Abstract

Agrotourism is a tourist attraction that utilizes natural business (agro) to become a tourist attraction. Of course to expand knowledge, experience, recreation, and business relations in the field of animal husbandry, livestock, fisheries. With so many agro-tourism sites offered in Indonesia, of course, this is a challenge for the managers of agro-tourism areas. One phenomenon in land use is land conversion (land conversion). This phenomenon is in line with the increasing need for and demand for land, both from the agricultural sector and from the non-agricultural sector due to population growth and development activities. Bali), one of which is the Wongaya Betan Subak, Mengesta Village, which is used as the center for food gateways for the Tabanan Regency. Mengesta Village is an agricultural area that has special characteristics because it has natural panoramas in the form of mountain ranges and beautiful stretches of terraced rice fields with an area of around 4,437 hectares. Agricultural management is carried out in a poor traditional way with a touch of science and technology. The development of rice agro-tourism is carried out by adding tourism destinations that are in accordance with village potential. The addition of destinations includes restaurants that sell processed agricultural products, home stays as facilities to support tourists who want to stay overnight, education and practice from plowing fields to rice processing as well as education and practice regarding rice rehabilitation where there will also be interesting photo spots.

Abstract

Agrotourism is a non-formal education effort for the local community as well as tourists who make tourist visits. Learning that takes place in agro-tourism is needed because it can support the learning process carried out in schools to deepen learning and have an impact on increasing academic understanding. Kintamani Arabica coffee in terms of quality and taste has been recognized by coffee connoisseur countries in the world. Belantih Village, which is in the Kintamani District, is one of the producers of Arabica coffee, in which every Banjar/Dusun has Subak Abian and farmer groups that regulate Arabica coffee farming activities, one of which is the Dharma Kria farmer group. The Dharma Kria farmer group is a farmer group in Banjar Luahan, Belantih Village which was formed in 2015 with 34 members. In the current era, in Bali coffee is increasingly being enjoyed by various groups. The increasing existence of coffee in Bali can be seen from the facilities of coffee shops in Bali, especially in the Kintamani District, which are increasing, however, there are still many who do not understand Kintamani Arabica coffee. Facilities that provide education and recreation that can be reached by various groups are urgently needed to accommodate tourists who want to learn more about the process of Kintamani Arabica coffee beans starting from the history of Kintamani Arabica coffee, planting, picking, processing, and serving Arabica coffee itself. Recreational activities can be carried out by spreading educational facilities at several points so that tourists feel the sensation of walking in the middle of the residents' coffee plantation area which has a cool climate. Data collection methods used include literature studies, field observations, and surveys

Abstract

Mengening Beach is one of the beaches in Cemagi Village which is a tourist attraction as well as an icon of the Cemagi Tourism Village which is crowded with visitors. Adequate parking facilities are one of the important things to support tourist comfort when visiting Mening Beach. Guidelines for designing good parking facilities are needed in order to create comfortable, safe and efficient parking facilities which cover several aspects such as location selection, capacity, layout, access, and the use of appropriate technology. The choice of location takes into account accessibility, environmental conditions, and safety. A good layout will make it easier for car and motorcycle drivers to get out of the parking lot or to park their vehicles. Designing good parking facilities at Mening Beach can help improve the quality of the tourist experience, as well as increase the safety and comfort of the parking area. This design guideline can be a reference for the government and managers of coastal tourism objects in building effective and efficient parking facilities to support the success of tourism objects..

Abstract

Bali has a mangrove forest with an area of 1,353 ha, which has been designated as a Grand Forest Park since 1993. The economic and environmental potential of this mangrove includes natural recreation, processed products, and ecosystem sustainability. Irresponsible use can damage ecosystems, affect sustainability, and threaten ecotourism. An ecotourism concept that pays attention to ecological sustainability is proposed as a solution, with the application of renewable materials such as bamboo and wood in the planning and design of tourist facilities. This approach aims to minimize damage to the mangrove ecosystem. The design of the Mangrove Ecopark in Tahura Ngurah Rai is expected to improve the local community's economy and support the development of sustainable natural tourism destinations in Bali.

Abstract

Nusa Penida is a small island located southeast of Bali and is part of Klungkung Regency. The natural beauty of Nusa Penida is the main attraction for tourists. Although Nusa Penida has great tourism potential, transportation access to Nusa Penida is one of the challenges. Such as the lack of supporting facilities at the Port Terminal, which is relatively small in size while Nusa Penida experiences rapid growth in the number of tourists from year to year. One of them is the condition of Mentigi Port Terminal, where the infrastructure is poorly maintained and inadequate, making it inefficient to handle the increasing number of tourist ships and passengers, thus potentially hindering economic and tourism growth. Observation is the use of a method by observing and recording data on analyzed matters to enhance insight. Data collection through two-way communication (interviews) to gather information from relevant respondents where the interviewer directly asks questions about a researched object and previously designed data collection for research data collection. Literature Study is a study by collecting and recording data sourced from literature, journals, documents, etc., to obtain researched data. Currently, there is no suitable transportation center for tourists on Nusa Penida, especially the port in terms of facilities that do not follow current developments as a transportation hub on Nusa Penida Island. Therefore, Redesign of Mentigi Port Terminal are crucial because from year to year, tourists are very active and increasing in visiting Nusa Penida, so it is necessary to have a terminal and supporting facilities at the port to facilitate the increasing number of tourists so that they feel safe and comfortable in their first impression stepping foot on Nusa Penida.

Abstract

Turtles, endangered marine reptiles, are internationally protected and regulated by national laws in Indonesia. Despite conservation efforts, research indicates a significant decline in turtle populations due to environmentally unfriendly exploitation. Bali has the potential to serve as a turtle nesting site, but existing conservation facilities are not optimal. The facilities in Bali lack attention to the needs of turtles, and limited infrastructure hampers the development of breeding grounds, especially with a shortage of research facilities. This phenomenon is feared to jeopardize the sustainability of turtle populations and damage their habitats. As a solution, a facility is proposed that integrates turtle conservation and educational tourism on Serangan Island, Bali. The design is not only recreational and educational but also meets technical conservation requirements. Serangan Island is chosen for its safety for turtles, being far from settlements, and strategically located for turtle migration. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with data collection methods in the form of observation and literature study. The Turtle Conservation Center on Serangan Island is planned with the basic concept of sustainable architecture, integrating environmental science and architecture to achieve comprehensive sustainability and the theme of Ecological Architecture, maintaining the balance of natural and artificial environments. Thus, the presence of the Conservation Center is expected to not harm the environment and increase public awareness of the importance of turtle conservation.

Abstract

Pindang, as one of Bali’s strategic fishery commodities, has yet to be supported by proper architectural facilities. Current production areas are often located within residential neighborhoods, leading to pollution and limited accessibility. The existing buildings are generally simple, unsanitary, and lack efficient spatial organization in accordance with hygienic workflow standards. Therefore, the establishment of the Pindang Center in Sudimara Village, Tabanan, with a community-centered sustainability concept, aims to address these issues and support the development and continuity of the pindang industry, which represents a traditional fish preservation technique. The integration of this center with educational tourism serves to introduce traditional fish preservation methods and promote the benefits of fish consumption to the public—an effort to help address low fish consumption rates in the community. The research methodology includes data collection methods (literature review, field observation, interviews, and precedent studies), data presentation methods (descriptive narratives, tables, and visual documentation), and analytical methods (comparative analysis, general analysis, and synthesis). The research results in a design concept encompassing outdoor spatial planning, pindang processing facilities, and supporting utilities, placing pindang production activities at the core of architectural considerations in line with the fundamental concept of community-centered sustainability.
