Abstract

Literacy is an important foundation in education. However, there are still many students who do not have good literacy skills. This can be caused by various factors, such as lack of interest in reading which has an impact on learning outcomes. The Campus Teaching Program is a strategic effort to improve the quality of education in improving literacy. The objectives of this study were (1) to determine the literacy activities of students in the campus teaching program (2) to determine the learning outcomes of class VIII students of Al-Azhar Plus Bogor Middle School (3) to determine the effect of literacy activities in the campus teaching program on the learning outcomes of class VIII students of Al-Azhar Plus Bogor Middle School. Quantitative research with an associative approach using questionnaires and documentation. In this study, literacy activities had a significant effect on learning outcomes (regression coefficient 0.315; sig. 0.039 <0.05), although its contribution was only 1.1%. Campus Teaching Literacy is effective in improving learning outcomes, but it needs to be supported by other factors such as motivation and learning methods. Abstrak Literasi merupakan fondasi penting dalam pendidikan. Namun, masih banyak siswa yang belum memiliki kemampuan literasi yang baik. Hal ini dapat disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor, seperti kurangnya minat baca yang berdampak pada hasil belajar. Program Kampus Mengajar merupakan upaya strategis untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dalam meningkatkan literasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui kegiatan literasi siswa/i program kampus mengajar (2) mengetahui hasil belajar siswa/i kelas VIII SMP Al-Azhar Plus Bogor (3) mengetahui pengaruh kegiatan literasi program kampus mengajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa/i kelas VIII SMP Al-Azhar Plus Bogor. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini kegiatan literasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar (koefisien regresi 0,315; sig. 0,039 < 0,05), meskipun kontribusinya hanya 1,1%. Literasi Kampus Mengajar efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar, namun perlu didukung faktor lain seperti motivasi dan metode pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study explores the crucial role of public speaking skills in enhancing the effectiveness of Hajj guidance. As part of 21st-century competencies, public speaking not only facilitates communication but also serves as a strategic tool for delivering religious messages in a compelling and meaningful manner. In the context of Hajj guidance, strong public speaking skills help build confidence, reinforce authority, and prevent miscommunication. Through a literature review, this article examines key components of public speaking such as interpersonal communication, credibility of hajj pilgrimage guide as a speaker, content mastery, and the application of public communication psychology. The findings suggest that well-developed public speaking skills can improve communication effectiveness, support spiritual development, and contribute to a smooth and solemn Hajj experience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang Game edukasi matematika berbasis aplikasi Scratch pada materi Statistika untuk siswa kelas X Perhotelan di SMKS Miftahul Ihsan Cilograng. Dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana merancang Game edukasi matematika materi Statistika menggunakan aplikasi Scratch sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif untuk siswa kelas X Perhotelan di SMKS Miftahul Ihsan Cilograng. Pengembangan dilakukan menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) Penggabungan ADDIE yang mencakup tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Kelayakan konten dinilai oleh ahli materi dengan persentase 100%, menunjukkan bahwa gameini sangat baik, sesuai dengan kurikulum Merdeka, dan mudah dipahami siswa. Dari segi kualitas media, ahli media memberikan penilaian 86,6%, menyatakan gameini sangat layak dalam aspek tampilan, navigasi, dan audio. Pengujian blackbox menunjukkan seluruh fitur gameberfungsi dengan baik. Selain itu, siswa memberikan respon sangat positif dengan nilai 90%, menyatakan game edukasi ini menarik dan sangat layak sebagai media pembelajaran Statistika.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between hand muscle strength and hand-eye coordination with underhand passing skills in volleyball extracurricular students at SMPN 1 Talegong. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. Data were collected directly during extracurricular training sessions through a series of tests conducted in sequence. Each student participated in a hand muscle strength test, a hand–eye coordination test, and an underhand passing skills test. The study sample consisted of 20 male students who actively participate in volleyball training. The results showed that the data were normally distributed and the relationship between variables was linear. The correlation test showed a positive and significant relationship between hand muscle strength and underhand passing skills, as well as between hand-eye coordination and underhand passing skills. In addition, the double correlation between hand muscle strength and hand-eye coordination with underhand passing skills was also significant. These findings indicate that increasing hand muscle strength and hand-eye coordination together can improve underhand passing skills in volleyball students. Therefore, it is recommended that volleyball training programs in schools emphasize the development of these two aspects to improve player performance. This research provides an important contribution to sports development, particularly in the development of volleyball underhand passing techniques.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the values of Islamic education contained in the book The Art of Life by Abu Bassam Oemar Mita. This book is a non-fiction literary work that is full of moral and spiritual messages that are packaged in reflective and easy-to-understand language. This study uses a qualitative method using a library research approach and content analysis techniques to identify and examine the meanings contained in the text. The results show that this book contains Islamic educational values which include Aqidah values (faith in Allah Ta'ala and patience in facing life tests) and Akhlak values (sincerity, empathy, morals towards oneself, family, and in studying). The book does not explicitly discuss sharia or worship, but conveys these values implicitly through life narratives that guide readers to strengthen their spiritual relationship with Allah Ta'ala and improve themselves morally. This finding shows that da'wah literature such as The Art of Life book can be an effective educational medium in shaping Islamic character amidst the challenges of the modern era. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam yang terdapat dalam buku The Art of Life karya Abu Bassam Oemar Mita. Buku ini merupakan sebuah karya sastra non fiksi yang sarat dengan pesan-pesan moral dan spiritual yang dikemas dalam bahasa reflektif dan mudah dipahami. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan library research (studi kepustakaan) serta teknik analisis isi untuk mengidentifikasi serta mengkaji makna-makna yang terkandung dalam teks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku ini mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam yang meliputi nilai Aqidah (iman kepada Allah Ta’ala dan kesabaran dalam menghadapi ujian hidup) serta nilai Akhlak (ikhlas, empati, akhlak terhadap diri sendiri, keluarga, dan dalam menuntut ilmu). Buku ini tidak secara eksplisit membahas syariat atau ibadah, tetapi menyampaikan nilai-nilai tersebut secara tersirat melalui narasi kehidupan yang membimbing pembaca untuk memperkuat hubungan spiritual dengan Allah Ta’ala dan memperbaiki diri secara moral. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa sastra dakwah seperti buku The Art of Life dapat menjadi media pendidikan yang efektif dalam membentuk karakter Islami di tengah tantangan era modern.

Abstract

Pondok pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan Islam yang tidak hanya mengajarkan ilmu keagamaan, tetapi juga membina akhlak dan kepribadian santri. Dalam proses pembinaan akhlaqul karimah, komunikasi antara pengurus dan santri memegang peran penting, khususnya dalam menciptakan suasana yang mendukung perubahan perilaku. Salah satu bentuk komunikasi yang dominan digunakan adalah komunikasi interpersonal, yaitu komunikasi dua arah yang bersifat langsung dan melibatkan unsur emosional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi komunikasi interpersonal pengurus Ikatan Santri Putri (ISPI) dalam mengimplementasikan nilai akhlaqul karimah di Pondok Pesantren Al-Qur’an Nurul Furqon 1 Cibinong, serta bagaimana pengurus mendampingi santri dalam penerapan nilai-nilai tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dianalisis dengan mereduksi, menyajikan, dan menarik kesimpulan dari data yang diperoleh di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi interpersonal pengurus ISPI dilakukan dengan pendekatan yang empati, personal, dan edukatif. Pengurus tidak hanya menyampaikan aturan, tetapi juga menjelaskan alasan di balik aturan tersebut dan memberikan pendampingan emosional kepada santri, terutama yang memiliki kecenderungan melanggar. Di sisi lain, santri yang tidak bermasalah menunjukkan implementasi nilai akhlaqul karimah melalui sikap disiplin, jujur, sopan, dan peduli terhadap sesama. Temuan ini dikaitkan dengan teori Interasksi Simbolik George Herbert Mead dan Teori Ketidakcocokan Pikiran Festinger, serta teori akhlak Ibn Miskawaih yang menekankan pentingnya pembiasaan, keseimbangan jiwa, dan pendidikan akhlak secara berkelanjutan. Pengurus ISPI perlu mengembangkan sistem evaluasi yang lebih efektif demi meningkatkan kemampuan pengurus ISPI dalam mengevaluasi kemajuan santri dalam mengimplementasikan nilai akhlaqul karimah

Abstract

Introduction: Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder that can cause disturbances in thinking, emotions, and behavior, including the emergence of violent behavior due to an individual's inability to manage emotions, especially anger. One non-pharmacological approach that can be used to help control anger is pillow-hitting therapy. Objective: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of pillow hitting therapy in controlling anger in schizophrenia patients at risk of violent behavior. Method: The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach and a control group. The study sample consisted of schizophrenia patients at risk for violent behavior, divided into two groups: an intervention group given pillow-hitting therapy, and a control group not given the intervention. Result: The results of the study showed a significant decrease in anger levels in the intervention group after being given therapy. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that pillow hitting therapy is effective in helping to control anger in schizophrenia patients at risk of violent behavior, so it can be recommended as a nursing intervention strategy in mental health services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of instructor competence and work motivation on instructor performance and its implications on the quality of graduates with a case study on Flight Operation Officer (FOO). The method used is quantitative with a survey approach. A total of 83 respondents who were FOO instructors were used as research samples. The data analysis technique uses path analysis to test the direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results of the study show that the competence of instructors has the greatest influence on instructor performance, both directly and indirectly through work motivation. Work motivation has also been shown to have a significant effect on improving instructor performance. Simultaneously, competence and motivation contribute significantly to instructor performance, and instructor performance has been shown to have strong implications for the quality of graduates. This finding confirms that improving the competence and motivation of instructors is a strategic factor in ensuring the quality of graduates in the field of aviation operations.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of emotional intelligence on job performance, with work experience as a moderating variable. Employing a quantitative approach with a descriptive-verificative design, data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to all 62 employees. The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results reveal that emotional intelligence has a significant and positive effect on job performance. Employees with higher emotional intelligence demonstrate greater interpersonal competence, adaptability, and decision-making effectiveness—attributes that are essential in healthcare service delivery. Moreover, work experience also positively influences job performance, suggesting that practical exposure enhances task proficiency and professional maturity. Importantly, the study confirms a significant moderating effect of work experience in the relationship between emotional intelligence and job performance, indicating that experience strengthens the positive impact of emotional intelligence. These findings underscore the importance of fostering both emotional intelligence and relevant work experience to improve individual and organizational performance, particularly in service-oriented public institutions such as community health centers.

Abstract

Research on thin-tailed sheep (TTS) via quantitative and molecular characterization is essential for obtaining primary data on genetic diversity. The quantitative description includes body weight, weight gain, and body measurements. Molecular characterization is performed directly on structural genes. One gene that affects livestock growth and metabolism is the growth hormone (GH) gene. The commonly used method is PCR-RFLP. The research was conducted in two stages. Field research was conducted to obtain quantitative characteristic data, including body weight, weight gain, and body measurements, as well as blood samples from 62 TTS (31 males and 31 females). Research in the laboratory includes DNA extraction, PCR amplification, and restriction with the Msp1 enzyme. Data analysis included a t test to calculate the differences in body weight, weight gain, and body size between male and female TTS. T2-hotelling was used to compare the morphometric body sizes of the male and female TTS simultaneously, and principal component analysis was used to determine the body shape and size characteristics of the male and female TTS. The results revealed that the male TTS mean body weight, weight gain, and body size were significantly (P<0.05) greater than those of the female TTS. The results of the molecular analysis of the GH gene with the MspI cutting enzyme revealed that it is monomorphic with the ++ genotype. Conclusion: Body weight, weight gain, and body size were greater in males with TTS than in females with TTS. The body size characteristics of male and female TTS patients were body length, shoulder height, and chest circumference. The body shape characteristic was chest depth. The restriction of the GH|Msp1 TTS gene DNA fragment in exon 5 in the Muara Tembesi district is monomorphic.
