Abstract

This study aims to analyse the personality traits of students at Madrasah Salafiyah Ulya Nashrus Sunnah and understand how an educational process that combines the Salafiyah method, memorisation of the Qur'an, and religious understanding can shape students' characters to be disciplined, responsible, and honest. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data is analysed using three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion description/verification. The results of the study show that 95% of students arrive on time for Halaqoh and morning dzikir, reflecting high discipline. Additionally, 90% of students did not engage in academic misconduct, and 100% of students participated in congregational obligatory prayers. Character development was achieved through habit formation, teacher modelling, and collaboration with parents. These findings indicate that character education in this madrasah successfully cultivates individuals who are not only academically intelligent but also possess good moral character. In conclusion, the implementation of an educational method that integrates Islamic values and positive habits significantly contributes to the development of students' character, making them more disciplined, responsible, and honest. This study emphasises the importance of character education in creating a balanced and quality generation, ready to face the challenges of the times with strong religious principles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the model of integration of Islamic boarding school curriculum based on Islamic values and technology at Pesantren Sintesa Magetan, which combines religious learning and digital skills in one integrated education system. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, collecting data through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, involving caregivers, teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that the Pesantren Sintesa curriculum integrates tahfidz teaching, book studies, and digital skills such as digital marketing, web management, and multimedia simultaneously, with project-based learning facilitated by mentors. This model is effective in improving the technical, soft, and conceptual skills of students, as well as forming graduates who are ready to compete professionally without losing their Islamic identity. The challenges faced include differences in basic digital skills of students, limited infrastructure, and the need for competent teachers, which are overcome through intensive mentoring and the use of online teachers. This study recommends strengthening technology-based teacher training, developing a flexible curriculum that is adaptive to digital developments, and replicating this integration model in other Islamic boarding schools to produce a generation of Muslims who are globally competitive. These findings are expected to be the basis for the development of technology-based Islamic education in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

This study aims to answer two research questions: identifying the leadership typology of the principal of Muhammadiyah 1 Junior High School, Ponorogo, and analyzing their contribution to improving the quality of education at the madrasah. The focus of this research is based on the principal's strategic role as a director, manager, and innovator, who determines educational programs and the achievement of service quality. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis that illustrated actual leadership practices. Process analysis was conducted inductively and deductively to identify leadership patterns and summarize their links to improving educational quality. The research results indicate that school principals apply democratic, humanistic, and collective leadership typologies. This typology is evident in decision-making patterns involving teachers and the school committee, attention to the welfare and professional needs of educators, and cross-stakeholder collaboration in implementing school programs. Principals also combine their roles as educators, managers, supervisors, and innovators to strengthen the digitalization of learning, improve teacher competency, and develop student achievement programs. This approach creates a conducive, collaborative, and quality-oriented learning environment. Based on these findings, the research recommends strengthening accountability systems to ensure a more structured collective process, as well as regular evaluation of innovative and digital programs to ensure their relevance to student needs and educational development.
