the teachers, which were analyzed descriptively. The results of this service showed that teachers could produce relevant scientific articles that could be used for teacher promotion. Approximately 80% of teachers could master how to turn class action research reports into scientific articles. In addition, this activity could improve 100% of teachers' understanding of the procedures for writing and publishing scientific articles in accredited journals. This success was seen from the articles made by the teachers according to the template from the specified journal.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan hal-hal sebagai berikut. Pertama, mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan gerakan literasi sekolah yang meliputi tahap pembiasaan, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap pembelajaran. Kedua, mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor apa yang menjadi kendala pengimplementasi pelaksanaan gerakan literasi sekolah di SMP Negeri 13 Padang. Ketiga, mendeskripsikan cara sekolah mengatasi kendala-kendala pelaksanaan gerakan literasi sekolah di SMP Negeri 13 Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian mixed methode. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil pengumpulan data tentang pemahaman dan pelaksanaan gerakan literasi sekolah yang dilakukan siswa dan guru di SMP Negeri 13 Padang yang diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara, angket, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data yaitu analisis data kualitatif, analisis data kuantitatif, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan, Pertama pelaksanaan gerakan literasi sekolah di SMP Negeri 13 Padang sudah terlaksana dengan baik. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil angket penelitian tentang implementasi gerakan literasi sekolah di SMP Negeri 13 Padang sebesar 73% dengan kategori baik. Kedua, kendala implementasi gerakan literasi sekolah di SMP Negeri 13 Padang yaitu kurangnya minat siswa yang masih rendah mengenai kegiatan membaca dan penyediaan sarana dan prasarana yang belum memadai. Ketiga, upaya mengatasi kendala implementasi gerakan literasi sekolah di SMP Negeri 13 Padang yaitu sekolah menyediakan persiapan fisik berupa perpustakaan yang menyediakan berbagai jenis buku bacaan, kegiatan 15 menit membaca, pojok literasi, bahan kaya literasi dan memberikan siswa buku 1821 sebagai tagihan kegiatan literasi di akhir semester.
