Abstract

In an era of increasingly dynamic business competition, improving employee performance is a top priority for organisations. One strategic approach that has been widely researched is Perceived Organizational Support (POS), which is the employee's perception of the extent to which the organisation values their contribution and cares about their well-being. This study aims to explore the relationship between POS, fringe benefits, work resilience, and self-efficacy in predicting employee performance. This study uses a qualitative approach through a systematic literature study of various relevant national and international scientific journals. The results show that POS has a positive effect on employee performance, and this effect is mediated by the presence of fringe benefits. Meanwhile, work resilience and self-efficacy act as moderator variables that strengthen the relationship between POS and performance. The implications of this study emphasise the importance of organisations in creating a supportive work environment, providing competitive benefits, and empowering the psychological aspects of employees to increase work productivity in a sustainable manner. The findings can serve as a basis for developing more effective and long-term orientated human resource management strategies.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has expanded social interactions while simultaneously generating negative phenomena such as cyberbullying, which significantly affects individuals' psychological conditions. Cyberbullying can disrupt empathy and self-worth in both victims and offenders, making it essential to be explored comprehensively. This study aims to explore and analyze the effects of empathy and self-worth on involvement in cyberbullying from the perspectives of victims and offenders. A quantitative survey method was employed, using random sampling techniques to recruit 950 high school students as participants. Data were collected through standardized instruments measuring empathy and self-worth, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings revealed that empathy significantly influenced involvement in cyberbullying; individuals with higher empathy levels were more likely to become victims (β = 0.321, p = 0.003) but less likely to become offenders (β = -0.048, p = 0.044). In contrast, self-worth had a significant effect on victim involvement (β = 0.264, p = 0.003) but showed no significant relationship with offenders (β = 0.011, p = 0.647). These results indicate that empathy functions as a protective factor against becoming a cyberbullying offender while paradoxically increasing vulnerability to victimization. This study is expected to serve as a foundation for developing character-based intervention programs to prevent cyberbullying in educational environments.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed consumer consumption patterns, particularly in the fashion industry, which is increasingly dominated by e-commerce platforms. Shopee, as one of the largest marketplaces in Southeast Asia, has become a primary choice for consumers when shopping for fashion products. One factor influencing consumer purchasing decisions is the availability of online reviews on the platform. This study aims to analyze the role of online reviews as a mediating variable in fashion product purchasing decisions on Shopee. Online reviews serve as a source of information that helps consumers evaluate product quality, seller reputation, and the level of satisfaction of previous users. The research method used was a quantitative approach, distributing questionnaires to Shopee consumers who had previously purchased fashion products. The collected data was then analyzed using a path analysis model to examine the direct and indirect relationships between factors influencing purchasing decisions. The results show that online reviews play a significant role as a mediator in the decision-making process. Consumers tend to trust other users' real-life experiences more than solely the seller's product description. Positive reviews increase consumer interest and confidence in a product, while negative reviews can delay or even cancel a purchase decision. These findings confirm that the presence of online reviews is not only a supporting factor but also serves as a bridge, mediating the relationship between consumer perceptions of a product and the final purchase decision. The implication of this research is that sellers on Shopee need to pay attention to product and service quality to generate positive reviews, thereby increasing purchase conversion rates.

Abstract

Employee well-being, mental health, and work-life balance have become strategic issues in modern human resource management, given their significant impact on work productivity. Previous research has largely examined these variables separately, resulting in fragmented results. This study aims to develop a conceptual synthesis using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to elucidate the relationships between employee well-being, mental health, and work-life balance, and their impact on productivity, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. This study draws on 66 scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025 in reputable journals indexed by Scopus (Q1–Q4), using a manual thematic analysis method. The results indicate that employee well-being, a supportive psychosocial environment, mental health interventions, and work-life balance policies all have a direct and significant effect on productivity. Job satisfaction is identified as the primary mediating factor strengthening this relationship.  The strength of this study lies in its integrative synthesis, which simultaneously maps three antecedent variables—job satisfaction, mental health, and work-life balance—into a single conceptual model, with job satisfaction serving as a mediator. Unlike previous studies that were still partial, this study consolidates various findings into an integrated framework that bridges the psychological, structural, and affective dimensions of Human Resource Management (HRM). These results enrich the literature on HRM by strengthening the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) framework and Human Capital Theory. This study also encourages organizations to implement productivity-enhancing strategies based on employee well-being, work flexibility, and comprehensive psychosocial support.

Abstract

This research analyze the skills of staff and the human resource development strategy approaches at Kaliwatu Group, a top adventure tourism company in Bumiaji District, Batu, East Java. The study identifies employee knowledge, skills, and attitudes (KSAs), especially concerning whitewater rafting protocols specified in the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI) No. 62/2009 and No. 60/2024. This study utilizes a qualitative approach that includes interviews, site observations, and competency evaluations. Although most executive team members possess solid knowledge of operations, safety practices, and customer service, there are still gaps in advanced tourism management and regulation updates. The group's human resource strategy actively incorporates internal and external training, certification initiatives, and peer learning. Nevertheless, hiring tends to favour passion over formal qualifications or certifications, leading to inconsistencies in service quality. The results underscore the urgent need for ongoing, structured professional development to close existing competency voids, improve staff performance, and provide sustainable, high-quality tourism services. Suggestions involve enhancing training programs, aligning more closely with national criteria, expanding knowledge-sharing networks among local tourism experts, and collaborating with the local community.

Abstract

The strategic significance and application of social media in diverse business contexts have been extensively covered in recent academic and practitioner literature. This study uses a dual measurement approach for relative and absolute performance to investigate how social media use affects sales force performance in business-to-business (B2B) settings. It focuses on the mediating roles of relationship quality and brand awareness. Data was gathered from 206 Indonesian B2B salespeople using a quantitative survey method. Purposive sampling was used to distribute a structured questionnaire to gather data. The data was analyzed using AMOS software and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings demonstrate that social media use enhances sales performance by positively impacting relationship quality, relationship strength, and brand awareness. Social media contributes to increased customer interaction, commitment, and trust, all of which improve relative and absolute performance. In this relationship, the strength and quality of the relationship act as mediators. Compared to the path involving brand awareness, the mediation path through relationship strength and quality is more effective in enhancing sales performance. This finding adds to the studies on social media use in business-to-business settings. Nevertheless, the sample is restricted to a single nation and sector. Subsequent studies could expand the sample to encompass additional industries and geographical regions. The study benefits B2B managers by promoting more active social media use among salespeople and highlighting the importance of developing social media competency, as well as providing training to enhance sales performance.

Abstract

The urgency of family economic education, especially among the fishing communities of Puger coastal area, Jember Regency, needs to be addressed to achieve welfare. The internalisation process that occurs needs to be examined in depth to ensure no party is disadvantaged. This study aims to describe the role of parents in internalising economic education to their children within fishing families and to identify the forms of economic education processes that take place within them. This research is a qualitative phenomenological study with purposive sampling to obtain in-depth knowledge about the economic education of fishing families. Data validation uses technique and source triangulation, analysed with the Miles & Huberman framework, assisted by NVivo 12 Plus software. The findings reveal the uniqueness and advantages of the family economics education for fishermen, which has developed rapidly, not only verbally but also through examples, habituation, and open discussions. The implications of this research theoretically suggest that economic education is more than traditional, but interactive. In practice, the role of parents alongside children is important for the economic welfare. The best policy is to maximise the welfare of fishermen and the future of fishermen's children who must struggle with limited economic resources.
