Abstract

Sugarcane bagasse is waste from the sugar industry which has the potential to be an efficient fuel for producing electricity by converting heat energy into electrical energy using a Thermoelectric Generator (TEG). TEG can be optimized to burn sugarcane bagasse as an alternative energy source in Indonesia. This research uses series and parallel configurations to test the optimal TEG configuration to increase energy conversion efficiency. The research results revealed that supercapacitors' parallel configuration produced the highest power in the 66th minute at 0.26 W. In comparison, the series configuration with supercapacitors produced 0.21 W of power in the 63rd minute. For the parallel configuration without supercapacitors, the energy produced reaches 0.20 W in the 69th minute, and the series configuration without supercapacitors produces 0.19 W in the 63rd minute. The parallel configuration shows more optimal performance than the series configuration, making it a promising solution in diversifying energy sources, especially in supporting efforts to utilize agricultural waste sustainably. Optimization of the thermoelectric generator configuration for burning sugarcane bagasse can be used as an alternative energy source.

Abstract

Teknik pemisahan residu gliserol dari MDAG yang diproduksi dengan cara gliserolisis paling efektif adalah dengan menggunakan Short Path Distillation (SPD) atau distilasi molekuler yang masih merupakan teknologi mahal dan canggih sehingga sulit untuk diaplikasikan secara luas. Ekstraksi dan fraksinasi menggunakan pelarut merupakan teknik pemisahan residu gliserol yang lain, teknik ini telah dikembangkan oleh beberapa peneliti, tetapi panjangnya prosedur pengerjaan dan adanya kemungkinan sisa pelarut dalam produk akhir menjadi kendala tersendiri. Penelitian ini mempelajari pemisahan residu gliserol dari MDAG hasil proses gliserolisis melalui proses demulsifikasi pembentukan krim dengan atau tanpa penambahan larutan pada berbagai suhu minyak sehingga terbentuk krim dan skim yang mudah dipisahkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemisahan gliserol dari sistem emulsinya, dengan metode demulsifikasi pembentukan krim paling efektif jika dilakukan pada suhu tinggi (65oC) karena pada suhu tersebut minyak memiliki densitas yang paling rendah dan akan berada pada bagian atas dalam reaktor pemisah residu gliserol saat sistem emulsinya mengalami instabilitas (creaming) sehingga lebih mudah dipisahkan. Pemurnian MDAG dengan cara demulsifikasi pembentukan krim tanpa penambahan air hanya mampu menurunkan kandungan gliserol maksimal sebesar 37%; sisa gliserol yang masih berada dalam produk akhir sekitar 9.17% dirasakan masih terlalu tinggi untuk dapat dikatakan sebagai MDAG murni. Pemurnian dengan cara demulsifikasi pembentukan krim dengan penambahan air suling menghasilkan MDAG dengan kandungan gliserol berkisar aintara 4.05—6.59%. Pemurnian dengan cara demulsifikasi pembentukan krim dengan penambahan larutan elektrolit menghasilkan MDAG dengan kandungan gliserol berkisar antara 1.94—1.95% (tanpa proses sentrifugasi) dan 0.02-0.05% (dengan sentrifugasi 2000 rpm selama 5 menit).

Abstract

Pembuatan kopi seduh instan menggunakan metode kokristalisasi sangat dipengaruhi oleh konsentrasi sukrosa (gula pasir) yang digunakan sebagai agen pengkristal. Lima taraf konsentrasi gula pasir (15, 25, 35, 45 dan 55%) dipelajari pengaruhnya terhadap sifat fisiko-kimia kopi instan Liberika Tungkal Jambi. Perlakuan diterapkan dalam rancangan acak lengkap 4 kali ulangan. Bubuk kopi diekstak menggunakan ekstraktor khusus kopi pada perbandingan air panas/kopi sebesar 15/1. Parameter yang diamati adalah kadar air, kadar abu, pH, kelarutan, dan total padatan terlarut. Terhadap data yang diperoleh dilakukan analisis ragam dan uji lanjut DNMRT pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi gula berpengaruh nyata terhadap kadar air, kadar abu, pH, dan total padatan terlarut tetapi tidak untuk kelarutan. Konsentrasi gula yang optimal untuk menghasilkan kopi instan Liberika Tungkal Jambi dengan mutu yang terbaik adalah 25%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine how the financial performance of PT Indofood CBP Sukses makmur Tbk, using the Economic Value added (EVA) analysis method. In this study, the population and samples taken were the financial statements of PT Indofood CBP Sukses makmur Tbk in 2015-2019.the data collection technique in this study was documentation and literatur study, the technicial data analysisused was the comparative technique. The results the of this study indicate that the financial perperformance of PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk. In 2015- 2019 the company is doing well. The EVA Value obtained is greater (>) than 0 so that there is an economic value added process (NITAMI) for the company because the available profit can meet stakeholders, especially investors. Because the NOPAT value is greater than the Cost of Capital each year, it results in a positive EVA, namely, EVA>0. Keywords : financial performance, Economic Value added (EVA). ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kinerja keuangan PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk, dengan menggunakan metode analisis Economic Value Added (EVA). Dalam penelitian ini populasi dan sampel yang diambil yaitu laporan keuangan PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk tahun 2015-2019. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi dan studi pustaka, teknis analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik komparaktif. Tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan laba secara simultan Retrun On Equity (ROE), Retrn On Invesment (ROI), dan Net Profit Margin (NPM) berpengaruh Signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan laba. Bagi para calon investor dan emiten ( perusahaan ) sebaiknya lebih memperhatikan kinerja perusahaan terlebih dahulu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kinerja keuangan PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk. Pada tahun 2015-2019 perusahaan dalam keadaan baik. Nilai EVA yang di peroleh lebih besar (>) dari 0 sehingga terjadi proses nilai tambah ekonomis (NITAMI) bagi perusahaan karena laba yang tersedia bisa memenuhi stakeholder terutama investor. Karena nilai NOPAT lebih besar dari Biaya Modal setiap tahunnya sehingga mengakibatkan EVA yang positif yaitu, EVA > 0. Keywords : Kinerja Keuangan, Economic Value Edded (EVA).

Abstract

This research aims to test the hypothesis of Financial Ratio Analysis in Predicting Profit Growth in Banking Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). This research uses quantitative methods. The population in this study was 47 banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The sample in this research consisted of 12 companies with data on 60 banking companies. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with the criteria of all banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The data analysis technique in the research uses the classic assumption test, which consists of the normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, autocorrelation test, multiole linear analysis, hypothesis testing consisting of the t test (partial) and f test (simultaneous), and the coefficient test determination (R2). The results of the t test hypothesis test concluded that partially Return On Asset (ROA) had no effect on profit, Net Profit Margin (NPM) has no effect on profit growth, Return On Equity (ROE) has a positive effect on profit growth. Meanwhile, simultaneously. Return On Asset (ROA) had no effect on the profit growth, Net Profit Margin (NPM) had no effect on profit growth, and Return On Equity (ROE) has a positive effect on profit growth. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the variables Return On Asset (ROA), Net Profit Margin (NPM), and Return On Equity (ROE) together on the variable profit growth. Abstract

Perpindahan kalor adalah energi yang bergerak dari suatu tempat ke tempat lain akibat perubahan suhu dalam suatu sistem atau objek. Perpindahan kalor dapat terjadi melalui konduksi, konveksi, dan radiasi, dengan perpindahan secara konduksi terjadi karena suhu yang lebih tinggi pada suatu objek berpindah ke tempat dengan suhu lebih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensimulasikan perpindahan kalor secara konduksi dua dimensi pada medium pelat aluminium menggunakan metode Forward Time Central Space (FTCS). Simulasi dilakukan melalui analisis numerik menggunakan software MATLAB, dengan perbandingan terhadap solusi analitik untuk mengevaluasi distribusi perpindahan kalor yang terjadi. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan distribusi perpindahan kalor yang divisualisasikan serta tingkat keakuratan metode numerik FTCS dibandingkan solusi analitik. Persentase keakuratan yang diperoleh sebesar 65,19%, menunjukkan bahwa metode FTCS kurang optimal untuk simulasi perpindahan panas dua dimensi pada pelat aluminium. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami keterbatasan metode FTCS dalam simulasi numerik perpindahan kalor dan mengusulkan potensi metode alternatif untuk akurasi yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika, bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan motivasi belajar siswa menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning berbantuan aplikasi quizizz. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Pintu Rime Gayo, Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas XI-A sebagai kelas eksperimen sebanyak 21 siswa dan kelas XI-B sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 21 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan angket motivasi belajar siswa. Data diolah menggunakan software SPPS versi 18. Analisis data yang dilakukan untuk tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis menggunakan uji parametrik (Shapiro Wilk). Nilai asymp sig, (2-tailed) adalah 0,000 < 0,05, maka H0ditolak dan Ha diterima. Kemudian untuk analisis angket motivasi siswa menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas. Uji hipotesis dengan nilai signifikan Ë‚ 0.05 yaitu 0,000, maka H0ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan motivasi belajar siswa menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning berbantuan aplikasi quizizz di SMAN 2 Pintu Rime Gayo.

Abstract

The incidence of violence against women in South Kalimantan has significantly increased, from 531 cases in 2023 to 655 cases in 2024. Amid these rising numbers, a cultural narrative surrounding urang mati jadi hantu (the dead becoming ghosts) often emerges in connection with the deaths of women victims of violence. This study explores the relationship between supernatural beliefs and violence against women in Banjar society, focusing on the use of mystical practices by victims as a form of self-defense, analyzed through the lens of the Learned Helplessness theory. Using Spradley’s ethnographic method, the research was conducted across six regions in South Kalimantan, involving informants familiar with the phenomenon. The findings reveal four patterns in the use of mystical practices: to protect against social stigma, respond to physical violence, manage verbal abuse, and prevent marital infidelity. The analysis, framed by the Learned Helplessness theory, suggests that reliance on mystical practices reflects victims' powerlessness and the inadequacies of formal protection systems. Rather than alleviating their situation, these practices exacerbate it by perpetuating social stigma, even after the victim’s death. The study concludes that more effective protection systems are needed, ones that balance cultural sensitivities with concrete legal and psychosocial interventions in addressing violence against women. Abstract

The cooling rate and temperature of crystallization has been proven to be very influential on the rate of crystal formation oil. Oil crystallization kinetics can be measured by monitoring changes in the solid fat content(SFC) of oil during cooling process. In this study, SFC measuredusing pulsed Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (pNMR). Four levels of cooling rates and temperature crystallization studied. Crystallization kinetics parameters were measured by applying the model of Gompertz. Gompertz model used to explain the induction time, the increase in the maximum rate of crystallization and the crystalline polymorphic. Crystallization was done by heating the oil at a temperature of 70°C for 10 minutes prior to rapid cooling to 29°C. Then, rate of cooling from 29°C to the crystallization temperature (critical cooling rate) was set below 2°C/minutes. During the process, the oil was stirred at 15 rpm. Solid fraction was measured periodically since the crystallization temperature was reached until maximum solid fraction was achieved. The results showed that the Gompertzmodel able to quantitatively describe the crystallization kinetics of coconut oil. Lower critical cooling rate reduces the induction time of crystallization but accelerate the maximum increase rate of crystallization. Crystallization temperature has a negative correlation with the induction time and the maximum increase rate of crystallization. In the crystallization of coconut oil, critical cooling rate and crystallization temperature are only influence on the thermodynamics and kinetics of crystallization but not on its polymorphic formation.

Abstract

Abstract— Efforts to develop the production technology of high quality red palm-oil (RPO) in order to provide source of food ingredient that naturally rich of nutrients, become urgents regarding the need of such products drastically increased recently.  Application of deodorization technology by temperature, time, and deodorizer pressure combinations (engineering of deodorization process) are studied and evaluated to obtain good quality of RPO. Crude palm oil (CPO) used  in this  research were supplied by PT. Salim Ivomas (Bimoli) Jakarta. The equipments used were degumming and neutralization unit, deodorization unit and other equipment units to analize the oil physico-chemical properties. The research consisted of 5 stages as the following: characterising CPO physico-chemical properties, conducting chemically degumming and deacidification, process enginering of deodorization, characterizing of physico-chemical properties and organoleptic of RPO resulted, and analyzing data for product resulted from process engineering applied. Deodorization with the range of temperature and process duration of 135–145 oC (408–418 K) and 1–4 hours have led to carotene retention decreasing (%) following the equation “Carotene Retention (%) = -764 x ln(absolute temperature) + 4693” and process duration with the equation “Carotene Retention (%) = -7.81 x ln(process duration) + 91.02”; and also resulted odor intensity with the equation “Odor Intensity = 0.08 x (squared absolute temperature) – 66.88 x (absolute temperature) + 13823” and duration process with the equation “Odor Intensity = 0.315 x (squared process duration) – 1.52 x (process duration) + 5.268”. Effective deodorization to produce RPO with the content of free fatty acid and peroxide value that met the requirements of Indonesian National Standard (SNI) quality of carotene content above 400 ppm and odor scale below 3.3, were the combination of temperature (T) of 141.34 oC, heat process duration (t) of 2.35 hours and vacuum pressure of (P) of 20 mmHg. The resulted RPO contained free fatty acid and peroxide value of 0.11% dan 0.12 meq/kg oil respectively, total carotene of 444.09 ppm and odor value of 3.21
