Abstract

This research originates from the phenomenon of shifting communication patterns among adolescents, which are now increasingly mediated by mobile screens rather than direct physical encounters. The primary focus of this study is to conduct an in-depth analysis of the transformation in the frequency and characteristics of social interactions among teenagers in Tegal City as they transition from offline spaces to the online realm. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach through a comparative study, primary data were obtained from semi-structured interviews with informants aged 15–18. Social Information Processing (SIP) Theory serves as the analytical framework to observe the adaptation of social cues in the digital world. The results reveal that despite high daily social media usage—averaging more than 3 to 4 hours—the substantial intensity of conversation has not undergone a drastic change. Adolescents tend to compensate for the loss of non-verbal cues by using visual symbols, such as emojis and stickers, to minimize misunderstandings. Interestingly, the local identity in the form of the Tegal-Javanese dialect persists as a tool for building emotional closeness in both mediums. This study concludes that while social media excels in terms of coordination, organic intimacy and conflict resolution still rely on the richness of face-to-face interaction. The resulting transformation has birthed a hybrid interaction pattern, where the digital universe functions as a medium for relationship maintenance, while physical meetings remain the primary anchor for building emotional depth and mutual trust.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the growing popularity of Mobile Legends  among adolescents, which may influence their social behavior. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of  online game usage on changes in adolescents’ social behavior in Lebeteng Village, Tarub District, Tegal Regency where phenomena such as juvenile delinquency and the misuse of social media have emerged in relation to the game. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using $S-$R. Data were collected through Likert scale questionnaires distributed to 232 adolescents and analyzed using simple linear regression. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, meeting the assumptions for parametric analysis. The results indicate a significant effect of  usage on changes in adolescents’ social behavior, showing a strong and positive relationship. These findings suggest that higher intensity of online game usage is associated with greater changes in social behavior. The study concludes that  functions as a stimulus that directly shapes adolescents’ social behavior responses, highlighting the importance of managing online game usage to maintain healthy social interactions.Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari tingginya minat remaja terhadap game online Mobile Legends yang diduga berdampak pada perilaku sosial mereka. Studi ini bertujuan menguji seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan Mobile Legends terhadap perubahan perilaku sosial remaja di Desa Lebeteng, Kecamatan Tarub, Kabupaten Tegal yang memiliki fenomena kenakalan remaha dan penyalahgunaan media akibat dari Mobile Legends. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan landasan teori S R sebagai kerangka analisis. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner skala Likert yang dibagikan kepada 232 remaja, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal sehingga layak dianalisis secara parametrik. Temuan penelitian membuktikan adanya pengaruh signifikan antara intensitas bermain Mobile Legends dan perubahan perilaku sosial dengan hubungan yang kuat serta searah dengan nilai R Square sebesar 0.832 hal ini atau 83,2% perubahan sosial remaja dipengaruhi oleh Mobile Legends. Artinya, semakin sering remaja bermain, semakin besar kecenderungan perubahan perilaku sosial yang muncul. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa Mobile Legends berfungsi sebagai stimulus yang memicu respons perilaku sosial remaja, sehingga penggunaan game perlu dikendalikan agar tidak mengganggu interaksi sosial dalam kehidupan sehari hari.

Abstract

The increasing competition in the marketing world in various aspects, makes the convection industry must be smart in attracting consumers. The convection industry is required not only to rely on product quality alone, but also requires an effective marketing strategy to build public trust and loyalty. This study focuses on the digital marketing communication strategy of Simple Cloth Industry. The problem that arises in this study is the need for uniforms, sashes, work shirts and other convections that require a trusted convection. Simple Cloth Industry has a great opportunity to market its convection business by providing direct offers and making Instagram the best portfolio in its business. This research method uses qualitative descriptive with the marketing mix theory from Kotler & Keller. Data collection techniques are obtained from the results of observations and interviews with Simple Cloth Industry. This study shows that Simple Cloth Industry has used Instagram in accordance with the theory of Kotler & Keller regarding the marketing mix, namely product optimization, price, location and promotion. Thus Simple Cloth Industry can develop until now because of the digital promotion that continues to grow. This study also found that Simple Cloth Industry has succeeded in creating strong relationships with customers through the use of structured and consistent social media so that relationships are well established.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how Javanese women's beauty is represented in the TikTok content of @darasarasvati and to analyze how local cultural symbols are reinterpreted within the context of digital aesthetics using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. Through the analysis of signs consisting of signifiers and signifieds including denotative, connotative, and mythological meanings this study reveals how local cultural symbols such as kebaya, skin tone, traditional music, and captions are reinterpreted through digital visual aesthetics. The findings show that TikTok functions as a space for identity negotiation, where tradition is blended with global trends in an aesthetic and viral format. The kebaya is no longer seen merely as traditional attire but as a symbol of the modern, elegant woman. Bright skin tones, visual filters, and transition effects also reflect the dominance of global beauty standards over local values. This research concludes that social media is not a neutral platform but a site of ideological production that constructs new myths about the ideal Javanese woman: beautiful, cultured, and modern.
