Abstract

Learning activities to develop the character of responsibility during the COVID-19 pandemic have created difficulties for teachers as teaching guides and students as learning implementers. Teachers and students’ problems appropriately and wisely help shape satisfying forms of responsibility character in education. This paper aims to describe student responsibility behaviour in learning and analyze the roles of teachers during the learning process. This paper-based is on data collected from open questionnaires to 58 senior high schools in Manado North Sulawesi, Pasirian East Java, and Malang East Java. Data collection through interviews with seven teachers and two school principals. The data were analyzed using theme analysis techniques and reflective thinking. The results showed that responsive and proportionate teachers in delivering learning have succeeded in developing responsible behaviours towards students. Selection of the suitable learning model and positive school support has become a determinant of success for the learning process of student responsibility. This paper suggests the need for a more in-depth data collection method to understand cases comprehensively.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the impact of ulul albab personality on the adversity quotient. The sample was composed of 139 undergraduate of Islamic State University of Malang. The result showed that r=0.182 p=0.045 it means ulul albab personality influence of adversity quotient. Key word:  Ulul Albab Personality,  Adversity Quotient

Abstract

Kebahagiaan adalah salah satu aspek kajian sentral dalam bidang psikologi positif. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi pada tinggi rendahnya tingkat kebahagiaan. Salah satu faktor yang diduga berpengaruh adalah faktor spiritual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan antara pengalaman spiritual dengan tingkat kebahagiaan pada guru agama di Jawa Timur.Jenis pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional. Subjek penelitian diambil dari guru agama di tiga kabupaten yaitu kabupaten Trenggalek, Tulung Agung dan Pacitan sejumlah 247 orang. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan daily spiritual experience scale dan approach to happiness questionnaire. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis product moment.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman spiritual berhubungan dengan dan kebahagiaan. Saran yang disampaikan adalah  upaya untuk pengembangan kebahagiaan dapat dilakukan sejalan dengan pengembangan pengalaman spiritual SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE AND HAPPINESS AMONG RELIGIOUS TEACHERS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL   Abstract Happiness is one central aspect of the study in the field of positive psychology. Many factors influence the high and low levels of happiness. One factor thought to influence happiness is the spiritual factor. This study aims to find out relationship between spiritual experiences with a level of happiness in the religious teacher in East Java.Type of approach used in this study was correlation research. Research subjects drawn from 247 religious teachers in three districts namely Trenggalek district, Tulung Agung and Pacitan. Data were collected with a daily spiritual experience scale and approach to happiness questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using product moment analysis techniques.The results showed that the spiritual experiences associated with happiness. Advice given is an effort for the development of happiness can be done in line with the development of spiritual experience.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the relation between three kinds of intelligences (intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence) and aggression. The proposed hypothesis is that there is a negative correlation between three kinds of intelligences and level of aggression in college students. Population of this reasearch are student of Islamic State University of Malang from varied discipline such as Faculty of Tarbiyah, Faculty of Humaniora, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Economic and Faculty of Syariah. Subject were 304 students. Data were collected using Aggression Scale, Emotional Intelligence Scale, Spiritual Intelligence Scale, and SPM (Standard Progressive Matrices) as an instrument to measure intellectual intelligence. Data analyzed by regression analysis technique. The more intelligence student, the less aggressive he/she is. The research also find that the three kind of intelligences have 32,5% portion on aggression.Keywords: intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, aggression

Abstract

Keharmonisan keluarga merupakan tujuan dari setiap pernikahan yang dapat dicapai dengan adanya usaha dari pasangan suami istri untuk saling mencintai dan mengembangkan perilaku spiritual dalam kehidupan berkeluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran spiritualitas sebagai variabel moderator yang mampu memperkuat hubungan antara cinta dan keharmonisan keluarga. Data diperoleh dari 410 pasangan suami istri (205 suami dan 205 istri) di tujuh kota (Malang, Surabaya, Pasuruan, Jember, Blitar, Batu, dan Jombang) yang ada di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Data diperoleh melalui alat ukur The Family Harmony Scale, The Triangular of Love Scale, dan Daily Spiritual Experience Scale. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif dan regresi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa cinta berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keharmonisan keluarga (β=0,625 p<0,01), dan spiritualitas mampu menjadi variabel yang memperkuat hubungan antara cinta dengan keharmonisan keluarga (β=0,688 p<0,01). Hasil penelitian ini berimplikasi bahwa memupuk perasaan cinta pada pasangan suami istri dapat mewujudkan keharmonisan dan untuk memperkuat hubungan tersebut maka pasangan perlu mengembangkan spiritualitas dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the direct effect of creativity on the meaning of life, and an indirect effect through performance. Subjects were 186 teachers (113 male and 73 female). The data were collected by the creativity scale,  the job performance scale, and the meaning in life scale. The data were analyzed by moderated regression analysis. The results showed that performance play a role in strengthening the relationship between creativity and the search for a meaningful life (p <.01), but not in the relationship between creativity and the presence of meaning of life (p> .05).

Abstract

One of the critical variables in the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic is teachers' self-efficacy to their ability to carry out online learning. However, the fact is not all teachers have the efficacy of teaching online. The article invites readers to reflect by analyzing the causes of low self-efficacy of elementary school teachers carrying out online learning. The study used a mixed-method approach involving 22 elementary school teachers. Primary and secondary data collection using questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis used quantitative and qualitative. The results show that three factors cause low self-efficacy of elementary school teachers: first, teachers' perception that online learning is ineffective and efficient; second, weak mastery and skills to apply technology for learning; and thirdly, the lack of online learning support facilities during the pandemic. This study's results can be an empiric basis for improving teachers' quality by schools, communities, and governments, especially related to online learning, not only during the Covid-19 pandemic but also in the long run education in the digital age.

Abstract

This research used experimental approach which aims to test effectiveness of synectics in developing creative thinking using variables of creative attitude as covariance. The subjects were 48 students of seventh grade of MTs Surya Buana who was divided evenly into experiment and control group. The data was gained through a test of creative thinking and creative attitude scale. Results indicated that synectics proved effective in developing creative thinking. Keywords: synectics, creative thinking, creative attitude

Abstract

  Students' low motivation can be caused by how teachers teach in the learning activities. Teachers can use rewards and punishments to trigger students' learning motivation in the classroom. The data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Meanwhile, the samples were selected by total sampling. Then, the data were analyzed by using multiple regression analysis to determine the effect of giving rewards and punishments on students' learning motivation either partially or simultaneously. The results showed that the tcount was 0.203 and ttable was 0.306; thus, Ho was accepted and Ha was rejected. As a result, giving rewards had no significant positive effect on students' learning motivation at grade V of SDN Dadaprejo 01, Kecamatan Junrejo, Kota Batu. Hence, partially giving rewards had no significant positive effect on motivation. In addition, this study also obtained that the tcount was 4.552 and the ttable was 0.306. Thus, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This result indicated that punishment had a significant positive effect on the students' learning motivation at grade V of SDN Dadaprejo 01, Kecamatan Junrejo, Kota Batu. Hence, partially, punishment had a significant positive effect on learning motivation.
