The results showed that the use of the eco-literacy module could improve the eco-literacy ability of elementary school students. The increase in ability is influenced by the activities of students and teachers in the learning process in the classroom. The eco-literacy module has a positive impact on students so that students become enthusiastic about learning so they don't feel bored when studying the material. Based on the research results, other schools need to implement eco-literacy-based learning modules in an effort to form better ecological literacy and the ability to solve environmental problems

Abstract

Politeness strategies are crucial to communicate with others in the community. This research aims to describe the politeness principle in students' language from the perspective of Madura culture in an Islamic boarding school environment. This research uses qualitative and descriptive research methods to present data directly obtained through recording. The subjects of the study were students and lecturers of the Al Karimiyyah Islamic Boarding School Sumenep. The data were collected by transcribing the conversation between students, teachers, and principals. The results of this study indicate that some sacred words contradict the principle of politeness in the cultural perspective of the Madurai community, especially at the level of the use of Madurai, including Engghih-Bunten, Enggih-enten, and Enjek-Iye. The politeness of the students’ language use in the Islamic Boarding School is influenced by the social background, circumstances, and the combination of boarding school and Madura cultures.

Abstract

We propose a Mutual Language Policy to mediate shared interests between Chinese and indigenous workers in minimalizing frictions related to language attitudes, socio-cultural attitudes, ideologies and identities. So far, language policy has only sided with indigenous interests initiated by the government and has not involved foreign interests. By using multiple case study, we analyzed language attitudes, socio-cultural attitudes, as well as ideologies and identities of Chinese and indigenous workers to understand the frictions that occurred. We found that the language attitude of the Chinese workers was considered positive while the dominant use of Mandarin was only caused by the lack of mastery of both Indonesian and English. Next, the socio-cultural attitude of Chinese workers that seemed exclusive was basically caused by two main things, firstly, their concern about counterculture and contra behavior towards indigenous people.Secondly, the social class in employment context. Finally, the defense of the ideology and identity of the indigenous community seemed so strong was because of the collective defense system. Shared interests among them in a mutual language policy concept are also discussed.

Abstract

The modern mass population is affected by the hoax phenomenon in the information age, which has a negative impact on productivity, information integration, and social stability. This paper aims to contribute to the public's understanding and response to hoaxes, with a focus on literary and digital literary criticism. In this case, a careful and structured qualitative descriptive is used to identify a hoax phenomenon. This approach comes from two different perspectives. While literature analysis addresses the characteristics and nature of the information in question, other approaches involve empirical methods to examine the impact of language use on readers' perceptions and responses to hoaxes. One more example is the use of an online form that requires the use of a questionnaire that is unique to each individual. The results of the survey, which had 108 responses, showed that media literacy, intensive education, and mass media consumption were all important factors in achieving this goal. The results of this research show that there are various types of fabrication that are commonly found in the computerized period, and each has its own characteristics. One research focus is on political tricks, which are often used to influence public opinion or damage the reputation of political opponents through the spread of false claims about policies or statements taken out of context. The findings of the survey indicate that the mass media's literacy rate has increased as a result of the verification of information and analysis.
