Abstract

This study aims to develop strategies for enhancing competitiveness in the coconut oil industry amidst intense competition. It analyzes the internal and external conditions of PT XYZ, focusing on optimizing strengths and opportunities while leveraging an Initial Public Offering (IPO) strategy. The study examines the internal and external conditions of PT XYZ to develop strategies for improving competitiveness. Utilizing qualitative methods, the research employs analytical tools such as the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrices, SWOT analysis, and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The sample consists of 15 respondents, including 11 internal and 4 external participants. Results show that the company’s internal conditions, with 5 strengths and 4 weaknesses, yield an IFE score of 3.03. In contrast, the external conditions, featuring 5 opportunities and 4 threats, result in an EFE score of 2.92. This analysis places PT XYZ in Quadrant IV of the IE matrix, indicating a "grow and build" strategy, as both scores exceed the average benchmark of 2.50. These findings highlight significant potential for continuous improvement in strategy and operations. The next step involves formulating alternative strategies through the SWOT method, generating eight options based on the analysis. Ultimately, the QSPM identifies three primary strategies with the highest total scores: increasing production capacity to enhance revenue and market share, developing innovative products and services, and implementing business processes adhering to Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) standards. This study provides actionable insights for PT XYZ to bolster its competitiveness in the coconut oil industry.

Abstract

The Sorong region is known as a natural gas producer in Indonesia, but the local community has not been able to enjoy the gas product, namely LPG, at the same price as on the island of Java or other regions. Investment opportunities to build SPBE in Sorong are very attractive and open very wide. This study aims to analyze the risks that can affect investment in the project. This study uses types and sources of data in the form of primary data in the form of opinions and experiences derived from the results of interviews and Forum Group Discussion (FGD).  The results of the analysis showed that 3 sources of risk were in the very high category, 22 sources of risk were in the high category, 35 sources of risk were in the medium category, 13 sources of risk were in the low to medium category, and 10 sources of risk were in the low category. After being given recommendations for the risk control process, it is estimated that 2 risks are still in the high category and 7 other sources of risk have been successfully downgraded to the medium category. At the planning stage, it is necessary to pay attention to the lack of commitment to gas volume and supply. At the EPC stage, material delays due to community disturbances, land execution, and work accidents need to be dealt with seriously.

Abstract

The data used in this study were secondary in the form of time series sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the period of 2017-2021. The number of companies analyzed in this study was 23 companies. The GCG components analyzed consisted of managerial ownership (KM), institutional ownership (KINS), and independent commissioners (KIND), as well as integrating reporting (IR) as moderating variables. Data processing in this study employed Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The findings show that non-bank and accumulative firms, institutional ownership variables, and independent commissioners all have a significant impact on firm value. Meanwhile, in banking firms, the variable of managerial ownership has a significant impact on firm value. The impact of GCG on company value has shifted significantly after being moderated by IR. In banking firms, one variable (KM) has a significant effect on firm value, whereas KINS and KIND have no significant effect, and even KINS has a negative interaction. KINS and KIND have a significant effect in non-bank companies, but only KINS has a positive effect. In absolute terms, the influence of IR is positive for KM and KIND, but has no significant implications for KINS. Abstract

Digital transformation is imperative for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to endure and thrive within the dynamic contemporary business environment. Despite the Indonesian government's digital transformation goals for MSMEs, the realization of this goal remains far. This study aims to identify the key factors influencing the digital transformation of Indonesian MSMEs. Drawing from extensive prior research, we investigate the impact of government support, community support, digital orientation, and digital capabilities on MSMEs' digital transformation, and its effect on financial performance. To achieve this, an online survey was disseminated, capturing responses from 324 participants, and the data was analyzed using the SmartPLS 4. This research found that government support, digital orientation, and digital capabilities significantly influence digital transformation. However, community support shows no significant impact. Furthermore, our research reveals a substantial positive correlation between digital transformation and improved financial performance in Indonesian MSMEs, highlighting the profound business benefits of embracing digitalization. These findings emphasize the need to strengthen internal factors as a critical driver for accelerating digital transformation in Indonesian MSMEs.
