Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between selfregulated learning and adjustment to somatization in final year students at the Islamic University "45" Bekasi. This research uses quantitative. The subjects in this study were final year students at the Islamic University "45" Bekasi, totaling 88 students. This study uses a self- regulated learning scale with a Cronbach Alpha reliability value of 0.850, an adjustment scale with a Cronbach Alpha reliability value of 0.894, and a somatization scale with a Cronbach Alpha reliability value of 0.963. The data analysis technique used descriptive technique, assumption test (normality test and linearity test) and hypothesis test (Spearman Rho test and Simple Linear Regression). The results of this study indicate that there is a negative relationship between self- regulated learning and somatization, the correlation coefficient value is -0.267. And there is a negative relationship between self-adjustment and somatization, the correlation coefficient value is -0.254. While the results of a simple linear regression test between selfregulated learning have an influence on somatization, the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.048. And self-adjustment has an effect on somatization, the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.069

Abstract

Biology practicum is an important part of learning that aims to strengthen conceptual understanding through direct experience. This study aims to identify factors that influence biology practicum activities, especially on the material of plant development structure. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach, involving 15 students of the Biology Education study program who have participated in the Plant Development Structure practicum. Data were collected through a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale (1-5) and structured interviews with students and lecturers to obtain more in-depth information. The analysis showed that collaboration skills had the highest average (4.53) and were the dominant factor in supporting the smooth running of the practicum. Student motivation also played a significant role (4.13), indicating high enthusiasm for participating in the practicum. Other factors, such as laboratory facilities, use of practicum tools, and time management, had the same average value (3.80), indicating that these factors were quite supportive but still needed improvement. Meanwhile, understanding practicum procedures had the lowest average (3.53) with the highest standard deviation (0.834), indicating significant variation in student understanding. The interview results revealed that limited laboratory facilities, lack of skills in using laboratory equipment, and difficulties in time management were the main obstacles to laboratory activities. Overall, this study highlights the importance of collaboration skills and motivation in supporting the effectiveness of laboratory work. In addition, improvements in understanding procedures and providing more adequate facilities and tools are needed to improve the quality of learning in biology laboratory activities.

Abstract

The population density in Indonesia is increasing rapidly, with many breastfeeding mothers delaying the use of contraception due to concerns about interfering with the breastfeeding process for their infants. Contraception is commonly used by mothers after giving birth to space future births; there are many contraceptive options available depending on a mother's knowledge and beliefs in selecting a method. Exclusive breastfeeding serves as a reasonably effective temporary contraceptive method as long as the mother has not menstruated and the infant is less than six months old. The effectiveness of the Lactational Amenorrhea Method reaches 98% for mothers exclusively breastfeeding. The purpose of this outreach is to provide information about the Lactational Amenorrhea Method (LAM). The methods used in this community outreach begin with introductions of the speakers, followed by education on health information, a question and answer session with participants, and closing remarks. This program aims to enable postpartum breastfeeding mothers to utilize LAM as a contraceptive method. The intended outputs of this activity include: Scientific publications in journals with ISSN numbers/Proceedings, video recordings of the activity, improved knowledge and skills of postpartum mothers, and improved community health).

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of the Project Based Learning model through the creation of animated videos on the creativity and learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at MTsN 3 Bima. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach involving two classes: experimental and control. Data collection was conducted using creativity observation sheets and learning outcome tests that had been validated with the Correl validity test and Cronbach's Alpha reliability test. Data analysis used the Shapiro-Wilk normality prerequisite test, Levene's test for homogeneity, and hypothesis testing using the independent sample t-test with a significance level of 5%. The research results showed a significant effect of the Project Based Learning model on students' creativity and learning outcomes, evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 on both variables. The conclusion of the research proves that the Project Based Learning model can enhance the creativity and learning outcomes of eighth-grade students

Abstract

The ceramic layers of 8 mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia (8YSZ), singly doped with Fe2O3 and doubly doped with Fe2O3 and Al2O3, have been deposited successfully on Inconel 625 substrates by the EPD (electrophoretic deposition) process. The oxide doping influenced the stability of the EPD suspension and affected the density of the resultant layer. In order to improve the adhesion between the layer and the substrate, a two-step sintering was performed up to 1200 ºC for a total duration of 4 hours in a horizontal vacuum furnace, with a heating rate of 2 ºC per minute in an Argon gas atmosphere. FE-SEM (field emission scanning electron microscopy) and vickers hardness tests were employed to investigate the effect of single and double doping on the morphology and hardness of the coating layers, respectively. EDS (energy dispersive spectroscopy) was employed to analyze the elemental composition of the layers, while XRD (x-ray diffractometry) was utilized to determine the crystalline phases. The results indicated that the double-doped coating sample possesses a better microstructure and the layer with double doping exhibits a denser microstructure and reduced porosity (3.84%) in contrast to the single doping layer (6.05%). The vickers hardness test indicates a rise in hardness from 65.3 HV with single doping to 283.78 HV with double-doping layers, due to the presence of Al2O3 as the interstitial agent, which reduces the layer's porosity and enhances adhesion between the layer and the substrate. Furthermore, the addition of Al2O3 as the double dopant may impede the tà m phase transformation, leading to enhanced thermal stability in the double-doped coating sample compared to the single-doped coating sample. This study shows that double doping techniques can improve the efficiency of ceramic coatings for high-temperature applications, such gas turbine components, and also giving opportunities for more research in oxidation, corrosion, and erosion testing.
