Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of fiscal decentralization, provincial minimum wages, and local revenue (PAD) on income inequality in the provinces on the island of Sumatra in the period 2018-2024, as well as review the findings in the perspective of Islamic economics. Income inequality in Indonesia, especially in the Sumatra region, is still a significant issue despite various decentralization policies and increased minimum wages. This research method uses a quantitative approach of panel data, which combines time series and cross section data. Data is obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics and other reliable sources. The analysis was conducted using panel data regression model through Random Effect Model (REM) approach selected based on the results of Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests. All testing was done using EViews software. The results of the analysis show that simultaneously, fiscal decentralization, provincial minimum wages, and PAD have a significant effect on income inequality, although the direction and significance vary between variables and provinces. In the Islamic economic perspective, the reduction of income inequality is part of the principle of distributive justice which is required to ensure welfare and avoid the accumulation of wealth in certain groups. Therefore, the implementation of fiscal and labor policies is expected to be in line with Islamic values, such as justice, equity, and alignment with the weak.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of Halal tourism branding as a key determinant of repeat visits by Muslim tourists to Mandalika. The Islamic concept of travel (safar/rihlah) is based on the commandment of Siirū fī al-ardḍ (walking on the earth) as a means of contemplation, aligned with the principle of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah (ḥifẓ al-dīn, or preservation of religion). Using a quantitative approach with 40 respondents who have visited at least twice, the regression results indicate that among the five factors, Halal Product Service (X2) is the most significant, exhibiting a positive and significant influence (p = 0.037) on the intention to revisit. This finding confirms that certified food and prayer facilities are essential for fostering religious commitment. Interestingly, Halal Service (X1) has a significant but negative influence (p = 0.034). Simultaneously, the overall model (F test) is not yet significant (p = 0.081), with an R² of 24.2%. The main conclusion emphasizes Halal Product Service as the primary determinant of revisit intention.

Abstract

Abstract

Assessment is an essential part of the learning process because it measures progress toward learning objectives. One type of assessment suitable for today’s learning needs is authentic assessment, which assesses students’ competencies in a real-world context. However, many teachers still lack the skills to develop authentic assessments. Therefore, training activities are needed to help teachers improve their ability to design authentic assessments. To overcome this problem, a structured training program on developing authentic assessments integrated with local wisdom was conducted. This approach was chosen because local wisdom is closely related to students’ daily lives and helps them understand science concepts more easily. The training was carried out using three main strategies: (1) identifying learning objectives and local wisdom potential, (2) formulating competency achievement indicators, and (3) developing authentic assessments. The results of these training activities show positive outcomes. Based on questionnaire responses at the end of the training, the program helped teachers develop and refine authentic assessments that are more contextually relevant and meaningful.

Abstract

This study analyzes how land area, production costs, and production output affect cassava farmers’ income in Gunung Sugih, Central Lampung, through a quantitative associative design. Data were collected using closed-ended Likert questionnaires, interviews, and observations from cassava farmers (final sample size: [N=165], determined via Cochran’s formula with a 10% margin of error). Instrument validity and reliability were confirmed; Cronbach’s Alpha was 0.651 (land area), 0.700 (production costs), 0.779 (production output), and 0.813 (income). Multiple linear regression shows that all three variables have positive and significant effects on income (p<0.05), with production output being the most influential factor. The model explains 72.6% of income variation (R²=0.726). From an Islamic economic perspective, halal financing, honest transactions, efficient cost management, and commitment to communal welfare strengthen the effectiveness of these technical factors and contribute to blessed income. Policy implications include support for sharia-compliant financing, input access, and farmer training focused on productivity and efficiency.

Abstract

Acne vulgaris is one of the most common dermatological diseases, affecting individuals of all ages, particularly during adolescence. One of the causes of acne vulgaris is the bacterium Cutibacterium acnes. Acne vulgaris is usually characterized by comedones, papules, pustules, or nodules. Factors influencing acne include genetics, psychological factors, hormones, bacterial infection, and sebaceous gland activity. One regularly used treatment for acne vulgaris is acne patches. With the aid of natural ingredients such as lemon juice and pure honey, an alternative treatment for acne vulgaris can be developed. Lemon juice (Citrus limon L.) can be utilized as an antibacterial agent against Cutibacterium acnes due to its flavonoid content, which has biological activity as an antibacterial. Meanwhile, pure honey (Honey bee) is an antioxidant that can kill bacteria and germs, causing itchy acne on the skin, and can help fade acne scars. The study employed a laboratory experimental design. This research aimed to formulate an anti-acne patch preparation containing a combination of lemon juice (Citrus limon L.) and an ethanol extract of pure honey (Honey bee) that would exhibit good physical stability. Evaluation of the anti-acne patch preparation included organoleptic tests, pH, weight uniformity, patch thickness, moisture absorption, and antibacterial activity tests against Cutibacterium acnes using the disk diffusion method. The results indicated that the anti-acne patch exhibited favorable physical properties. The combination of lemon juice and ethanol extract of pure honey enhanced antibacterial activity against Cutibacterium acnes. The antibacterial activity test results showed that the combination of lemon juice and ethanol extract of pure honey in the anti-acne patch at a concentration of 14% had the highest antibacterial activity, with an inhibition zone diameter of 51.38 mm.
