Abstract

Abstract

The Sorong region is known as a natural gas producer in Indonesia, but the local community has not been able to enjoy the gas product, namely LPG, at the same price as on the island of Java or other regions. Investment opportunities to build SPBE in Sorong are very attractive and open very wide. This study aims to analyze the risks that can affect investment in the project. This study uses types and sources of data in the form of primary data in the form of opinions and experiences derived from the results of interviews and Forum Group Discussion (FGD).  The results of the analysis showed that 3 sources of risk were in the very high category, 22 sources of risk were in the high category, 35 sources of risk were in the medium category, 13 sources of risk were in the low to medium category, and 10 sources of risk were in the low category. After being given recommendations for the risk control process, it is estimated that 2 risks are still in the high category and 7 other sources of risk have been successfully downgraded to the medium category. At the planning stage, it is necessary to pay attention to the lack of commitment to gas volume and supply. At the EPC stage, material delays due to community disturbances, land execution, and work accidents need to be dealt with seriously.

Abstract

Milk is an essential commodity because the Government of Indonesia aimed to increase domestic milk production up to 50% by 2020. At the present, domestic milk production in Indonesia is only able to fulfill 20% of national milk demand. East Java and West Java Provinces are the main producers of milk in Indonesia. The objective of this study was to compare dairy farming management and business model between East Java and West Java, Indonesia. This study employed descriptive statistical and quantitative analyses. The dairy farming management questionnaire survey was conducted in May-July 2016 and the dairy business model survey was conducted in October-November 2018. There were no significant differences in dairy farming activities between farmers in Lembang and Malang whereas the average number of lactating cows is 5 and 3 heads, respectively. Farmers received farm gate price of Rp4,622 per liter in Lembang and Rp4,535 per liter in Malang. Based on net return over cash variable cost, farmers in Malang and Lembang earned around 20 percent from the milk price. There were six inclusive business models (IBMs) identified between smallholder farmers, cooperatives, and private companies with different characteristics have been implemented in East Java and West Java. It is suggested that cooperative improves its role in the integrated agribusiness system in order to improve the bargaining position of dairy farmers as well as in terms of cost-efficiency. The strategies and policies should be implemented to support development of sustainable, profitable and smallholder-inclusive dairy supply chains in East Java and West Java. Keywords: inclusive business model, integrated agribusiness system, dairy farming, milk production, net return

Abstract

As a service provider, Bank XYZ has received numerous complaints from customers. These complaints must be addressed promptly to enhance customer satisfaction. When customers feel that their complaints are acknowledged and resolved, they tend to be more satisfied and trust that the bank can fulfill its promises. This trust leads to customers sharing information and giving recommendations, which positively influences the bank's brand credibility. This study aims to determine the effect of service quality, service recovery, and perceived justice on complaint handling satisfaction, as well as the direct and indirect effects of complaint handling satisfaction through WOM communication. The research sample consists of 250 customers who submitted complaints within the past year, and whose complaints were handled and resolved. Data collection was conducted via Google Forms. Data analysis using SEM-PLS. The fresult of the study indicate that service quality and perceived justice significantly influence complaint handling satisfaction, whereas service recovery does not have a significant impact on complaint handling satisfaction. Furthermore, complaint handling satisfaction has a significant and positive effect on brand credibility, both directly and indirectly through WOM communication. This shows that the higher the level of satisfaction with complaint handling, the greater the customers' trust in Bank XYZ.
