Abstract

This study examines the local wisdom values embodied in the Salancaran movements of Cimande Pencak Silat and their relevance to strengthening character education in schools. Salancaran movements, as one of the basic sequences in the Cimande style, function not only as self-defense techniques but also contain philosophical messages reflecting Sundanese cultural values such as patience, perseverance, self-control, vigilance, and respect. Using a qualitative approach utilizing ethnographic and ethnopedagogical methods, this study explores the cultural meanings inherent in Salancaran practices through field observations, interviews with Cimande practitioners, and document analysis. The results indicate that the values within the Salancaran movements are strongly linked to the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, thus providing potential as a source for contextual character learning within the Independent Curriculum. The integration of these local cultural values can enrich culture-based educational strategies while strengthening student identity amidst the challenges of globalization. This research provides theoretical contributions to the development of ethnopedagogical studies and practical benefits for education through a conceptual model for utilizing local wisdom as a source for character learning.

Abstract

This study investigates how Sabahan perceive and respond to cybersecurity risks when using mobile banking. This study employed partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and focused on four main factors: user awareness and behavior (UAB), mobile device security (MDS), banking app security features (BASF), and perceived cybersecurity threats (CT). A total of 350 questionnaires were distributed, and 286 valid responses were analyzed. The results indicate that UAB, MDS, and BASF all play a significant role in shaping cybersecurity risk awareness (CRA), while CT showed little to no direct effect. These findings suggest that improving user education and promoting secure practices are just as important as technical safeguards. In particular, enhancing digital literacy among less tech-savvy users, ensuring that security features are simple to use, and strengthening device protections can all help reduce risks of cybersecurity. The study concludes that a combination of user-focused education and stronger security standards is necessary to improve the overall safety of mobile banking services.

Abstract

For businesses in all industries, especially historic institutions that need to strike a balance between modernity and cultural preservation, digital transformation has emerged as a strategic necessity. With an emphasis on the Yogyakarta Palace environment, this study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology in accordance with PRISMA principles to examine the impact of organizational culture, digital leadership, and digital capabilities on digital transformation. From the Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases, 68 articles with peer review published between 2022 and 2026 were methodically found, vetted, and examined. The results show that organizational culture acts as a fundamental enabler that dictates the sustainability of transformation initiatives, digital leadership acts as a strategic catalyst for starting transformation, and digital capabilities offer the necessary organizational competencies for carrying out digital strategies. According to the integrative study, these three factors work together rather than separately, indicating that their simultaneous development is necessary for a digital transformation to be successful. This review presents practical implications for human resource management practitioners as well as a thorough theoretical framework for comprehending digital change inside legacy institutional settings.

Abstract

Purpose- This paper aims to conduct a comprehensive review of the AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) model and its impact on marketing communications within the startup ecosystem. The study specifically explores how startups can leverage the AIDA framework to attract potential customers, stimulate product or service interest, foster ownership desire, and ultimately drive conversion. Design/methodology/approach- This study employs a rigorous bibliometric analysis to trace temporal trends and the intellectual progression of research on the AIDA model and its link to startup success and growth. By examining publication patterns, keyword co-occurrence, and document co-citation networks, the paper quantitatively delineates the main research trajectories related to the application of the AIDA framework in new ventures. Findings-The analysis identifies key research trajectories and, crucially, pinpoints significant gaps in the current literature regarding the practical application and empirical validation of the AIDA model by startups. The synthesis reveals both the potential and the under-explored areas of the framework in dynamic, resource-constrained entrepreneurial settings. Originality/value-This paper offers one of the first bibliometric mappings of AIDA-focused research within the startup context. It provides a structured, quantitative overview that not only guides future academic inquiry but also delivers actionable insights for entrepreneurs seeking to optimize their marketing communications strategies.

Abstract

This study addresses the low writing skills of fifth-grade elementary school students in composing short stories in Indonesian learning. The research aims to determine the effect of the Guided Writing method assisted by image media on students’ short story writing skills. This study employed a quantitative approach with an experimental method using a pretest-posttest control group design. The population consisted of third-grade elementary school students, with samples divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected through writing test and observation sheets, then analyzed using statistical techniques to measure the significance of differences between groups. The result showed that the implementation of the Guided Writing method with image media had a positive and significant effect on students’ writing skills. Students in the experimental class demonstrated better improvement in organizing ideas, developing story elements, and using appropriate language compared to those in the control class. The findings indicate that structured guidance through pre-writing, writing, and post-writing stages, supported by visual stimuli, effectively enhances students’ ability to express ideas in written from. Therefore, the Guided Writing method assisted by image media can be recommended as an effective instructional strategy to improve short story writing skills in elementary school students.
