Abstract

SMKN 1 Singingi Hilir is a vocational high school (SMK) located in Petai, Singingi Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province, and is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. In its educational delivery, this school implements a vocational learning system that encompasses productive, normative, and adaptive subjects as a unified process that students must complete. Productive learning focuses on mastering competencies in accordance with the student's chosen major, while normative and adaptive learning support the development of character, general knowledge, and other supporting skills. To ensure the achievement of educational goals and graduate competencies, systematic and ongoing learning evaluation is necessary. Evaluation serves not only to measure learning outcomes but also to assess the effectiveness of the learning methods, strategies, and media used. Evaluation of productive subjects is a particular focus because it directly relates to students' readiness to enter the workforce or continue their education to a higher level. With appropriate evaluation, the quality of learning and the quality of graduates are expected to continuously improve.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and explore various factors that influence cardiovascular endurance among students participating in the athletic extracurricular program at SDN Danau Sadar, with a focus on comparing two physical training methods, namely interval training and circuit training, as well as examining leg length as a moderating factor. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a 2×2 factorial design. The population consisted of all students participating in the athletic extracurricular program at SDN Danau Sadar, totaling 32 students. The sample was selected using the 27% upper group and 27% lower group formula from the total population, resulting in 16 students. Data collection was conducted using the PACER test to measure cardiovascular endurance. Data analysis was performed using Two-Way ANOVA. The results of the study and analysis indicate that: (1) there is a significant difference in the effect of interval training and circuit training on cardiovascular endurance, as evidenced by an F value of 5.367 and a p value of 0.036 < 0.05. The circuit training group showed better cardiovascular endurance than the interval training group, with a posttest difference of 15.38; (2) there is a significant difference between short leg length and long leg length on cardiovascular endurance, as evidenced by an F value of 5.614 and a p value of 0.033 < 0.05. The long-leg group demonstrated better cardiovascular endurance than the short-leg group, with a posttest difference of 15.63; (3) there is no interaction between the type of training applied and leg length in influencing cardiovascular endurance, as evidenced by an F value of 0.379 and a p value of 0.550 > 0.05. In conclusion, circuit training is more effective than interval training in improving the cardiovascular endurance of students participating in the athletic extracurricular program, long leg length provides an advantage in cardiovascular endurance, and there is no interaction between training type and leg length in influencing cardiovascular endurance. Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the impact of independent supervisory boards on CSR disclosure with board gender diversity as a moderating variable in Indonesia’s two-tier board system. Research Methodology: The sample in this study consists of 2,118 firm-year observations based on Indonesian-listed firms from 2017 to 2020. Multiple linear regression is used to estimate the models, and the generalized method of moments (GMM) method addresses endogeneity issues. Results: This study finds a positive correlation between independent supervisory boards and CSR disclosure, but board gender diversity does not significantly affect this relationship. Conclusions: Independent supervisory boards positively influence CSR disclosures in Indonesia’s two-tiered system. However, board gender diversity does not moderate this relationship, contributing new insights to CSR research in contrast to the one-tier systems in the US and Europe. Limitations: This study’s limitations include focusing on the quantity rather than the quality of CSR disclosures, manual data collection from firm reports, and reliance solely on a quantitative approach. Contributions: This study highlights the effectiveness of independent supervisory boards in CSR disclosure within Indonesia’s two-tier system and contrasts it with findings from one-tier systems in other countries.
