Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are crucial drivers of national economies, particularly in developing countries like Indonesia. The COVID-19 pandemic significantly disrupted SME operations, yet also accelerated the adoption of digital technologies as a strategy for resilience and recovery. This study aims to map the research landscape of SME digitalization through a bibliometric analysis using data extracted from the Scopus database for the period 2020–2025. Employing a systematic literature review (SLR) and PRISMA methodology, 96 open-access articles in the field of Business, Management, and Accounting were selected and analyzed. The results reveal a sharp increase in digitalization-related research post-pandemic, with central themes including business models, sustainability, industry 4.0, and digital strategy. Network, overlay, and density visualizations generated via VOS viewer indicate that while digital transformation is a well-established topic, emerging themes such as digital maturity, governance, and internationalization present new research directions. This study contributes by offering a comprehensive overview of existing literature, highlighting conceptual linkages, and identifying future research avenues that integrate digital innovation, crisis resilience, and strategic development in SMEs.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a strategic imperative for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), especially in emerging economies like Indonesia. While much attention has been placed on technology adoption, the internal organizational factors—particularly leadership and culture—remain insufficiently examined, despite their critical role in shaping digital readiness and sustainability. This study aims to systematically investigate how transformational leadership and organizational culture interact to influence digital transformation in Indonesian SMEs. It also explores how dynamic capabilities and contextual conditions contribute to digital maturity and resilience. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted based on 48 peer-reviewed articles published between 2018 and 2023 in Scopus Q1/Q2 journals. The articles were selected using keyword combinations related to “digital transformation,” “leadership,” “organizational culture,” “dynamic capability,” “TOE Framework,” “SMEs,” and “Indonesia.” Thematic content analysis was used to extract and synthesize core themes. Four dominant themes emerged: (1) transformational leadership enables digital vision, motivation, and adaptive change; (2) adaptive organizational cultures support innovation and reduce resistance; (3) dynamic capabilities—sensing, seizing, transforming—act as strategic mechanisms; and (4) the Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) framework provides a useful structure for assessing digital readiness. These factors are interdependent and collectively shape the success of SME digital transformation. The study integrates multiple theoretical perspectives—Transformational Leadership Theory, Organizational Culture Theory, Dynamic Capabilities Theory, and the TOE framework—into a comprehensive model of SME digital transformation. It offers practical guidance for leaders and policymakers to design more holistic and context-sensitive digital strategies that extend beyond mere technology adoption

Abstract

This research aimed to determine site specific NPK fertilizer rates combined with rice straw compost application for rice grown on the tidal lowland. This research was conducted in a greenhouse in Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera in February  until September 2017 using a factorial completely randomized design with two factors and three replications. The first factor was NPK fertilizer rate calculated based on the results of soil chemical analysis, consisting of five levels, namely 50% (D1), 75% (D2), 100% (D3), 125% (D4) and 150% (D5) of the site-specific fertilizer rate. The second factor was rice straw compost rate consisting of two levels, namely 5 Mg ha-1 (J1) and 10 Mg ha-1 (J2). The results showed that the application of 150% NPK rate and 10 Mg ha-1 rice straw compost resulted in the best effects on the rice growth grown on the tidal lowland. The application of those fertilizer doses produced the highest maximum number of tillers and productive tillers. In this regard the doses of NPK fertilizers that should be applied are 315 kg urea ha-1, 135 kg SP-36 ha-1 and 90 kg KCl ha-1.

Abstract

Coal fly ash and Azolla biomass are potential materials to be used as raw materials for the manufacture of briquette fertilizers. In this study, the coal fly ash, azolla and urea in various compositions were mixtured to make briquette fertilizers. The study was conducted to evaluate the physical properties of briquette fertilizers, i.e bulk density, compressive strength, porosity, and water holding capacity on various compositions of fly ash-azolla and urea. The research was arranged in a Completely Randomized Design with three replicates. The formulation of briquette fertilizers as treatments was made with the compossition (w/w, dry-weight basis) of (fly ash : azolla) + urea as follows: (40:60)90+10; (40:60)80+20; (40:60)70+30; (50:50)90+10; (50:50)80+20; (50:50)70+30; (60:40)90+10; (60:40)80+20 and (60:40)70+30. The results showed that the variation in composition of coal fly ash-azolla and urea significantly affected the compressive strength, bulk density, water holding capacity and porosity of briquette fertilizers produced. The increase in the proportion of fly ash or the decrease of azolla biomass proportion tends to increase compressive strength and bulk density, and tends to decrease the water holding capacity and porosity of briquette fertilizers produced.

Abstract

The specific location fertilization or in situ fertilization rate is a dynamic application and management method dynamically adapted to the plant’s need according to location and season related to soil chemical properties and aims to increase farmer profit. This greenhouse experiment aimed to evaluate the NPK fertilizer dose based on in situ soil chemistry of tidal swamp compared to NPK recommendation combined with cow manure from the local farm. These pot experiments were conducted from June to October 2019 in a Greenhouse of Soil Science Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir of South Sumatra.  This experiment used a factorial completely randomized design with two factors and three replications. The first factor was NPK fertilizer rate consisting of two levels (200 kg ha-1 Urea, 100 kg ha-1 SP-36, and 100 kg ha-1 KCl) from recommended fertilizer, and (102 kg ha-1 Urea, 0 kg ha-1 SP-36, and 66 kg ha-1 KCl) from the in situ soil analysis. The second factor was cow manure with four levels (2, 6, 8, and 10 Mg ha-1). The result showed that recommended NPK combined with 10 Mg ha-1 cow manure was the best for rice production in tidal lowland and produced 2.5 Mg ha-1.  However, this result was not significant compared to NPK specific locations combined with the same rate of cow manure.

Abstract

This research is based on the challenges faced by grade VII students in understanding folk poetry materials, including rhymes, poems, and gurindam, often due to less interesting learning approaches and the absence of adequate interactive media. To overcome these problems, development research is carried out to produce learning media that is relevant and can facilitate student understanding. The 4D development method (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) was chosen as the framework for this research. The implementation of the learning media named "Kincir Cipurak" was carried out for grade VII students in one of the junior high schools in East Java. Before being widely implemented, this media went through a validation stage involving material experts, media experts, and subject teachers to ensure its feasibility of use. A limited trial has also been carried out on 16 students. The results of the study show that the learning media "Kincir Cipurak" has proven to be effective in improving students' understanding of folk poetry materials. Assessments from subject matter experts, media experts, and subject teachers categorize this media as "very feasible" to be implemented, with a high average percentage of feasibility in terms of appearance, language, and feasibility of material content.
