Abstract

Community organizations (Ormas) in a country are evidence of the existence of democracy in a country. Indonesia is a constitutional state as well as a democratic state according to Article 1 Paragraphs 2 and 3 of the 1945 Constitution. The existence of mass organizations is recognized and protected in Indonesia as part of the state's recognition of the rights of every citizen to freedom of association and assembly. The dissolution of CSOs carried out without court procedures, according to the author, is a violation of the concept of the rule of law adopted by Indonesia as well as the castration of the rights of association, assembly, and expression of opinion in a democratic country. This study uses a socio-legal approach, with analytical descriptive research methods. Sources of data used are primary data in the form of interviews. The primary legal materials used in this research are the Law on Ormas; and SKB concerning the Prohibition of Activities Using Symbols and Attributes and Termination of FPI Activities. The results of the study stated that the disbandment of mass organizations was politically and ideologically motivated, namely differences in political attitudes and aspirations between Islamic organizations and the government. The dissolution of mass organizations is the impact of the applied procedural democracy. Democracy is not practiced substantially, in a democratic climate, differences in aspirations are a necessity. The disbandment of mass organizations has an impact on disharmony relations between religion and the state, between religious adherents and the government, and has the potential to cause polarization in society. The direct impact of the disbandment of Islamic organizations is the difficulty of building a synergistic relationship between religion and the state, between religious adherents and the government.[]Organisasi kemasyarakatan (Ormas) di suatu negara adalah bukti hidupnya demokrasi di sebuah negara.

Abstract

This study examines how Okezone.com and Medcom.id construct reality in their reporting on ASO policies using Robert N. Entman's framing analysis. A qualitative descriptive method was used, focusing on eight news articles (four from each outlet). This study analyzes how the media defines the implementation of ASO policies, diagnoses the causes, makes moral judgments, and proposes solutions. The findings point to a different framing strategy: Medcom.id, which is connected to Surya Paloh, the chairman of the NasDem Party, supports the policy through sources connected to the government. On the contrary, Hery Tanoesoedibjo's Okezone.com criticized the ASO policy so that it affected negative framing and the selection of critical sources. These different approaches describe how the construction of media reality is shaped by external factors and ideological influences. Understanding these dynamics encourages critical news consumption and awareness of media bias in shaping public opinion.

Abstract

Eggs are a food ingredient with excellent nutritional value, but their quality can deteriorate when stored for a long time. As consumers, it is crucial to be cautious in determining the quality of eggs to be consumed, as eggs may contain harmful pathogens that can cause diseases. The traditional manual detection process, typically done using a flashlight and water, is time-consuming and not always accurate. To address this issue, there is a need for an accurate egg quality inspection system to ensure that the eggs consumed are in a suitable condition. Based on this problem, an automated egg quality detection device has been developed using a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor. The device is composed of an Arduino Uno as the main microcontroller. When the LDR sensor detects light intensity emitted from the egg with a value <600, the egg is considered good; conversely, if the LDR value is >600, the egg is deemed bad. The output of the detection process is displayed on an LCD screen, accompanied by indicator lights. This device not only aids consumers in selecting high-quality eggs but also provides advantages for the egg industry. The implementation of this technology can enhance the efficiency of the mass egg selection process, reducing the risk of spreading diseases present in substandard eggs.

Abstract

The compressor (C-100) located in the Hydrobon & Platforming I unit is designed to meet the need for recycled gas to keep the H2/HC ratio optimal in the Platforming I section and minimise the rate of coke formation in the reactor. In addition, a Compressor (C-100) is used during the start-up process of the Platforming I unit to maximise LPG production. However, PT X is currently focusing on reformatting production to meet market demand, which prompts considering commissioning a Compressor (C-100) for energy efficiency and cost savings. The shutdown of the previous compressor, which consumed 2400 kWh per day at an annual electricity cost of IDR 8,347,273,344.00, has significantly reduced energy consumption. However, other operational costs, such as maintenance and lube oil make-up, remained during the period, with annual expenses of IDR 440,036,956.00 and IDR 48,741,977.00, respectively. In addition, energy from alternative sources such as steam and cooling water also increased to maintain process performance, with total annual operating costs of IDR 56,256,360,451.20 and IDR 179,789,760.00, respectively. Overall, the operating cost of the Compressor (C-100), which includes electricity, make-up lube oil, and maintenance, totalled IDR 8,836,052,276.80 each year. A review of the compressor operation could provide a solution for cost optimisation and energy efficiency for the company.
