Abstract

The purchase decision represents the point at which consumers finalize their choice of a product or service. People evaluate a number of criteria before making a decision, such as marketing campaigns, costs, product quality, brand perception, distribution strategies, and other aspects. Therefore, to improve purchasing decisions and build brand recognition, businesses need to plan their marketing efforts deliberately. For example, HMNS uses various marketing strategies, including storytelling marketing, to encourage consumer purchasing behavior. The reputation of the HMNS brand depends on maintaining product quality, such as the longevity of its fragrances. Adding these factors to the scope of research can provide a deeper understanding of how they influence consumer choices and brand perceptions. The study uses a quantitative technique in conjunction with a descriptive and explanatory methodology. Purposive sampling, a non- probability sampling approach, was used to choose the participants. 385 HMNS perfume users who follow the @HMNS Instagram account were included in the sample. SmartPLS 4.0 software was used to analyze the data using inferential analysis (also known as partial least squares, or PLS) and descriptive statistics. The findings show that: 1) Brand image is positively and considerably impacted by storytelling marketing; 2) e- WOM has a positive and large impact on brand image; 3) Purchase decisions are not much impacted by storytelling marketing; 4) Purchase decisions are positively and considerably influenced by e-WOM; 5) Purchase decisions are positively and significantly impacted by brand image; 6) Storytelling Marketing fully mediates the relationship between brand image and purchase decisions; 7) e-WOM somewhat mediates the influence of brand image on purchasing decisions. With research, we can explore more deeply that brand image can have a deeper influence on purchase decisions. Which can be proven by storytelling marketing, which cannot have a positive and insignificant influence on purchase decisions directly but with the existence of a brand image, this relationship becomes positive and significantly influence purchase decisions among HMNS parfume users.

Abstract

Economic education, as one of the fields of study in higher education, plays a crucial role in preparing the younger generation to understand and manage economic decisions. Research in this field has been growing rapidly, yet the direction of research needs to be well-mapped to identify future gaps. This study employs bibliometric techniques, including Bradford’s Law, Co-occurrence Network Analysis, and Thematic Mapping. The results reveal that the distribution of publications in this field is highly uneven. Bradford’s Law analysis shows that most publications come from a small number of key journals, while co-occurrence analysis identifies strong connections between various themes in economic education, with "economic education" as a central node linking major topics such as educational models, cognitive challenges, economic literacy, and entrepreneurship. This study indicates that economic education is interdisciplinary, encompassing cognitive, social, and behavioral dimensions. It suggests that more research should focus on integrating economic education theory with practical applications in areas such as entrepreneurship development and economic literacy. Furthermore, further exploration of the impact of evidence-based economic education interventions on student learning outcomes is recommended, along with identifying new opportunities for the development of curricula and economic education models that are more relevant to future needs.

Abstract

Oil palm productivity can be increased by optimizing the availability of nutrients in the soil. Evaluation of nutrient status can be done to determine the level of nutrient availability for plants and as a basis for compiling site-specific fertilizer recommendations. This study aimed to evaluate the soil nutrient status in oil palm plantations at SMK PPN Sembawa Banyuasin and to compile fertilizer dose recommendations according to plant nutrient needs and nutrient availability in the soil. Analysis of chemical and physical properties of the soil was carried out at the Analytical Laboratory of PT. Binasawit Makmur Palembang. The parameters observed were pH, C-Organic, N, P, K, CEC, Al-dd and Soil Texture. This study used a detailed survey method on an area of 5 ha. Soil sampling was carried out at 5 observation points at a depth of 0-30 cm. The results of the study showed that the soil nutrient status at the research location had acidic soil pH conditions, low organic carbon, very low to low availability of N, P, K nutrients and low soil CEC. The soil texture class at the study location was Dusty Clay Loam. The low availability of nutrients at the study location caused the production of oil palm plants to be less than optimal. The calculation of the recommended fertilizer dose for 14-year-old oil palm plants at the study location was, with an average of 225.75 kg of Urea/ha/year or 1.83 kg/tree/year, SP-36 as much as kg/ha/year or 1.42 kg/tree/year, and KCl as much as 226.65 kg/ha/year or 1.83 kg/tree/year.

Abstract

Ultisol soils have low fertility, characterized by high acidity, low C-organic content and limited availability of P nutrients. One way to improve the properties of Ultisol is through the application of a combination of humic acid-biochar and SP-36 fertilizer. This study aims to evaluate the effect of the combination on phosphorus availability, as well as the growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) grown on Ultisol. The research was conducted in the Plastic House, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, from September to December 2024. The method used was a Randomized Complete Factorial Design (RALF) with two treatment factors, namely humic acid-biochar (A) with 4 levels and SP-36 fertilizer (P) with 3 levels. Each treatment combination was repeated three times, resulting in a total of 36 experimental units. The results showed that the application of humic acid-biochar at a dose of 20 tons ha-¹ gave an increase in soil pH, C-organic content, phosphorus availability, phosphorus uptake, and growth and yield of green mustard plants compared to other doses. Meanwhile, the application of SP-36 fertilizer at a dose of 100 kg ha-¹ also increased soil pH, phosphorus availability and uptake, as well as the growth and production of mustard greens. In addition, there was a significant interaction between humic acid-biochar treatment and SP-36 fertilizer on plant height and wet weight of mustard greens.

Abstract

Abstract - The rapid advancement of aviation technology necessitates rigorous structural evaluations to ensure safety and efficiency. This study focuses on analyzing water ingress in sandwich composite structures used in the cabin floor of the Airbus A330, employing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and simulation methods. Using thermography, areas with water ingress were identified, with darker regions indicating trapped moisture within the composite layers. Two cases were analyzed: one with areas requiring repair and another within acceptable damage limits as per the Structure Repair Manual (SRM). The study simulated the effects of pressure and temperature using ANSYS. Results revealed minimal pressure differences, with values ranging between 0 and 0.80 atm. Temperature simulations showed a range of 21°C to 24°C, suggesting potential condensation that could lead to water ingress. Structural simulations evaluated the composite's deformation, elastic strain, and stress distribution. The maximum deformation was 5.1138 mm, with elastic strain peaking at 0.0033772 mm/mm and stress von Mises reaching 591.74 MPa, well within the material's safety threshold. This research highlights the importance of periodic inspections and advanced simulation techniques in maintaining composite structures. Recommendations include utilizing additional NDT methods, such as ultrasonic testing, to enhance detection accuracy and investigating actual cabin conditions to refine future analyses.
