Abstract

This study aims to analyze the students’ problems in using Youtube videos as online English learning media during covid-19 pandemic at grade XI of SMK Al-Hasra. The research subject consists of 15 students of XI grade SMK Al-Hasra. The data are collected using qualitative research methods, namely the type of basic interpretive studies where the data are obtained by questionnaire to the student in the Google form. The result of data analysis showed that 73% of the student agree that the use of Youtube video as English Learning media has a problem that is need to fix in order to create the learning activity more excellent. Based on the research result of this study, the use of Youtube as online learning media need some enhancement in order to make online learning using Youtube even more effective.

Abstract

English proficiency has become something that should be mastered in this modern era. The limitations of educational institutions make the students lack mastery of the English language itself. Some schools solve the problem by making English extracurricular a “container” for students to express their interest and potential in English. This study aims to find out how the existence of an extracurricular English club can create a comfortable English environment for students. This study uses qualitative research with descriptive methods conducted through interviews and observations over 10 students as the respondence. The techniques for analyzing the data in this study used the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and drawing the conclusions. The results of the study found that the English club was a good means for students to practice English, as well as preparing students to be more mature and ready to compete

Abstract

With the rise of pop culture, social media-style Fanfiction is a new style of fanfiction that are mostly read by students. However, students still find it hard to write narrative stories. This study is aimed at enhancing students’ narrative writing skills by employing social media-style Fanfiction stories as learning media. The design of the study is a pre-experimental design with one-group pre-test and post-test design. The samples of the study were 30 students from the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 5 Depok. The data were collected using pre-test, treatment, and post-test and the data were calculated using a paired sample t-test to see the significant difference. Based on the data analysis, the findings showed that the students’ narrative writing skills were improved after using social media-style fanfiction as a learning media. In learning processes, students are involved in various writing activities such as practicing writing topic sentences, supporting sentences, and narrative features of narrative texts. It was proven with students’ writing achievement in the post-test. The score mean was increased from 66,58 to 81,04, and from the t-score it is -10,308 from t-table -2,045 which means that the hypothesis H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that the use of social media-style fanfiction story was able to enrich students’ narrative writing mastery at eleventh grade students.

Abstract

The success of student learning cannot be separated from the appropriate media and learning strategies. With the support of appropriate resources and new technologies, adult learners may effectively learn languages on their own, anywhere. Lack of knowledge about new technologies lead students to the lack of vocabulary. The existence of new technology must also be supported by the ability of students to master the technology. In connecting with the abilities that students have, the teacher finds obstacles, especially for students with special needs, mentally disabled students. Audio-visual media in the form of Flash card, drawing book and animated learning videos are used in English subjects at SLB Ulaka Penca. This study was conducted to investigate whether or not Audio-visual could be effective media to enhance students’ vocabulary mastery. Abstract

The Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) is an assessment that designed to measure the literacy and numeracy abilities needed by all students to develop themselves and actively participate in society and to prepare students for the 21st century. The study aims to describe the numeracy ability of eighth graders of SMPN 134 Jakarta in answering the question of the Class Minimum Competency Assessment. The research technique used is a descriptive qualitative method. The research involved 58 eighth-grade students of SMPN 134 Jakarta during the 2022-2023 academic year who will be answering the question of the Class Minimum Competency Assessment on Phase D for numeracy competence. Furthermore, the results of students' work were categorized into three levels of numeracy ability, namely low, medium, and high. After being categorized, interviews were conducted with representatives of 3 students at each level of numeracy ability. Based on the results of study, it can be concluded that the numeracy ability level of eighth-grade students of SMPN 134 Jakarta is still low with details of 55 students at a low numeracy ability, 3 other students have medium numeracy ability, and no students at a high level of numeracy ability.

Abstract

Matematika masih dianggap sebagai pelajaran yang menakutkan oleh sebagian besar siswa dan menjadi salah satu pelajaran yang dianggap sulit. Oleh karena itu, sikap kuat dan tangguh dibutuhkan dalam belajar matematika, terutama bagi siswa SMA, karena materi yang dipelajari sudah lebih abstrak dan membutuhkan keterampilan yang lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat resiliensi matematis siswa jurusan MIPA dan IPS di SMAN 94 Jakarta. Metode penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara keseluruhan tingkat resiliensi matematis siswa gabungan antara jurusan MIPA dan IPS maupun per jurusan di SMAN 94 Jakarta berada pada kategori sedang. Lebih lanjut, rata-rata skor resiliensi matematis siswa jurusan MIPA sebesar 66,36 dan rata-rata skor resiliensi matematis siswa jurusan IPS sebesar 64,71 sehingga dapat disimpulkan tingkat resiliensi matematis siswa jurusan MIPA lebih tinggi daripada siswa jurusan IPS. Berdasarkan indikator resiliensi matematis, pada indikator 1 dan 2 Jurusan IPS memiliki rata-rata skor yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan jurusan MIPA, dan pada indikator 3,4,5, dan 6 jurusan MIPA memiliki rata-rata skor yang lebih tinggi daripada jurusan IPS. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, diharapkan para guru dapat meningkatkan kemampuan resiliensi matematis peserta didik sehingga mampu mengikuti proses pembelajaran dengan baik serta peserta didik diharapkan dapat menganalisis tingkat resiliensi matematis dalam dirinya untuk lebih semangat dalam belajar matematika

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui trend penelitian kemampuan koneksi matematis dan melihat peluang penelitian tentang kemampuan koneksi dimasa depan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis bibliometrik. Data dalam penelitian ini didapatkan melalui google scholar dari tahun 2017-2022 dengan keywords mathematical connection ability. Peneliti menganalisis 671 artikel dari 996 artikel asli tahun 2017 - 2022. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan penggunaan perangkat lunak PoP dan VOSviewers untuk menganalisis data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti membuat kesimpulan bahwa terdapat item mathematics education, conteks, survey, logic, chapter, solution dan mathematical connection yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan perkembangan dalam penelitian kemampuan koneksi matematis dimasa depan.

Abstract

Fenomena yang tidak asing adalah mata pelajaran matematika yang selalu dihindari dan ditakuti oleh siswa. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah siswa tidak memiliki motivasi belajar saat pembelajaran matematika. Rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa disebabkan karena guru hanya menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional dan interaksi hanya berlangsung satu arah sehingga menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang membosankan dan monoton. Pada perkembangan teknologi di era modern ini mewajibkan guru untuk berinovasi dalam merancang kegiatan pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memaparkan implementasi Quizizz sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis Education Game terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian ini dengan menggunakan studi literatur dengan mengkaji penelitian-penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, implementasi Quizizz sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis Education Game dilakukan melalui tahapan analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Dengan demikian diperoleh bahwa adanya penerapan Quizizz dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan dan memberikan pengaruh positif pada kegiatan pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Wordwall dan kotak soal adalah media permainan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, menghibur, dan menarik perhatian siswa. Meski begitu, pengaruh media pembelajaran terhadap minat dan hasil belajar siswa berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media Wordwall terhadap minat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen Quasy Eksperimental dengan Desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penentuan kelas eksperimen dan kontrol menggunakan metode literature review, perlakuan pada kelas eksperimen menggunakan media wordwall dan media kotak soal pada kelas kontrol. Dari penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media wordwall terhadap minat dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan matematis yang berperan penting bagi siswa dan diharapkan siswa memiliki kemampuan literasi matematis yang baik. Adversity Quotient (AQ) merupakan kecerdasan yang dibutuhkan siswa untuk menghadapi kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal literasi matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji kemampuan literasi matematis ditinjau dari adversity quotient pada pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu systematic literature review, dengan 19 artikel yang di-review. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mendokumentasikan dan mereview semua artikel mengenai kemampuan literasi matematis, adversity quotient, dan kemampuan literasi matematis ditinjau dari adversity quotient pada pembelajaran matematika. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adversity merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Semakin tinggi adversity quotient siswa maka semakin tinggi juga kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Sebaliknya, jika adversity quotient siswa rendah maka rendah juga kemampuan literasi matematis siswa.
