Abstract

Fenomenologi, dikonseptualisasikan oleh Edmund Husserl, berpusat pada pengalaman subjektif individu saat mereka terlibat dengan dan memanfaatkan bahasa (Husserl, 2012). fenomenologi berfokus pada bagaimana bahasa dipahami dan dialami oleh individu (Bonyadi, 2023). Pendekatan ini menghindari generalisasi kuantitatif dan lebih mengedepankan eksplorasi kualitatif atas makna dan persepsi bahasa oleh penutur (Ritunnano et al., 2023). Digunakan untuk menggali pengalaman subjektif pengguna bahasa, dengan fokus pada makna yang dihasilkan individu dalam penggunaan bahasa. Metode ini sering melibatkan teknik seperti wawancara mendalam dan analisis naratif, yang memungkinkan peneliti untuk memahami bagaimana individu membentuk makna melalui bahasa. Pendekatan fenomenologis dalam analisis historis bahasa menekankan pengalaman subjektif individu, menawarkan wawasan tentang bagaimana konteks pribadi dan sosial membentuk pemahaman bahasa. Fokus fenomenologi pada pengalaman subjektif sangat relevan dalam memahami penggunaan bahasa dalam konteks sejarah, seperti pengaturan kolonial, di mana dominasi budaya memainkan peran penting

Abstract

penelitian yang menggunakan positivisme telah secara efektif menerangi keterkaitan antara variabel sosial dan variasi linguistik, sebagaimana dibuktikan oleh studi Labov, (1971) tentang variasi fonologis di Philadelphia. berfokus pada fakta empiris yang dapat diamati, diukur, dan diverifikasi, dan sangat mendasari metodologi kuantitatif dalam penelitian. positivisme memungkinkan peneliti untuk mengumpulkan data kuantitatif yang dapat dianalisis secara statistik, seperti frekuensi penggunaan struktur sintaksis tertentu dalam bahasa kedua (L2). Tiga pendekatan utama yang sering digunakan dalam studi Bahasa adalah positivisme, neo-positivisme, dan fenomenologi. Ketiga pendekatan ini memiliki asumsi dasar yang berbeda tentang metode memahami bahasa, tetapi semuanya menawarkan pandangan penting tentang bagaimana studi Bahasa dapat dilakukan secara empiris dan analitis.

Abstract

The learning model, especially in learning Indonesian for bilingual students, is certainly different from non-bilingual students. The ideology used in Indonesian learning would obviously affect the learning climate in the classroom. In learning Indonesian, educators use an ideology that requires students to use the language itself. This research aims to develop an Indonesian learning design with a translanguaging approach. This approach will accommodate all bilingual students' linguistic repertoire ability in learning Indonesian as a second language and this model is expected to change the Indonesian learning climate for bilingual students. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) with three stages, namely 1) Needs analysis. 2) Product draft development. 3) Expert validation and product user trials. The results of the needs analysis found from the student and teacher questionnaires showed that bilingual students had difficulty in learning Indonesian. The development of the draft was carried out based on the theory of the translanguaging approach that had been carried out in previous research in foreign languages. The components of the model developed include learning stages, social systems, reaction principles, support systems, and instructional and accompanying impacts. The results of the validation test, the development of this model is feasible to use and from the results of the trial in the field, there is a change in the learning climate in the classroom using this translanguaging learning model.

Abstract

Keterampilan menulis salah satu keterampilan yang paling sukar dilakukan. Diperlukan suatu perubahan guna menstimulus siswa agar tertarik menulis. Animasi diharap dapat menjadi solusi dalam mempermudah rangsangan berpikir siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) menentukan kebutuhan terhadap produk bahan ajar menulis eksplanasi berbasis kontekstual dengan menggunakan animasi dengan memanfaatkan web animaker, 2) mendesain model bahan ajar menulis eksplanasi berbasis kontekstual dengan menggunakan animasi web animaker, 3) mengimplementasikan bahan ajar menulis eksplanasi berbasis kontekstual dengan menggunakan animasi web animaker, 4) menganalisis hasil validasi ahli dan uji kelayakan bahan ajar menulis eksplanasi berbasis kontekstual dengan menggunakan animasi web animaker. Metode penelitian menggunakan R&D. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan data selama di lapangan dan menganlisisnya secara kuantitatif maupun kualitatif. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE. Hasil pengembangan bahan ajar menggunakan animasi dapat meningkatkan nilai siswa dan minat siswa, ditujukkan berdasarkan hasil uji kelayakan bahan ajar mendapat rata-rata 3,8 dengan presentase 95% berkategori “Sangat Layak” dan skor rata-rata dari ahli media 3,76 atau presentase 94% dalam kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil umpan balik Guru Bahasa Indonesia di MA Annajah Petukang Jakarta Selatan diperoleh rata-rata 3,6 dengan presentase 90% dengan demikian dapat dikategorikan “Sangat Layak”. Uji coba skala kecil kepada 38 siswa memperoleh rata-rata 3,89 dan presentase 97,4%. Dengan demikian berdasarkan skala likert 3,21 sampai 4 dapat dikategorikan “Sangat Layak”.

Abstract

This study aimed at obtaining information from neurolinguistic perspective about how children with mental retardation experience language learning by focusing on syntax device and unit disorder. With a qualitative paradigm, this study involved three children with mental retardation aged 17, 12, and 13 years at a special school in East Jakarta. Data in the form of utterances from three children with mental retardation through communication interactions were collected and produced 12 recordings which were then analyzed by apply-ing content analysis technique. The results of this study indicated that there were 151 errors in the form of syntax unit disorder, and the most errors were in the form of the phrase unit, amounting to 61 errors. In terms of syntax device disorder, 37 errors were found, of which the most errors were in intonation defects, amounting to 12 errors. The conclusion of the study is that children with mental retardation experience language disorders in the form of syntax defects because they are influenced by neurological disorders. How-ever, we see that these findings should not be standard benchmarks for mental and neurological disorders, so we argue that the defects in the syntax devices and units exhibited by children with mental retardation should be seen as a componential model of language issue on which their language development should be more focused on the meaning they get from information. In other words, we cannot just stick to the results which state that children with mental retardation have language difficulties but we must focus more on what they can understand as meaningful language to them. Therefore, we recommend trying to approach it with the concept of componential model of language that may be applicable with some technologies as innovative teaching and learning for teachers as well as progressive education for the children with mental retardation for their language learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify real learning needs to meet the requirements of the 'Merdeka Belajar' [Freedom of Learning] concept initiated by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. This survey revealed the urgent needs of students, teachers, and institutions regarding implementing the 'Freedom of Learning' concept, as indicated by the responses of 1,935 teachers and students from various secondary schools in DKI Jakarta who completed self-designed questionnaires. These needs included freedom from formalities, adequate infrastructure, evaluation assessment systems aligned with the principle of free education, and full support from all stakeholders, particularly local government. The "Freedom of Learning" implications for government policies are also discussed.

Abstract

This study aims at analyzing the translation of English passive sentences into Indonesian language, in terms of the meanings and equivalence which appear in the translation. The method used to analyze the data is a descriptive quantitative. The sample of this research is taken from five chapters of the novel Hunger Games: Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. The result shows that the translation of passive sentences comes into several types of meanings: lexical meaning 37%, grammatical meaning 2%, textual meaning 5%, and contextual meaning 46%. The translation of passive sentences also falls into two types of equivalences: formal equivalence 35% and dynamic equivalence 60%. However, 5% belongs to no equivalent translation. In conclusion, the English passive sentences are mostly translated contextually so that the type of equivalence mostly appeared is dynamic equivalence. Hence, inventive ability, creativity, and experience are required to grasp the exact meaning of source text.
