Abstract

Abstract

Marketing strategy is the key to achieving sustainable competitive advantage, both for goods and services companies. This study aims to determine the marketing strategy in increasing competitive advantage in local potential SMEs in Ternate City, a multi-site case study on SMEs: Pakesang, Tanawan, and Ummi Habibie. Using a qualitative approach with a multisite case study method, this research explores the variations and similarities of phenomena in three locations. Data analysis techniques include SWOT analysis with IFAS matrix, EFAS, and SWOT diagram, as well as QSPM analysis to determine strategy priorities. Results show that the three SMEs have implemented the STP strategy and marketing mix with a focus on local culture-based product excellence and personalized service. All three were in a favorable position in the SWOT analysis, allowing for the implementation of an aggressive growth strategy. Key recommendations include optimizing digital channels, modernizing production tools, product differentiation, and strengthening local supply chains. Synergy between SMEs and local governments is also recommended to strengthen the business ecosystem.

Abstract

Post-fire tropical peatlands in Southeast Asia face severe ecological degradation, yet the biological dimension, particularly soil microbial abundance as an indicator of ecosystem health, remains understudied. This study aimed to quantify culturable bacterial and fungal populations across different peat layers in a fire-affected peatland in Perigi Village, South Sumatra, Indonesia. Soil samples were collected from two depths  (0-30 cm and 30-60 cm) using a stratified random sampling approach and analyzed with the Total Plate Count (TPC) method on nutrient agar and potato dextrose agar media. Results showed a clear vertical stratification, with microbial populations significantly higher in the surface layer (0-30 cm) than in the subsurface layer (30-60 cm), reaching maximum counts of 2.6×10? CFU g?¹ for bacteria and 8.8×10³ CFU g?¹ for fungi. Sapric peat consistently supported greater microbial abundance than hemic peat, likely due to higher nutrient availability and periodic inputs from recovering vegetation. Regression analysis confirmed a significant negative relationship between peat depth and microbial counts, whereas water table depth had no measurable effect, highlighting the stronger influence of decomposition stage and soil structure over short-term hydrological fluctuations. These findings emphasize the ecological importance of microbial communities in degraded tropical peatlands and suggest that microbial viability metrics offer a cost-effective, biologically relevant indicator for peatland health assessment. Integrating microbial parameters into restoration planning may enhance evidence-based strategies for managing post-fire tropical peat ecosystems.

Abstract

The Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), has begun implementing an electronic certificate policy as part of the digital transformation of the national land system. The purpose of the study is to analyze, identify and recommend legal implementation to improve the protection of the rights of electronic certificate land owners. The research method uses a qualitative method with a normative legal research type with a statutory and conceptual approach. The results of the study show that electronic certificates have valid legal force based on the Regulation of the Minister of ATR/BPN Number 1 of 2021 and the Law on Information and Electronic Transactions. Although it has a strong legal basis, its implementation still faces challenges in the form of limited digital infrastructure, low public literacy, and concerns about data security. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the legal protection system and comprehensive socialization to the community. In conclusion, the legal validity of electronic certificates is not only determined by the normative framework, but is also supported by public trust, the integrity of the digital system, and legal protection that is equivalent to physical certificates. Research Strengthening technological infrastructure, digital literacy, and a reliable monitoring system are the keys to success.

Abstract

This research aims to design and build an integrated operational information system on a web-based platform as an effective solution to these problems. The system was developed using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the Waterfall model, encompassing requirements analysis, UML- based design, implementation with PHP and the Laravel framework, and testing via the black-box method. The result of this research is a functional web-based application that successfully integrates three main modules: operational service logging, employee attendance management, and automated financial reporting. Black-box testing results show that 100% of the system's functionalities are valid and align with defined requirements. The developed system is proven to increase process efficiency, ensure data accuracy, and accelerate report delivery, thereby supporting better decision-making at the Ciwastra Post Office.
