Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model is an approach that focuses on the active involvement of students in the learning process through real projects. This study aims to optimize the implementation of the PjBL model in improving the skills of Vocational High School (SMK) students, both in terms of technical skills (hard skills) and non-technical skills (soft skills). The research method used is a qualitative approach with case studies in several vocational schools. Data were collected through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of learning documents. The results of the study indicate that optimal implementation of PjBL can improve students' understanding of concepts, problem-solving skills, and collaboration and communication skills. In addition, challenges in implementing PjBL include limited facilities, teacher readiness, and the need for industry support in project development. Therefore, synergy between schools, industry, and government is needed to increase the effectiveness of PjBL in equipping students with skills relevant to the world of work.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Internship and self-efficacy in shaping student career decisions, partially or simultaneously. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The research was conducted on 150 students at SMK Kota and Pasuruan Regency in the competence of mechanical engineering expertise. Data collection techniques using a closed questionnaire. Data were analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression tests. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of mobile-based learning, especially android-based, on learning outcomes, student interest, and work readiness in Vocational High School. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA approach, researchers identified and analyzed 31 relevant publications from 2020 to 2024. The results of this study indicate that android-based learning significantly improves learning outcomes of vocational high school students, especially in vocational subjects. Android-based applications provide flexibility and interactivity that allow students to understand the subject matter more deeply than conventional learning methods. In addition, android-based application also plays an important role in increasing student interest. Interactive features, such as interesting simulations and visualizations, have been shown to increase student interest in the learning process, making learning more interesting and relevant to them. On the other hand, the use of android media in learning also shows a positive impact on student work readiness. Project Based Learning (PjBL) and practical simulations integrated into android-based learning applications strengthen students' basic knowledge and help them to develop practical skills that are relevant to the demands of the industrial world. Overall, this study confirms that android-based learning has great potential in improving the quality of Vocational High School education, both in terms of academic aspects and work readiness skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengukur secara terpisah hubungan antara persepsi diri dengan kemampuan mengintegrasikan TPACK, variabel motivasi kerja dengan kemampuan mengintegrasikan TPACK, dan hubungan simultan antara variabel persepsi diri dan motivasi kerja. dengan kemampuan untuk mengintegrasikan TPACK. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 121 guru, sementara sampel penelitian adalah 103 guru mata pelajaran produktif kejuruan dari 5 SMK di Kabupaten Lumajang yang terakreditasi A baik dari segi kelembagaan maupun program keahlian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pembuatan instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner. Teknik analisis data deskriptif dan analisis korelasi dengan menggunakan uji F menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara persepsi diri dengan kemampuan mengintegrasikan TPACK yang ditunjukkan dengan p hitung = 0,000 pada taraf signifikansi 0,05; (2) ada hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi kerja dengan kemampuan mengintegrasikan TPACK yang ditunjukkan dengan p hitung = 0,000 pada taraf signifikansi 0,05; dan (3) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara persepsi diri dan motivasi kerja dengan kemampuan mengintegrasikan TPACK. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara persepsi diri dan motivasi kerja guru pada mata pelajaran produktif SMK dengan kemampuan mereka dalam mengintegrasikan TPACK dalam pembelajaran

Abstract

This study aims to identify and classify factors that influence the work readiness of vocational school graduates, analyze the contribution of each factor, and provide evidence-based recommendations for policy development and learning practices in vocational schools. The method used in this study is Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which analyzes articles related to factors affecting the work readiness of vocational school graduates from ScienceDirect. The results of the review show that the Work Readiness of vocational school graduates is influenced by three main categories of factors: individual (technical competence, soft skills, self-efficacy), institutional (curriculum, industrial practice experience), and external (industrial environment, local job opportunities, government policies). All three interact with each other and contribute significantly to work readiness. Strengthening work readiness can be achieved by adapting the curriculum that is relevant to labor market needs, increasing industrial practice experience, and strengthening institutional support and cooperation with the business world. Recommendations for vocational education policy development include improving curriculum quality, strengthening soft skills, and providing wider internship and career development opportunities.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the optimal combination of a mixture containing bamboo fibre and polyester resin, with the addition of coconut fibre as a reinforcing material. The main objective of this research is to test tensile tests to determine the most suitable strength factor. In addition, this research aims to evaluate how changes in specific parameters affect the tensile characteristics of composite materials. The parameters observed include the proportion of the matrix to the volume of coconut fibre, the percentage of alkali concentration, and the length of the coconut fibre. The composite fabrication stage involves using the hand lay-up and Taguchi methods. The reason for choosing the L4(23) orthogonal experimental design is that there are three process parameters, each with two levels. The trial was duplicated five times. Important factors studied include the ratio of matrix and volume of coconut fibre, alkali concentration, and length of coconut fibre. Based on the results obtained from this research, it has been proven that the most effective combination to achieve the highest tensile strength is a matrix that accounts for 60% of the composition, coconut fibre occupies 20% of the volume, and an alkali concentration of 5.%, and coconut fibre strands measuring 30 mm long. The tensile strength test result of this particular composition was 54.34 MPa. Apart from that, the length of coconut fibre is the most significant factor in increasing tensile strength, with a contribution of 42.560%.

Abstract

Salah satu pengaruh perkembangan teknologi dan informasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari adalah penggunaan smarphone. Penggunaan  smartphone  yang terbanyak pada siswa adalah untuk bermain games dan media sosial. Untuk menanggulangi hal tersebut perlu adanya inovasi penggunaan  smartphone  sebagai media pembelajaran sehingga siswa dapat belajar dengan mandiri melalui smartphone yang mereka punya, termasuk pada elemen Teknik Pembesaran Komoditas Perikanan Air Tawar SMK kelas XI, yang sudah menggunakan aplikasi Si Patin untuk melakukan pemberian pakan dan pengukuran kualitas air pada kegiatan praktik pembesaran ikan. Metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Developmen, Implementation, and Evaluation),  karena sederhana, tahapan-tahapannya tidak terlalu panjang dan mudah untuk dipahami, selain itu di akhir setiap tahapan dapat dilakukan evaluasi sehingga dapat meminimalisir tingkat kesalahan dan kekurangan produk yang dikembangkan. Pengujian dilakukan oleh ahli media, ahli materi, dan uji kelompok kecil. Instrumen  pengumpulan data untuk mengetahui kelayakan pengembangan aplikasi Si Patin, menggunakan angket. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data validasi persentase kelayakan ahli media sebesar 96,05%, ahli materi sebesar 96,15%, dan hasil respon peserta didik pada uji kelompok kecil mendapatkan persentase sebesar 92,5%. Dengan demikian pengembangan aplikasi  Si Patin sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada elemen pembesaran komoditas perikanan air tawar Kelas XI SMK.

Abstract

Currently, technology has changed the paradigm of how educators teach and how students learn in obtaining various sources of learning information. Entrepreneurship subjects in vocational schools require teachers to provide real-world implementation in presenting entrepreneurial literacy material, so that they can develop the potential of MSMEs around the school area. One of the potentials for MSMEs is Koi fish cultivation in Kemloko Village, Nglegok District, Blitar Regency. This research aims to develop the Koi Park Blitar e-learning media application based on Android QR Scan in Entrepreneurship subjects using the ADDIE model. The learning media is suitable for use with validation results by material experts of 96.15 (very feasible) and media experts of 92.30 (very feasible).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create and develop a simple electric vehicle trainer as a learning medium in basic automotive subjects in the Department of Automotive Engineering. Knowing the level of feasibility, and knowing the effectiveness of simple electric vehicle trainers as a learning medium in basic automotive subjects. The research and development method used is the ADDIE model. Based on the results of data analysis, the percentage of eligibility of media experts was 88.45%, material experts were 83.65%, and the results of student responses in small group tests obtained a percentage of 97.95%. Thus, the development of a simple electric vehicle trainer is very feasible touse. Thus, the development of a simple electric vehicle trainer is very suitable for use as a learning medium for basic automotive subjects for the purpose of learning electric vehicles. From the results of the normality test, a sig value > 0.05 was obtained, so it was concluded that the data was normally distributed, so that a parametric statistical test was used, namely using the t-test.  From the calculations it is known that the Asymp Sig (2 tailed) value is 0.000, so it can be said that there is a difference in the increase in learning outcomes for the experimental class compared to the control class. So, it can be concluded that there is an effect of increasing class learning outcomes that use the development of a simple electric vehicle trainer as a learning medium in basic automotive subjects for the purpose of learning electric vehicles.

Abstract

Presidential Regulation (PERPRES) Number 2 of 2022 concerning National Entrepreneurship Development for 2021-2024, mandates that the target entrepreneurship ratio in 2024 is 4.0%. Vocational education that oversees SMK encourages students to be productive, one of which is through entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurial interest is one of the important precursor variables for entrepreneurship. This study uses a quantitative approach survey method. The form of problem formulation used in this study is associative-causal. The sample used in this study amounted to 222 students from public vocational schools in Malang City. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used include descriptive, partial correlation, and multiple regression. The conclusion in this study shows that career adaptability and self-discipline have no partial effect on students' entrepreneurial interest, while self-efficacy and digital literacy have a partial effect on students' entrepreneurial interest. The results also reveal that there is no simultaneous influence between career adaptability, self-efficacy, self-discipline, digital literacy on entrepreneurial interest of vocational students in Malang City.
