Abstract

Financial literacy in Indonesia, especially in the context of sharia financial literacy, shows an alarming level. Financial literacy includes the ability to read, analyze, manage and communicate personal financial conditions. The World Bank survey places Indonesia in the third lowest ranking globally in terms of financial literacy, behind India and China. Data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) shows that in 2013 and 2016, only around 21.84% and 29.66% of the Indonesian adult population had adequate financial literacy, with the figure among MSMEs even lower, namely 18.71%. An OJK webinar in 2022 revealed that the sharia economic literacy index had only reached 23.3%, far below the national financial literacy index of 49%. This imbalance highlights the need for broader educational efforts to increase public understanding of Islamic financial products. Even though financial education is the key to increasing literacy, in Indonesia, financial education is still rare in schools and universities. Developed countries have actively promoted financial education, while big challenges still exist in Indonesia. In the Islamic context, financial literacy also includes understanding muamalah maaliyah law to ensure halal and fair transactions. This research aims to explore and understand aspects of sharia financial literacy and inclusion through a qualitative approach, with observations and literature reviews in Bekasi Regency. It is hoped that this research can provide in-depth insights and recommendations to increase sharia financial literacy and inclusion more effectively.

Abstract

Bekasi Regency is one of the industrial areas in West Java. So various kinds of factories produce various kinds of products. With so many factories in Bekasi Regency, it will lead to a higher level of urbanization or population movement from villages to cities in order to earn a living and change their destiny. From the data obtained, from the Bekasi Regency BPS data in 2015 the population was 72,911 people, in 2016 the population was 92,595, in 2017 the population was 95,316, in 2018 the population was 100,714, and in 2019 the population was 103,535. And over time, the need for housing facilities to support their lives in urban areas will increase. And of course, surely the nomads and natives will start building a family and settle in Bekasi Regency. So the need for health facilities will definitely increase, for example, hospitals. In this case, from the data obtained, the number of RSIA facilities in Bekasi Regency is still minimal, especially in Central Cikarang District which does not have any Hospital facilities or Mother and Child Hospital. Therefore, it is necessary to plan for the procurement of RSIA in Central Cikarang District with a behavior architecture approach. This behavior architecture functions as a bridge to change the mood of building users when they are active in it. This concept can be implemented to building elements such as the concept of tread, interior, material and color. By analyzing the behavior, especially the mother and child, it will create an atmosphere of fun play space inside and outside the building so that the healing process can be faster. And the use of open areas as healing gardens in hospitals is also a solution to be applied in Bekasi Regency, if you look at behavioral architecture. With the addition of this green space, in addition to reducing pollution and excessive heat, it can also have an effect on the patient's healing process. Abstract

This study examines the representation of family conflict in the film Home Sweet Loan using Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic approach. Family conflict is understood as an unavoidable social reality, often triggered by unequal role distribution, miscommunication, and economic pressure. The film Home Sweet Loan was chosen as the object of analysis because it portrays the emotional struggles of Kaluna, a young woman who faces various forms of domestic tension, including unequal household responsibilities, financial burdens stemming from her brother’s debt, and limited personal space in her extended family home. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method through close observation of seven selected scenes, which were analyzed using Peirce’s triadic model consisting of representamen, object, and interpretant. The findings reveal that the film represents three categories of family conflict as classified by Joseph A. Devito; role conflict, resource conflict, and communication conflict. Imbalanced expectations, competition over limited family resources, and unilateral decision-making create emotional strain that shapes the narrative trajectory. Visual signs and symbolic elements in the film effectively illustrate Kaluna’s psychological burden and the unequal distribution of familial roles. The study concludes that Home Sweet Loan serves not only as entertainment but also as a form of social reflection, emphasizing the importance of open communication, empathy, and fairness in maintaining harmony within the family.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between learning readiness and students' argumentation patterns in mathematics learning, and to describe these patterns using Toulmin's argumentation model. Using a mixed-methods approach with a parallel convergent design, this study was conducted in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Gresik in 5 parallel courses. Subjects were selected through purposive sampling, resulting in three students with different learning readiness levels: advanced, developing, and needing guidance. Data were obtained through tests, think-aloud, and interviews. The data obtained consisted of quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data in the form of student argumentation ability scores were subjected to statistical tests to determine their correlation with the level of learning readiness. At the same time, the qualitative data obtained were identified based on Toulmin's argumentation pattern. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed a positive correlation between learning readiness and students' argumentation ability in mathematics learning. Additionally, it was found that students with different learning readiness categories exhibited distinct mathematical argumentation patterns. In students with learning readiness who need guidance, the argumentation patterns used are claim, ground, and warrant. Students with developing and advanced learning readiness exhibit argumentation patterns, which include claims, bases, warrants, support, and qualifications. This study differs from previous studies in that learning readiness is measured by the ability to understand prerequisite material, rather than general learning readiness.

Abstract

This study investigates the experiences and challenges of lecturers and students in the English Tadris Study Program of IAIN Curup in using AI writing tools for academic work. Using a qualitative approach with purposive sampling, data were collected from one lecturer and ten students through interviews, supported by a preliminary pilot study confirming the integration of AI in academic writing practices. The findings reveal that AI enhances idea development, organization, syntactic accuracy, vocabulary refinement, and writing confidence, functioning as a cognitive accelerator that streamlines the writing process. However, significant challenges emerge, including shallow idea generation, rigid structures, machine-like language, inaccurate citations, limited access to premium AI features, and insufficient prompt literacy. The discussion highlights deeper pedagogical implications, particularly the shifting paradigm from “writing as creation” to “writing as collaboration,” emphasizing the lecturer’s role as mediator of ethical AI use. Psychological transformations also appear, where efficiency leads to dependency, forming a “comfort paradox” that threatens independent thinking and authorial identity. The study concludes with recommendations for institutional AI guidelines, AI literacy integration, equitable access, and pedagogical redesign to balance automation with originality.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), particularly the proliferation of the internet and Artificial Intelligence (AI), has fundamentally transformed global society. While these developments offer significant benefits, they pose complex challenges to the right to privacy and personal data protection. This study employs a normative legal research method to examine the legal and cultural frameworks governing data privacy in the digital era. It analyzes the existing legislation and legal materials to define and classify the scope of privacy rights amidst the digital revolution. Furthermore, this research investigates the intersection between legal regulations and cultural values, arguing that global digitalization requires not only robust legal mechanisms but also a profound understanding of cultural implications. The findings suggest that current legal frameworks must adapt to the swift evolution of AI and the borderless nature of the digital economy while respecting diverse cultural approaches to privacy
